Windham Mountain

Windham Mountain delivered beyond all expectations! If you want an amazing wedding where you can have input on the details (food, signature drinks, timeline, seating arrangement, ceremony location, etc.) and be treated with the utmost respect and kindness, then this is your place! This was a destination wedding where all the guests traveled from out of town. We had 150 guests and did the station style dinner, which felt like a continuous cocktail hour. The food is top notch and guests were raving. The chef used local ingredients and you could taste the freshness. Make sure to inquire about the big hit at our reception - the potato bar!. We were encouraged to share our menu ideas and they executed everything on point. The Club Room has such a rustic and elegant feel that little to no decorations were needed. The ceremony was held on the premises and had to be moved into the breezeway last minute due to rain. The view was literally jaw dropping. Erika DeWitt, our wedding coordinator, was a dream come true! She was on top of everything from the initial phone inquiry to the clean up after the reception. We visited the site twice, which was great since we live three hours away. Erika was able to assist through phone calls and email very efficiently. The head chef, Jim Todaro, sat with us at our food tasting, which made us feel right at home. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw him slicing the filet at the reception for our guests! The staff on hand was top notch and guests enjoyed themselves as a result of the exceptional customer service and attention to detail. We chose most of our own vendors, but Windham has a list local vendors to choose from. We did silk flowers from home and made simple centerpieces for guests to take home. We highly recommend Dawn's Bakery in Cairo because a) we heard from many guests that it was the best tasting wedding cake ever; b) it was so affordable; and c) Dawn bakes with passion and love (you can tell)! Also, the local accommodations were amazing. We booked out the Winwood Inn for our wedding weekend and guests loved hanging out with each other on the grounds and at the on-site Mexican restaurant and bar. Stephanie and her staff at the Winwood Inn made sure all guests were taken care of. Some guests also chose to stay at the local B&B's because, why not? Windham offers an affordable shuttle bus for eight hours to all local accommodations, which are only a mile away. What's better than that? If you want a memorable wedding day with gorgeous views, delicious food, and a different vibe (than the typical weddings you attend) that guests will rave about for years to come, definitely check Windham Mountain out. We planned to get married on the mountain (and use the chairlifts to get there!), but the weather did not cooperate. Regardless, it was amazing! We felt we got more for our money getting married there rather than back at home in the cookie cutter catering halls. We look forward to going back to ski, to dine, and to remember our special day year after year!

We had planned to have a mountain top ceremony with the chairlift bringing all guests to the top. Well it didn't just rain Memorial Day weekend, there was some snow as well. The back up plan more than exceeded any expectations we had. The food at the legends lounge was amazing! All our 140 guests were satisfied with their meals and I have heard nothing but compliments about our day. I would recommend anyone getting married in the area consider Windham Mountain

Fantastic is just the beginning of what kind of day we had. From getting ready at the Winwood Inn and the service there was just faboulous. Windham Mountain was the perfect spot for our special day. I am a city girl and my husband is a country boy. The atmosphere of the Club incoporated both our styles. While planning the big day, the coordiantor Erica DeWitt was fantastic. She was always in contact and so helpful with all my crazy request. She was easy to work with and super friendly. Just a fantastic addition to our special day. Every aspect of my vision was brought to life that day and that was the most important thing to me as a bride. The only thing I could recommend to the staff at Windham mountain is their dress attire as they can be seen in photos and I did get some complaints that the food was cold but if thats all that they complained about throughtout the entire event I am completely satisfied with my experience. If you are looking for a lovely spot in the catskills to get married I highly recommend Windham Mountain and Erika DeWitt. Thanks again for making my day such a memorable one..Cant believe its over!!!

The food was delicious the view was absolutely beautiful the waitstaff were help and set up everything for us we were able to access the site 24/7 we were able to set up tables for 8 or 10 people which made seating charts a breeze the price was very reasonable.;The head wedding coordinator was a little flakey (she didn't show up for a couple of meetings that we had scheduled)- but working with the food manager was much better and she was extremely helpful. Other than that it was perfect!
