With Wingate Place, we got all of this well within our budget AND with the added benefit of Sarah (venue manager and wedding planner herself) and all the features that she and her family installed on-site to make the venue wedding ready (uplighing on oak trees, bridal & groom suites, restrooms, electric hookups every where you need, hidden parking, etc.). We were a little hesitant that we were too small of a group to fill out the space (57 people), but it did not feel like that day of! Not only was it the most beautiful setting, but working with Sarah was so easy and we felt rest-assured that the wedding day would go off without a hitch under her supervision. 10/10 would recommend to anyone! Thank you Sarah and everyone at Wingate Place!

quick turnarounds. There is a big tent where you can hold a dance floor with a beautiful garden of trees next to it. The bathrooms were also really well kept. There's a nice house for the bride to get ready with her party.

She was always so professional and responsive while simultaneously coordinating with our other vendors to make things run as smoothly as possible. One thing that helped a lot was using Durham school services to bus our guests to the site since it's a good drive from downtown Charleston (and way more affordable than other rental buses although less glamorous). I am so happy we chose this venue! It was great that we could have the wedding ceremony by the pond under the oak and the reception on the same site under the tent! Compared to other plantation-type wedding venues in Charleston this one is equally as wonderful but way more affordable! I highly recommend Wingate Plantation! We enjoyed working with Sarah and our time there to the fullest!

Being able to spend the morning in the house with all my favorite gals before the ceremony was one of my favorite memories from the whole day! Sarah also was our day of coordinator for wedding. She brought every single vision and dream I had for the wedding to life and for that, I am forever grateful. Sarah was on site all day setting up décor and working with vendors, all while keeping everyone on schedule and tackling any issues that arose. I could not have done this process without her. She truly ensured the day was perfect and she did a flawless job. I would recommend Sarah and Wingate Plantation to EVERYONE. I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding day given the chance. he and her team could offer as well as suggestions. We were offered the option to host our rehearsal the night before, as well as utilize the grounds for engagement photos. We were also offered a 10% military discount, which is very rare in Charleston from venues and vendors alike. Upon arriving wedding morning, the site was just as she had described (sprayed for bugs, clean, supplies stocked) and she was there the entire day. She lent us her office space in the farmhouse for our hair and makeup team to get to work. Sarah was integral in the set-up of the grounds, and though we did not use her services for day-of planning, she jumped in to help all day long. She was there throughout the night making sure everything was going smoothly during and after our event from the rental breakdown to communicating items left behind to double check if we needed them. Our friends and family from Michigan were truly treated to a unique southern experience thanks to Sarah and her family property at Wingate Plantation. I wish we could do it all over again to experience the pure outdoor beauty.

She kept everyone in line while remaining friendly and easygoing throughout the whole event. She is very good at what she does, and I'd recommend using her planning services if you go with this venue. I'm so happy we chose Wingate for our wedding day!

bsolutely the best! She was so responsive, helpful and professional. Everything from the first phone call to the wedding day exceeded our expectations. We received compliments from all of our vendors about how professional and organized Sarah is. The venue, itself, is absolutely breathtaking!! It is perfect if you want the same location for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. All of our guests could not say enough about the location. We are so incredibly grateful to Sarah and that we had our wedding at Wingate Plantation. Everything was perfect and Sarah helped us make our wedding everything we wanted.
