He brought quite a few staff workers and they were all polite and worked very hard. The price was reasonable compared to other quotes I got from caterers in the Bay Area. He also handled all the rentals - although, I would recommend doing this yourself because of how hard to communicate with and disorganized he is. CONS: Don made this an extremely stressful process, to the point where I questioned if he would even show up to my wedding several times. We first communicated in March and I booked him for our October 2nd wedding. After not hearing from him since March, I reached out to him on Sept 5 to make sure we were still scheduled and to ask some questions. He didn't answer my questions until Sept 20 (less than 2 weeks before the wedding) after I sent him multiple reminders. We did a venue walk-through the week before the wedding and he showed up 30 mins late, and spent a good portion of our time talking about conspiracy theories and personal family issues. Because he organized the rentals, I asked him to give the rental company my phone number to let us know what time they were delivering everything. He didn't, and they showed up super early in the morning and I had to rush to the venue to show them where to deliver everything. On the day of the wedding, he appeared to be very frantic and stressed. He was rude to several people at the wedding including my father, thought my husband was his waitstaff, and was very dismissive towards me and ignored me several times when I asked him if it was a good time to cut the cake. They spilled grease in the gravel driveway of the property, and spilled coffee and coffee grounds in the garage and tried to hide it. I would not recommend using WCA Catering for your wedding. Ultimately, I give 2 stars because he did show up, and the food was good. However, it wasn't worth the added stress and uncertainty that he caused, and I would not work with him again. He does have many other positive reviews, so it's possible I had a one-off bad experience, but wanted to share my perspective for future brides that may be considering working with him.
