The Windmill House was an amazing venue! The grounds are beautiful, although the bridge could use a coat of paint and spiderweb dusting. I was able to camouflage that by draping some white sheer fabric over it, tied off with bows. It actually added a lot of ambiance and looked amazing.
The whole staff was very professional, courteous, and helpful. I also loved that the venue was ours, we didn’t have to worry about sharing it with another event on the same day.
Tony was very responsive and easy to work with and pretty accommodating throughout the whole planning process. I loved that I didn't have to have final numbers until just a couple of weeks before the event! Stephanie, the day of coordinator was AMAZING! Very helpful, super nice and very knowledgeable. She really had everything covered and was eager to help with any special needs/requests I had. The food tasted spectacular...although I didn't get to eat much of it.
The bridal chateau was awesome as well. A full 1-bedroom cottage for the whole bridal party to get ready in, hang out, and leave their personal item for the day.
Their pricing is pretty upfront which is nice. Not a lot of nickel and diming if you stick to the basics. However, anything additional adds to the cost which quickly starts to add up. (Examples would be like $225 to have the indoor fireplace lit (but so worth it), $4.75 surcharge per person for a premium entrée (prime rib/salmon), $5 per person for champagne toast, $8 per person for an additional entree, $295 to reserve the conference room as the Grooms Prep room.) Add-ons are to be expected but just remember to keep an eye on your budget. The only other things that weren't my favorite were;
1. I didn't like that you can't get on the property before 10am, which for the hands-on bride doesn't allow for a lot of time to decorate before having to start getting ready, so bring a lot of people to help it you don't hire someone to do it for you.
2. The event is only 6 hrs long, with $500 per hour after that. Had I known then what I know now I would have paid for a couple of extra hours. 6 hrs felt very rushed for a wedding, pictures, dinner, and dancing.
Everything said and done we LOVED The Windmill House, we got tons of compliments and had no regrets. I would HIGHLY recommend it for any occasion
This venue is absolutely perfect! We got so many compliments at our wedding on how beautiful it was. On top of that, Tony and Stephanie are incredible people to work with! Tony was able to be flexible with us on our budget and find a package that fit and he made sure we were happy throughout the whole process. Stephanie was immensely helpful on the day of the wedding! She’s so kind and you can tell she truly loves her job! She was there to help with anything we needed and made sure everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding! We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day, and The Windmill House is a major contributor to that! I have already recommended this venue with full confidence to friends who are getting engaged!

The Windmill House arose from the vision of Joe Cordovana, also known as JC. In the early 1970s, this Sicilian purchased the property that would later become the JC Ranch and the locale for the future venue. This site includes 160 acres of pastoral lands and 1900s windmills. In 2006, JC got to work on creating the private lake, the House, the cottage, and the lush landscaping. He continues to work on the property every day, proud to have founded a great North Arizona venue. The House’s location, reached by bridge, offers seclusion while at a convenient distance from all surrounding cities and towns.
The Windmill House is available to host wedding ceremonies and receptions as well as parties and luncheons. This venue’s staff will work with you to create the celebration you desire, with affordability in mind. These experienced event professionals understand the details that go into making festivities great and will guide you through the process.
