The history of Windy River Farm goes back over a century. The post-beam barn dates from the farm's early history and was lovingly restored by the owners, Marion and William Powell. This duo has watched many historic buildings that give Vermont its character fall into ruin, so refurbishing the barn was as much for them as it was for the state's heritage. Meadows and the gentle flow of the Missisquoi River surround Windy River Farm. The site also affords you and your loved ones spectacular views of Jay Peak in the distance. You can appreciate these sights from the spacious deck that is attached to the barn. Then, upon entering the structure, you are greeted by lofty ceilings and the wood interiors of the barn itself. To take this historic and rustic building up a notch, the barn possesses massive chandeliers that would otherwise be found in the halls of a French chateau. Overall, the spaces are sophisticated yet understated and give you a blank canvas for your special day. For the comfort and convenience of guests, there are bathrooms and rooms for the couple.
