Wilson's Bittersweet Barn is the perfect venue! We recently got married there, and we were extremely happy with every aspect of our wedding. The Starner family is fantastic to work with and they are so personable. They truly care about you and your special day. The property is beautiful. A lot of time is put into maintaining the flowers and landscaping. LOTS OF GREAT PICTURE OPPORTUNITIES! All the little personal touches they put into your wedding day at the venue is amazing. This venue is beautiful. My family and friends Absolutely loved the views. I'm serious it's beautiful on pictures but the pictures don't do it justice you need to see this for yourself. Troy and Kara are wonderful always there to answer questions.

Absolutely LOVED this venue for our special day. You can see that they’ve put a lot of work in the details around the property which allows plenty of options for photos. I also like that they have indoor restrooms, and a place for both bridesmaids & groomsmen to get ready. They were also very flexible with our constantly changing schedule of the military, we changed wedding dates 3 different times. Our day was so special thanks to Wilson’s Bittersweet Barn.

Troy, Colby, and Kara thank you so so much!!! We booked with this fantastic family in 2018 for a 2020 wedding. The amount of work and love this family has put into this venue is unbelievable! Every time we went to visit they would tell us about a new project and by the time we returned it would be finished! We loved the barn from the first say we visited!! The pandemic pushed us back another year and Troy Colby and Kara made sure to stay in touch with us while we re planned our big day!! The day of was absolutely amazing and we felt so comfortable!! I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I feel for having had the opportunity to celebrate our big day at Wilson’s Bittersweet Barn with our family and friends finally!

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day. It’s by far the most beautiful venue in the area, and Kara, Colby, and Troy go above and beyond to make it flawless! Kara is so knowledgeable about all aspects of planning the wedding and has an answer for just about everything. Definitely worth the money! The picture opportunities on the venue alone is worth the money!

We feel blessed to have had our son and daughter-in-law's wedding at the Bittersweet Barn last weekend. The venue was lovely inside and out. Our guests enjoyed the options of eating and dancing inside and making s'mores outside. The Starner family was committed to doing everything possible to make this day special for us. Working with Try and Cara was a pleasure. We highly recommend this venue.

We just had our daughter's wedding here last Saturday and it was fantastic. The barn was so beautiful, we didn't need to decorate much at all. The setting is so pretty and there is lots of room outdoors for kids to run and play. They also have a fire pit which is nicely done and a nice extra for people to use. Troy and Kara were so helpful with where things should go and how the day should progress and were on hand the whole day to help out. Also, the 3 day access was wonderful as well so we didn't feel rushed or pressured to get things done. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Troy, Kara, and Colby were amazing to work with. Even though COVID changed some plans, they kept in communication with us the whole way. Our guests gave rave reviews. The fire pit was definitely a favorite, and there is plenty of space to spread out during the night. My girls and I had full access of the bottom floor of the farmhouse to get ready, which was nice. I am so glad that we chose this venue. Highly recommend!

Troy, Kera, and Colby were an amazing family to work with. They are very down to earth people who really have a passion for what they do. That passion shines through in the amazing venue they have created. From the barn to the the amazing gardens every detail is perfect. This was the first and last venue we looked at. I was in love the second we pulled in!

This venue is absolutely beautiful! They are always adding beautiful scenery and extra features to their already amazing venue. The staff is amazing, they work vary hard to make sure everything goes as planned and your wedding day is everything you dreamed it would be and more.

This barn venue was everything we had hoped for and more. The amazing classy and elegant look inside with all the lights was breathtaking!!! The outside flowers/greens, and waterfall features were perfect for anyone who attended to take photos by. And when it got dark outside it became even more beautiful with all the lights outside. Just wow!!! 😍 Impressively gorgeous is the best way to describe this Barn venue. Troy and Kara were so helpful and welcoming! 😊 We had the whole bottom part of a house for my husband and I to get ready in, and it’s was very spacious and had exactly what we needed inside. We had many people young and older tell us that this was the most beautiful reception they’ve ever seen. Awwwww, that made our hearts soar! Definitely a venue I will continue to recommend to friends and family. Excellent place!!

The family was great to work with and truly helps in whatever way they can. Kara was great answering all my questions, and they help organize your wedding as little or as much as you like. They helped with the timeline (day before and day of wedding). They are your go to people day of wedding (they have you show your vendors the venue prior to wedding for better flow). The add advice you can take it if you wish but things typically run smoother if you do. The venue is beautiful and they continue to put more time and thought into making it a dream come true wedding venue. They have things to rent from them which is stress free because they have them ready to go for you. Once you agree to have your wedding there you get a folder with so much great information. There is a packet of vendors that they recommend, a timeline list and the rental items list. Everything is very well organized and Kara makes sure everything stays that way. There’s many places to get married at there, so many picture opportunities that you need to pick ahead of time or you will run out of time! They were very accommodating to what we wanted for our wedding and I can’t thank them enough for helping to make our special day run so smoothly!

We just had our wedding here 10-12-2019. The Starner’s are absolutely wonderful. Troy helped answer any questions I had on where to put things and gave me his opinions and different options and allowed me to create my wedding the exact way that I wanted. Colby and Kara were both there to answer questions and to help with set up to make everything perfect the day of. Kara was a saint with getting back to me about random questions I had up till our date. And she was just helpful all the way around. Which helped with any stress we had. The venue- absolutely breathtaking. If you want an rustic old barn that has been redone to be a beautiful unique wedding venue, then this is the place to go. There are 3 different places on the property for the ceremony site, the girls get the house to get ready in, and the guys have a grooms suite attached to the barn. The cocktail hour site is under the barn, and the reception area inside the barn is gorgeous. All the lights already make the barn beautiful that it almost doesn’t need any decorations. The list of preferred vendors Kara gives you is super helpful along with checklists month by month that needs to be done to keep you on track. They did a phenomenal job with everything and we are super pleased with how everything turned out to make our wedding exactly as we pictured it. Thank you again to Troy, kara and Colby! Wilson's Bittersweet Barn punches way higher than their affordable price would lead you to believe. Not only is the venue gorgeous but the owners Troy, Kara, and Colby add tons of value that far exceeds much more expensive venues. Not only did we have access to the venue for 14 hours the day of our wedding but we also had access for 3 additional days for setup, rehearsal, and tear down. Kara did loads of event planning and coordinating for us without additional charge. Colby and Troy did a great job helping setup the venue and have done an amazing job adding substantially more landscaping and features to the property each year. Kara also provided us with tons of information to assist in our planning and even on changing my fiances name after the wedding. I could go on and on but the long and short of it is these are good people who offer hands down one of the best venues in central PA and recommend some of the best vendors. I would strongly recommend this venue which offers far more value than any other venue we looked at.

We had the best experience with Wilson’s Bittersweet Barn as our Wedding venue! Troy, Kara and Colby were so kind, nice and responsive throughout the whole planning process- they made it so easy. They were extremely helpful with planning the day of timeline for our wedding, providing information we never would have thought of and giving us suggestions for special dances or things we could do throughout the evening. From helping transport guests with special needs, to making sure we were on schedule the day of to making sure all our vendors showed up and knew where to go- they did it all so we didn’t have to worry about it! They even provided decor items we could rent from them for a very reasonable price making setup and tear down much easier. We were able to setup a couple days early for our event which made planning the weekend of the wedding a breeze! The venue is truly beautiful and we had so many of our guests tell us we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place to get married. The barn is romantic on the inside with all the pretty lights and the outside is colorful and breath taking with all the amazing landscaping they have created. Our guests were able to enjoy the last hour of the night outside by the big fire pit. I can’t thank Troy, Kara and Colby enough for providing this amazing venue to make our day perfect!

Not only was this a breathtaking barn, but Kara and her family were incredibly organized, accommodating and welcoming. I was the maid of honor for the wedding and could not have been more pleased with the hospitality, not only on the day of the wedding, but both days before and after. We had our wedding here on September 7th and it went absolutely amazing! The owners are extremely helpful and amazing to work with. The venue is beautiful and plenty big enough. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

The Starners were so helpful in making our day so special. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was in place. Wilson's Bittersweet Barn is so beautiful and didn't require many additional decorations. The area for the bride to get ready was spacious and allowed everyone to get ready together despite having a large wedding party. Would highly recommend checking them out.

This family owned business makes you feel like family and your wedding effortless. The venue is beautiful and a perfect setup for all other vendors. There are multiple places to get married. They even built steps outside of the farmhouse in time for my sisters wedding so she could have the ceremony there. Having the farmhouse to get ready made the day simple for the bridal party. I highly recommend Wilson's Bittersweet Barn!

The service was well rounded. Beautiful venue. Colby, Troy, and Kara are all great people to work with that are truest looking out for the couples best interest, and they make the day of easier. Would highly recommend this venue for any wedding at 150 guests or less.

Crystal and I got married here yesterday, and it could not have gotten any better. The staff is all family and work extremely hard to be sure your day is perfect. This venue will for sure grow rapidly due to its outstanding service and kindness.

The one word I have for this place is Extravagant! Earl and I got married here yesterday, and wouldn’t have done one thing different! It is so beautiful! My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in this awesome place. The barn interior is an amazing setting for any special occasion and the outside is so beautifully landscaped with seasonal flowers and manicured lawn. The fish pond was a special touch which is why I chose that spot for guest photos. Troy, Kara and Colby are such special people who were great to work with and so caring they felt like family. I give this place a 5-star rating, but if there was a rating higher than that, they earned that too.

This was both our second marriage, in which our goal was to have a laid back celebration with family and friends. Thanks to the incredible Starner family, our day was just that! We looked at venues to host our wedding, but could not find any that fit our needs better than Wilson’s Bittersweet Barn. The Barn initially grabbed our attention with its natural beauty, location, and unique features. Then once the Starners welcomed us like old friends and shared how many different ways the property could be utilized, we both knew this was where we were going to get married!!! Some of the unique features that our friends commented upon included the historic brickwork, architecture, the memory wall within the reception area, the long harvest table, and the landscaping. We were so excited to use the outside for the ceremony, the bottom of the barn for happy hour, and the upstairs for the reception. Guests had the opportunity to wander around the premises- checking out the koi pond and fountain, taking their own pictures with all the beautiful landscaping, and play oversized yard games that we set up all over the place. Kara is always available to answer any questions throughout the planning process. Even more, all of the vendors spoke very highly of the family and venue when we told them where we were having our wedding. One of the things we really liked was not feeling rushed with setting up and cleaning up due to time constraints. This truly added a stress free fun vibe to this occasion!! Troy, Colby and Kara do their best to make your wedding day absolutely wonderful!! You will find all of them the morning of the event overlooking every little detail, from Kara directing caterers, DJs and other staff where and how to setup, Colby working on another project, to Troy pulling dead leaves off the plants around the barn to ensure every plant looks its best for you. Throughout the day, Kara continues to work with your staff to ensure that everything runs smoothly, while Troy and Colby are checking to see if anything is needed. They even attended to small, but important details such as providing transportation from the parking lot to the barn to accommodate those who might need any assistance. Without a doubt, Wilson’s Bittersweet Barn was the perfect place for our wedding.

The venue was amazing, my wife and I were very pleased with everything, our guests enjoy every moment of it. They did a great job with the landscape and were very helpful with everything we needed!

BEAUTIFUL Venue!!! Highly recommend for a wedding. We had ours 8/18 and everything was just perfect. Our guest couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was from the landscape, pond area, and barn , they have thought (and keep adding) of any way they can make it special for their brides/grooms and their guests. We can’t wait to get our pictures back!!! The bridal area was so nice to have, the ladies and I were able to really relax while we got hair and make up done.

The owners went out of their way to help us set up , keep the food filled , keep everything on time and do anything we wanted for the special day! I never would have made it through this day without them! They thought of everything!
