Winridge Manor is an enchanting wedding venue located just outside of Lynchburg, Virginia. Tucked away in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it is the perfect location to begin your wonderful marriage journey.
Constructed at the start of the 20th century in 1910, Winridge Manor was designed in the Southern Greek Revival style, by the owner of the Piedmont Motor Company.
The elegant manor house boasts stunning white pillars and fantastic views of the property, and you can stay onsite for an unforgettable wedding weekend.
For your ceremony, you'll have your choice of several unique settings. Tie the knot under a Grecian arbor in the lush manicured gardens, or exchange vows with breathtaking vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Then, celebrate the night away under the stars on the expansive lawn; the venue has a guest capacity of 150, with tenting options available for larger affairs with more guests.
The experienced team will work with you closely throughout the planning process to ensure you have everything you need for a seamless wedding day. You'll have an onsite wedding coordinator to help you achieve your dream vision for the special day, tailoring every detail to match your theme. This skilled events crew has hosted hundreds of weddings and will guide you through the planning process with their expertise. You're welcome to bring in your outside vendors or choose from the venue's recommended list of the region's premier vendors. e had questions, flexible with meetings leading up to the day, and organized the wedding day timeline beautifully. She is very flexible with vendors which makes this venue great if you’re working within a budget. The package does get pricey as you have to factor in tip for Racine and her other staff that work the venue, but overall, I believe it was well worth the money. The staff were so kind and helpful setting up my decor and with their service throughout the day. Myself, my family, and bridal party were able to relax on the day as the staff truly had everything taken care of. I am shocked more people in the area do not know about this venue! could not return these items as they were personalized. I asked my MOH about this and she said she was told it would be "too busy" to use these items by the venue coordinator. I was never asked or consulted on the issue. I originally went to the venue due to the all-inclusive package being advertised for a certain price. I felt nickeled and dimed through the whole process as well as largely unsupported. I was required to make a seating chart that took hours of my time. I had booked an "all-inclusive" package but ended up doing a lot of work myself which I was trying to avoid.

journey and made planning so seamless! Not only was she extremely attentive but she had fantastic recommendations and relationships with all the vendors. It was like one big family! In fact, my daughter wanted to spend more time with the photographer, Amanda Harvell from Cattura Tempo than my wedding party! The venue itself was stunning and charming. The décor was all locally acquired and really embraces the era and design of the manor. The exterior is just as great! We really loved the koi pond and lit gazebo. We were able to take advantage of the swinging chairs and bonfire following the wedding. It was a nice intimate setting for family and friends to connect. The view from the rear balcony was incredible! The neighboring horses were roaming right before the ceremony and everything felt so peaceful and perfect. The breakfast was also wonderful! She was so in tune with all of our needs and vendors and went out of her way to make our experience smooth and perfect. The venue photographed perfectly and their team of vendors is top-notch! tify the issue. I have seen others leverage the contract signature as the means to negotiate. Thus, they are only interested in working with you on your personal needs until you sign. I was very impressed with the number of locations on the property to host my weekend wedding events. They work very hard to exceed expectations and keep their venue on the map. All of my wedding party loved the breakfasts and the rooms. They were so inviting.
The only drawback is because Kelly and John wear so many hats, it can be difficult to align schedules for personal time. I think for some of the minor issues I ran into they could have been addressed with more personal time, especially since we were from out of the area. That being said, knowing this upfront new couples can easily manage this by discussing their needs up front with the owners. I highly recommend this venue.

ugh to clean up, Kelly and John felt like they where 100% there for us no matter what. Their slogan, "your day, your way," is exemplified in their professionalism, sense of care, and the pride they take in their work. On top of this the value for money you will get from this venue is unbeatable. My wife and I viewed a lot of locations in the area, all the way into Bedford, and the amount you will get from this breathtaking venue is worth every penny. My advise is visit Winridge, fall in love with it like we did, and then marry the love of your life there.

t at the manor was not an enjoyable experience. I'm leaving this review because I want to provide important feedback that I feel if it isn't corrected or handled differently in the future will definitely affect your business.
A few guests, myself included had small children with us over the weekend. Small children wake up early, and some small children don't climb steps very well, my son for example sounds like he is stomping when he is just trying to get down the steps. It is incredibly rude to tell your guests to keep their children quiet because your adult son is still sleeping upstairs (on the same floor as the guests). This happened at about 8 AM our first morning there.
It's extremely rude to basically snatch glasses out of your guests hands the night of the rehearsal dinner because there aren't enough clean for the next night.
There were many other instances throughout the weekend where I felt like the guests staying at the manor were treated rudely, but I feel like this post is lengthy enough as it is.
I hope this criticism is taken to heart and that mostly John learns how to better treat guests. If you aren't prepared to take a large wedding party and all the unexpected things that can happen then you might want to rethink your business ventures, or at least learn how to communicate with people.

They pay attention to every little detail and are frequently checking to see if there is anything else they can do. We had our rain plan in place since the forecast was calling for rain but they both knew that we really wanted the ceremony outside. Kelly came to me, said the radar looks clear, and asked if we wanted everything moved back outside. As soon as I said yes, she and John helped to make sure everything was moved back outside and set up perfectly. Winridge Manor has gorgeous gardens, a beautiful water garden with colorful Koi, an incredible colonial house that also serves as a wonderful Bed & Breakfast, all with the Blue Ridge Mountains as the backdrop. Their new pavilion is incredibly beautiful with chandeliers and chiffon. So many of our guests had so many compliments about the entire weekend and specifically Winridge Manor. We all had such an amazing time and our wedding day was so much fun.
If you are looking for a gorgeous outdoor wedding, we absolutely recommend Winridge Manor!
