in. We met with Komal, who has an incredible knack for figuring out exactly what my fiancée wanted in a ring. For someone who might be a bit overwhelmed and particular about rings, Komal was able to quickly point us in the right direction. The most amazing part of Windy City is that their settings are completely customized. We conveyed the parts of all the settings we had already seen, and Komal sketched up a quick drawing while we talked. That sketch got sent it to a CAD designer, and we were able to see blueprints of the setting and make adjustments, then we were able to see a wax mold of the ring before it was cast in gold. The time between the wax mold and actually picking up the ring was less than two weeks. For something being completely made from scratch, this was amazing. We also got an fantastic price on the diamond itself, and Komal was very detailed about color, clarity and cut and what to look for in each, making sure to educate us on everything. The ring came out more beautiful than we ever could have hoped for, and Komal was helpful and communicative every single step of the way. We returned to Windy City to get our wedding bands created, and Komal knocked it out of the park again. She fielded every question and concern we had, and was able to again point us in the right direction with both of our bands. I highly suggest listening to her with open ears - she knows EXACTLY what she's doing and she knows exactly what you want, even if you don't seem to know yourself!

We worked with Denise who sat with us for over an hour looking at various rings and then coming up with a custom design based off of the one we liked. We were getting engaged back in my hometown and had a deadline for it to be done, and they were able to make that happen! Denise also gave us a tip-have the ring shipped to Pittsburgh rather than pick it up to save on tax! So we did that and the ring arrived the day we got to Pittsburgh! We had a long engagement so we weren’t back in Windy City until 2 years later to do our wedding bands. That was also a super easy process! They again custom made my band to match and my husband picked out his ring. As a wedding present for my mom, I wanted to get her a cross. Denise showed me a book of them and was able to get the cross for a lot less than what the book was saying! We absolutely LOVED Denise and the service we got from Windy City! Not only are they reasonable in their prices (they work within your budget), they are not salesy AT ALL! They are actually the complete opposite in that they are super honest in everything, from how a ring would look with a certain diamond or design or if a specific type of metal is good and will last; I asked about tungsten for my husband’s ring and she told us that most companies won’t honor their tungsten pieces because the metal is so brittle and breaks! When you’re looking for a piece of jewelry that will cost a lot, you definitely want people who are looking out for not only themselves but you as a customer as well. Surprise ruined. They never asked permission to use my photo for marketing purposes, and they obviously don't care about keeping any promises they made once the money is in the bank

I am a very symmetry oriented person, and I had grown to love some of the subtle geometries in my ring, and Garry took the time to understand those details. I had to leave my engagement ring for them to use to match the design of the new ring, and then shipped them both back to me in 2 weeks when the wedding band was finished. My rings arrived back. My engagement ring had been, free of charge, re-plated back to the white gold color. But the wedding band-disappointment. Some of the details that we talked about were not taken into account in the final product. I am also non-confrontational, and so I ended up just being sad about it until my now husband said I should call and see if there was anything they could do to fix the ring to be more like my expectations. I met again with Garry, who was actually shocked that my ring ended up how it did, since he remembered talking with me at length about the specific detail that ended up being wrong. He said that they could not change the current ring, but could make me a whole new replacement ring at no cost and ship it back to me at no cost! I couldn't believe how accommodating and nice he was about the situation. I did have to leave my engagement ring again for a second time though. Needless to say, Windy City really has amazing customer service and I am very pleased with the final wedding band. The price was amazingly reasonable. Knowing how much we had paid for my engagement band, and expecting some added cost from design, labor, and extra diamonds in the middle where my solitaire stone sits on the engagement ring, I went in with a price in my head of what Windy City would charge. The first price Garry quoted was less than what I had expected and actually exactly what I wanted to haggle down to as a final price based on my engagement band price! I really couldn’t believe it! I really appreciated the no-hassle price since I hate haggling. They also threw in an appraisal so that I could get my new jewelry insured as well. Great value!

I would recommend doing business here and look for Denise! Even though we didn't purchase my engagement ring with them, she cleaned my ring and offered me a cleaning cloth. I will take my rings back after the wedding to get the engagement ring and band engraved with them.

From determining the design and providing recommendations, he was really great to work with. He also seemed genuinely excited about our big day which made the process that much more exciting! Rick (one of the owners) also helped us through the process. He provided a level of expertise that really made us confident in the rings we selected. In addition, he was extremely flexible with us for where and when he could meet with us to discuss our rings; given both my wife and I had limited schedules. He truly went above and beyond the level of service we could have ever expected. Additionally, we had wanted some minor changes to my wife’s ring after it was completed, and sure enough they made the changes to exactly how we wanted the ring to look. Windy City Diamonds, including both Victor and Rick, really made the ring buying process special, and ultimately delivered an amazing product. I highly recommend their services!

We walked out of the store talking about how great they were and my friend said I should definitely go to them when it was time for my engagement. Like I said, my now husband already had that planned. I absolutely loved my enagement ring and creating my wedding band with Gary at WCD was a great experience. My engagement ring is round so we had to curve the wedding band around it. The original band Gary made for me seemed thicker than I wanted. I felt very comfortable telling him I wasn't 100% happy and he told me his goal is for me to love it so he continued to work on it. Once the updated band was ready, it was the perfect design. Windy City Diamonds has quality diamonds at great prices and they have the best service. Gary is an absolute "gem" and we now call him our jeweler! Ha ha. Any time we need diamonds we will be making a trip to see Gary at Windy City Diamonds.
