Overall, our wedding was truly magical, and we absolutely loved getting married at Winter Park. That said, I think future couples should understand what they are actually getting f...
or the price they pay.
Winter Park charges full wedding venue pricing, including a $9,000 site fee for Sunspot Lodge ($7,500 for Lunch Rock), but you do not have access to the venue all day like you would at a traditional wedding venue. Yes, we knew this when we signed our contract, but after comparing what other venues offer, the $9,000 site fee became difficult for us to understand. This is the rental/site fee alone and does not include food or beverages, and the contract does not clearly explain what the fee specifically covers. The venue is also fully open to the public until 5 PM.
Unfortunately, we had a particularly upsetting experience with public access right before our wedding. When we booked, we were told the public area would close at 4 PM. That was later changed to 5 PM without us being notified. Then, just TWO days before our wedding, we learned there would be a public mountain biking race starting around 4 PM near our wedding area, and the gondola would remain open to the public until 7 PM. Our ceremony was at 5 PM.
What was especially frustrating was that we only learned about the bike race because our videographers told us. Winter Park and our wedding sales manager never informed us. Had our videographers not mentioned it, we could have arrived on our wedding day completely unaware that a public race was taking place near our ceremony. This had me in tears and extremely stressed during the week of my wedding, and I do not think any couple should have to deal with that days before their wedding.
Thankfully, our wedding still turned out beautifully, and we genuinely loved the location. However, that was largely because of how much time, planning, and effort we personally put into the day.
We had 160 guests, including ourselves, and spent approximately $36,000 on the site fee, food, and drinks alone. That is a significant investment, and at that price, I expected more transparency, communication, and consideration regarding our wedding and when we would actually have the space to ourselves.
The service from the staff was excellent and the food was quite good, so there were definitely positives. However, couples should understand that their wedding can take a back seat to the resort's normal operations, even with a large wedding and significant spending.
Post-wedding, I am very happy with how everything turned out and grateful for the beautiful setting and memories we made. However, I still do not feel the surprise bike race was handled appropriately, especially considering we were charged the full price.
Winter Park is an incredible setting for a wedding, but I strongly encourage couples to carefully consider their budget and how much access and exclusivity they want. Many traditional venues offer all-day access, getting-ready space, setup time, and private use of the property for their rental fee. Paying $9,000 for a building for approximately 5.5 hours of access feels extremely steep by comparison.
We had our wedding at Lunch Rock at Winter Park and could not be happier with how everything turned out. We had the most amazing wedding day and weekend with all of our friends an...
d family. The venue at Lunch Rock was beautiful and it felt so special to have the amazing backdrop of the mountains for our day. It was also such a fun experience taking the gondola up to the ceremony/reception. The team at Winter Park was also great to work with. Leading up to our wedding day, Morgan was really helpful and easy to communicate with. On the day of our wedding the staff at the venue were wonderful and were really friendly and helpful throughout the day. We also got so many compliments from our guests that our wedding had some of the best food they’ve ever had at weddings. Additionally, the majority of our guests were coming from out of state and having everyone able to book lodging right at the base made the whole weekend so fun and easy. Just walking around we were constantly running into our friends and family so it felt like we got to see people for more than just our wedding day. Our guests also took advantage of all the other fun activities available whether that was the alpine slide or mini-golf or mountain biking as well as the other restaurants available at the base. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and farewell brunch at restaurants at the base through Winter Park which made the whole process so easy that everything was in one spot and we only needed to coordinate with one team. Winter Park was the perfect location for our wedding and it feels like everything could not have been more perfect.
Morgan was an extreme pleasure to work with for our wedding ceremony. We just did our ceremony here and our guests were in AWE of the wedding venue site and we got to say our I do'...
s in a place that means so much to us (as life long Winter Park skiers). The ceremony space was so beautiful and Morgan and her team were so accommodating for all of our guests, including guests who are in wheelchairs and needed assistance getting to our ceremony site. We were able to take our pictures before the ceremony and we loved our they turned out because of the amazing backdrop of the area. Morgan was truly such an amazing partner in the whole planning process and we felt very heard and respected by her. She was so helpful the day before and day of our wedding too. We felt like we did not have anything to worry about during the day of the wedding because Morgan took care of everything! The gondola experience was also so fun our our guests (even the ones who have never been on one!).
Ellen and her crew were fabulous. The food and service were impeccable. The venue itself was gorgeous. The View !!!!! No words can describe it. Breathtaking!
The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the bar tenders and wait staff were awesome. The year leading up to the wedding working with the wedding coordinator to plan ever...
ything was terrible and extremely frustrating. Seems like they’re used to getting everything finalized very last minute (like a day or two before the ceremony finalizing all details). For example, I was told two weeks before the wedding that all guests had to be at the gondola at a certain time in order to be transported up the mountain. There were numerous questions and emails that they ignored of mine. It was very very frustrating working with them. Not sure I would book with them again if I knew in the beginning how much of a headache and stress it would’ve caused me. However, gorgeous venue. I hope they figure out their wedding coordinator issues.
Wedding venue was beautiful and our day was perfect! Staff was friendly and were always accommodating of our needs to ensure our wedding day was special.
I cannot, however, give th...
e venue itself and Winter Park Resort Management/Lodge at Sunspot a full 5 stars (more like 3-3.5 stars). When we booked the venue a year+ before our wedding, we were never informed of the construction that would be happening during the time of our wedding and throughout the summer (all summer weddings were affected)...big resorts like that have those types of events planned for years! We probably would NOT have chosen the venue, given the mass construction site on that was anticipated to happen on the top of the mountain. Weddings are not cheap, especially mountain venues, so it is unfortunate we did not get the venue we initially thought we booked and that Winter Park wasn't upfront and transparent with us about construction timelines. Future Bride and Grooms, I would highly recommend getting as many details as possible for construction schedules with the resort, and other wedding venues for that matter. The venue faced the beautiful mountain views if you looked in one direction, but unfortunately we did not get the full 360 view we had originally booked due to construction of the new gondola. Additionally, the service road (for those that did not want to take the chair lift) could have also used more grooming, especially as that became the only route option getting back down the mountain. We initially booked the venue with the understanding that the gondola would be used for transportation to the top and back. We were told of the construction and chairlift that needed to be taken only 7 months before our wedding date. We had many elderly people that took the service road (instead of chair lift they allowed us for as an alternative route to the top) and it may have been even worse and a harder shock on their bodies.
Winter Park is always beautiful and our wedding day was special because it was our wedding day shared with family and friends...but the Lodge at Sunspot venue wasn't quite the view we had envisioned for our special day. The simple fix for these issues is for resorts to be informative to their clients about construction schedules and potential wedding day interruptions. But therein lies the issue: they don't want the risk of losing clients money (we might have not booked) if they provide all information.
Thank you very much Winter Park/Lodge at Sunspot Wedding Event staff (Kaia & Ellen) and dining services (Jesse & Team)! You all were wonderful.
Winter Park Resort Management, I hope you are intentional and truly evaluate customer feedback to ensure that future Bride and Grooms are provided with thorough information and details before they book with you.
Couldn't have asked for a better place to have our wedding! Emily and the team at Winter Park exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was excellent and the setting was bea...
utiful. When a surprise snow occurred as the wedding was supposed to begin, Emily and her team did everything they could to ensure it was still a beautiful and memorable event, and it the snow actually made the outdoor ceremony all the more fun and memorable. Can't recommend Winter Park enough for the perfect wedding!
Winter Park was a gorgeous place for our wedding. The wedding coordinators were really great to work with, the food was delicious, the location breathtaking. Guests loved riding up...
the chair lift and loved the food and the venue. Highly recommend!
Loved everything about this venue and location!!

e lifts were shut down (would prepare for backup in case to set up), but the afternoon/evening turned out with perfect weather. The service was outstanding even our guests commented that they were well taken care of at the wedding and during their entire stay at the resort. We had the choice to choose between the Lodge across the street, and the Resort and chose the Resort because of how great Emily (the coordinator) was. The Resort always exceeds our expectations on quality, and this was no exception. Thank you everyone for the best day, and we cant wait to visit it yearly!
We had a wonderful time at the Winter Park Resort. I would highly recommend it to anyone! All of her guests got to take the ski lift up to the sunspot lodge where we had our ce...
remony out on the deck and a delicious dinner and dancing inside! Our guests were impressed with everything from the setting, service, dinner and overall experience. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Emily, our wedding planner, was helpful every step of the way, and made sure everything went smoothly from the moment we checked in until the day we checked out! I can't wait to visit again!
We couldn't have been happier with the location and the wedding staff ! We received a lot of compliments from guests saying how good the food was (try their in-house desserts!!) an...
d how beautiful the venue was with the wooden beams, large windows and views of the mountains and the sunset. Some even said it was the most fun wedding they had been too with the chairlift ride up and mountain top ceremony. A special thank you to Emily as she made the process so easy for us. Every time we talked to Emily we felt better and we knew we were in good hands. She did so much more than just coordinate the day of. She has an unwavering upbeat attitude that helped us stay calm (which is priceless!). Jesse was amazing too and was so pleasant to work with, what an amazing team! We would pick Sunspot and the wedding team again in a heartbeat, no question.
From day one I decided to do the majority of the planning myself, and to hire a day of coordinator to execute on our wedding day. Winter Park Resort seemed to be a dream come true,...
then, when we heard that the wonderful Emily Jackson was not only the sales manager for events, but also takes over day of coordination on the big day. Emily's wealth of experience, helpful advice throughout and calm, "say yes" approach to all questions/concerns/thoughts/new decorating ideas, put me so at ease from day one and I couldn't be more grateful to her. During our venue search she was the only person that replied to our inquiry and follow up questions quickly, had great energy during our site tour, and seemed genuinely pleased to meet us and to want to help our vision come to life. Not only that, but she helped us plan our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, AND day after breakfast. As for the venue itself, the Lodge at Sunspot is above and beyond what we could have imagined. We wanted to be on-mountain, at an "all in one" venue: nothing to build from the ground up, hotels within walking distance to everything, and amenities galore. Plus, the Resort is a very "Colorado" experience and perfectly showcased our home state to our family and friends - riding the chairlift with my father, in my wedding dress, was a highlight I won't soon forget.
They say dreams don't come true, but mind did on August 5, 2017 at Winter Park Ski Resort. I am an out of state bride (New Jersey) and wanted a mountain destination wedding. Winter...
Park Ski Resort had everything that we wanted.
The best part of this venue is that it comes with Emily Jackson, their amazing wedding coordinator. Whether an in or out of state bride, Emily will make wedding planning stress free. She was easily reached by email and always answered all of my questions and eased any of my concerns. I was worried about the weather but Emily always had a plan and kept me updated. I can not say enough great things about her. SHE IS AMAZING AT HER JOB!
All of my guests commented that it was an absolutely beautiful ceremony and they could not get over the views. You can not go wrong with this venue!!!

y single person there was a pleasure to work with and be around, and they truly helped to make our day perfect. Not to mention, the sky at 10,000 feet on top of the Rocky Mountains is absolutely breathtaking. Our wedding guests are still talking about the sunset months later....if you love the mountains, Winter Park is an unforgettable wedding venue. :)
We had our wedding at the Lodge at Sunspot on 9/2/17. It was a perfect venue with great staff. Emily was amazing and helped us plan a great wedding. Would highly recommend both her...

We had the perfect wedding at winter park! Emily and her staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating from planning, the rehearsal and the wedding day. Eveything went smoothly. ...
The bridal suite was the perfect place to get ready. The vendors that emily recommended were great and most had discounted travel fees. We never felt like we were one of many instead we always felt like they knew us. This was the perfect place for our perfect day!

up early to hang out around the resort together. We had our wedding and reception at the Lodge at Sunspot. It's gorgeous and taking the lift up to a wedding was so fun for our guests (we've been told!). The views from the reception hall are fantastic and the night was beautiful. The food and drinks were both great and we had such a fun party. The staff at WP takes great care of you. Emily and her team are dedicated to the bridal parties day of, which helps to eliminate stress. The bridal suite is HUGE and was such a fun/comfortable place for the ladies to get ready. They served lunch, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. There is not a designated spot for the guys to get ready in, but my husband and his friends got ready in our condo, which was just steps to the ski lift. It worked out just fine. I would do it all over again and would choose WP every time. It's truly a wedding adventure!
My wedding day was perfect! Winter Park Resort is such a beautiful place to get married. I could not imaging getting married anywhere else. I was completely calm on my wedding day ...
thanks to Emily. Emily is the wedding coordinator at the Resort, and She took care of every last detail. Her bubbly energy and take charge attitude will make your experience too notch. Also, my bridal party loved going down the Alpine slide. I would definitely recommend getting married here.
Our guests are still raving about our picture perfect destination wedding at Winter Park Resort. Emily Jackson could not have made the week any smoother or relaxing for all of us. ...
She was incredibly helpful and responsive during the planning process thousands of miles apart. The big day went better than we could have hoped thanks to Emily's preparation, flexibility and nothing short of magic. The entire staff coordinating gondolas, preparing and serving DELICIOUS food, as well as overseeing accommodations for our guests were all top notch. If you are looking to elevate your wedding to the next level, the views atop Sunspot and entertaining Village at the base won't disappoint! Thanks again to Emily and her entire staff at WP for all the wonderful memories. We look forward to many anniversary trips to come!
This was truly our dream wedding and Emily made it happen! We had a lot of special requests and Emily made it work. She was quick and responsive and really made us feel important....
This venue is gorgeous and the views were amazing! It makes it easy on your budget for decor because you really don't need much. We had a fall wedding and the weather was gorgeous with all the fall colors our guests from out of town could not believe how beautiful everything turned out! Thanks for everything Sunspot and Emily Jackson! :)

o provide world-class service, not to mention the tastiest wedding dinner I have ever had. Her decisiveness was AMAZING on the big day when all the rest of us were crazy with excitement! Not only was Sunspot gorgeous, but watching my family members young and old explore WP village conveniently on foot, and ride the ski lift up to the venue was priceless. We were so happy to share a favorite mountain spot with our flatlander families!! I can't provide a high enough recommendation for Emily and Sunspot at WP. :)
We just had our wedding in Winter Park this August and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Emily and Kendall were fantastic throughout the whole process and the day ...
of we didn't have to worry about a thing, from coordinating all of the vendors to setting up our place cards and dessert tables, and not to mention dealing with some ridiculous questions from my parents along the way.
The whole day went off without a hitch and our guests cannot stop raving about the views and how delicious the food was. We had looked at some other mountain venues but I don't think many can compare to Winter Park, it was well worth it!
We absolutely loved our wedding in Winter Park! Emily (the event coordinator at this venue) is really the game changer when we compared different venues. She basically acted as my ...
wedding coordinator since I was coordinating the wedding from Denver. The weather turned out beautiful, except for being slightly on the cool side (end of August). The bar staff had drinks waiting for our guests as they entered the cocktail area (the best surprise!); the wait staff was overall good except we did have to wait for about 10 minutes to get our first drink.
The steak and chicken duo option was delicious -- we got great reviews from friends. The vegetarian option was an enormous butternut squash (too much squash IMO) with some risotto/mushroom mix; I heard it was OK. The WP staff helped tear down our items at the end of the night, and were very gracious when we picked up our items later the next day after my dad forgot to get them!
My husband was disappointed by the quality of the comped room for our honeymoon night. It's supposed to be a free room and we were expecting something nice with a large bathtub or something, but it was the least nice room that I've seen in the whole hotel. The pillows were terrible making it difficult to sleep well. We wished we could've kept our original room the night before the wedding and paid for it ourselves.
Besides a few of the things mentioned, overall we loved the resort and would highly recommend Emily and her team!
Amazing Venue that made our Rustic-Romantical dreams come to fruition! If you live the adventure lifestyle and want every one in your wedding to do the same, then Winter Park Resor...
t is the ONE! My husband and I couldn't be any more ecstatic over our adventure WP wedding and we thank the gracious staff at our night prior meet and eat, ceremony and reception, the morning after brunch and of course a super kudo's to the now Mrs. Emily for all that had been done for us! ;-)

ood. It was so easy to have everything all in once place, including the ceremony, the reception, the after party, and the lodging. Everyone was well taken care of and we heard nothing but good reviews from guests. Everything went off without a hitch because of the great staff, including Emily, Kendall, and Jesse. They were there to answer every question and offer help every step of the way throughout the entire planning process and through the entire event. We would definitely recommend booking Winter Park to anyone looking into the venue. You will not be disappointed!
Winter Park Resort was an excellent place to get married! It was a destination wedding of sorts, as both of our families came from the midwest. Everyone was extremely happy about t...
he accommodations and resort in general. The Lodge at Sunspot blew everyone away! Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing were all in the same location which made things really easy! Our guests are still raving about the food. "Best wedding food ever!". We felt very taken care of by the staff at Sunspot. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a uniquely Colorado wedding!
Winter Park Resort was an excellent wedding venue!
We got married at The Lodge at Sunspot, the ski lodge at the top of the mountain. The ceremony was on a beautiful wooden deck ad...
jacent to the lodge, and the reception was inside the lodge, which is wooden with three walls of large windows overlooking the mountains. Guests ride the chairlift up; the venue then loads 4 person gondola cars for the ride down. There are only 5 gondola cars in a row, so if all guests are leaving at the same time, only 20 can ride down per 5-10 minutes. There is also a bus, but it is less scenic.
The food was excellent, and the venue accommodated a twist on their traditional menu to cater an entirely vegetarian meal. There are a number of restaurants in the ski village willing to do rehearsal dinners or brunches. The resort also rents out spaces if you want to organize your own or caters if you prefer to have it all done by the resort.
This was an out of town wedding, but was very easy to plan with the wedding coordinators at the resort. I would recommend Kendall if you have a choice! I had a bridal suite to get ready in with my bridal party and family and the resort took care of setting up all of the decorations I brought. It was amazing to show up to the venue already looking beautiful!
A late September wedding was wonderful. Most days were 55 and sunny, and the aspen trees were all bright yellow. That said, it did snow during our wedding ceremony, so weather can be unpredictable. The resort also has an alpine slide and an amazing mountain bike park, but both close for the season at some point, so I would check with the resort to make sure they are open for a fall wedding.
The only thing that was not communicated well to me prior to arrival was that the Vintage Hotel (quite affordable) is ~0.5 miles away from the chairlift and main resort village. During the day, guests can ride a mini-gondola down to the village, but after the ceremony, many of my guests ended up walking home in the dark. We stayed in the Zephyr Lodge, which was right in the middle of everything and had a kitchen, living room, and a great view. I would suggest the Zephyr Lodge for guests even though it is slightly more expensive.
In all, I would choose Winter Park Resort for my wedding 100 times over if I were planning it again. We will always remember our day fondly and will return to ski and mountain bike in the future!
Our Mary Jane wedding was beyond our dreams come true. From the beginning, Emily was so easy to work with and helped us create a dream wedding from scratch at the Mary Jane base. S...
he responded to every request with "yes", helping us pull of our non-traditional wedding. We had 80 guests from all over the world fly in for our wedding and many said this was the most beautiful and fun wedding they had ever attended. Considering we got married at Winter Park resort, the total cost including our venue fee was very reasonable. Emily made the entire wedding planning process fun, and it never felt stressful. I trusted her and Kendall to implement our vision, and it truly was more than I could have imagined. The food was amazing, dinner and bar service was top-notch, and the night unfolded seamlessly--and I have these 2 to thank for making it happen. Having our guests all stay at the Winter Park base (great accommodations!) made the event very convenient, and it just felt like a giant family vacation! I was nervous to pull of a non-traditional Mary Jane wedding, especially with requests that could have easily gone wrong...top-of-the-mountain first look arrangements, self-serve gelato station, dancing under the stars on a mountain in September, and a first dance around a bonfire with sparklers.... but looking back, I would not have had it any other way and these 2 really made magic happen! Thanks so much Emily and Kendall. -- Kalyn & Grant
Winter Park Resort was an Amazing Place to have a wedding. It was so beautiful! Just know that this is it, this is THE Place. Winter Park was awesome! All our guests were floored ...
and everything went very smoothly. Our wedding, pictures, video were all beautiful. The Food was AWESOME!!! Emily is THE BOMB. She is so helpful, has great ideas, answers all your questions and is so professional. She is a breath of fresh air, and always there to help. She's so on top of it. I am so glad we chose this as our venue, could not have been better!

st detail covered. My husband and I were not stressed at all on our wedding day, because Emily had everything under control. Jesse and the staff at Sunspot where amazing. Very professional. They were wonderful with all of our guests, giving special attention to the kids that were there. Winter Park and the Sunspot were absolutely gorgeous. Emily, Jesse and the Winter Park staff truly made our day special.

odations, service, and the list goes on. The food at our wedding was even better than when we tried it at our tasting. Our guests raved about how good the food was! Service was on top of their game! Every time I turned around needing something there was someone available. Accommodations seemed to run very smoothly. Most of our guest stayed right at the resort and had no issue booking and loved that everything was right there at the base. The discount given for wedding guest for the activities going on was a huge hit as well.
Again I want to Thank Emily for all of her help as I'm sure all of our emails and calls leading up to the wedding got to be a little much! She always was more than happy to help and answer all of our questions.
We recommend Winter Park Resort to anyone looking to get married in the area, you won't be disappointed.
I didn't expect to enjoy my wedding but, somehow, my wedding day exceeded every expectation and not only did I have fun, it has become a treasured memory in a way I thought must si...
mply be hollywood cliche. Much of that credit goes to Winter Park (Emily and Kendall, specifically), which provided a meaningful and unique venue.
Mary Jane has always been an important place for us. After we recovered from the shock of losing the old treasured Lunch Rock, we marveled at our luck that we'd be able to get married there with the new facility at the top of Mary Jane. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The views were stunning, the new Lunch Rock's architecture was perfect, and the Winter Park team did such a fantastic job that our guests never guessed it was the resort's first wedding at that facility. The bridal suite was A++++, the accommodations they arranged for us at the Zephyr were perfect (before arriving a few days before our wedding, we didn't even realize the huge benefits of having a condo with a kitchen and balcony; it gave us the luxury to host friends or stay in), and to was great to work with Emily and Kendall (who also ended up helping us out with a welcome party for our guests the night before!). It was a perfect day for us and a wonderful taste of Colorado for our out-of state friends and family.
A quick side note: even though we're Colorado natives, we live in DC so we also hired a coordinator to help with correspondence and logistics, which I'd recommend to any out-of state bride.
Emily (weddinh coordinator) is absolutely wonderful! Her friendliness and professionalism are unparalleled. She was on top of everything and made sure the entire affair went per...
fectly. The food was amazing, the accommodations were perfect, and we could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding! Hands down this is one amazing venue!
We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding. From the very first time we met Emily Jackson and toured the Lodge at Sunspot we knew it was the perfect place for us. ...
Emily was so fun to work with and was always on top of things while also allowing the flexibility to make the ceremony and reception unique to us. She was always very responsive to my millions of questions and provided support and reassurance throughout the entire planning process, which made me feel so much more at ease. The setting is incomparable and we loved having our mostly out of state guests experience the mountains, and they loved it too! The food at Sunspot is fantastic and the venue itself is gorgeous, not to mention the amazing panoramic mountain views. The Sunspot staff was helpful, attentive, and accommodating all night. We had some minor issues with the lodging staff (unrelated to the wedding coordination staff), including confusion about our welcome bags, but Emily stepped in and help resolve the issue very quickly, which we greatly appreciated. We had the best experience and I can't recommend the Lodge at Sunspot enough!
We truly had a wedding that surpassed all expectations. Everything was beautiful and coordinated perfectly by Emily! I couldn't have asked for anything more! As cliche as it may so...

sy to reach via email or text and was available to talk at any time. First of all the venue was amazing. The guests were welcomed and everyone had a great weekend. The food was beyond outstanding. Lets be honest, wedding food is not always well prepared, however the steak and fish were cooked to perfection. The day of was easy and the space they give you to get ready in was really fun with great food. Honestly I could not have imagined my wedding anywhere else and my husband and I are so happy we had our wedding there!!

as, displaying the quilt that my mother-in-law made for us, helping with where we were going to put the oxygen bar (which was a hit) and making sure everyone got their sunglasses and bubbles. The venue itself was spectacular, beautiful on the inside an out. The views from all sides were breath taking, and of coarse the ride up on the chair lift was so pleasant (the quietest point of the whole day). The food was GREAT, we even got to eat it! The whole setup of the dinning area was perfect. We could not be happier. All the guest had a blast people are still raving about it months later. Wonderful place to get married and wonderful staff! Thank you to everyone for your hard work, it all paid off!
I have grown up skiing at Winter Park for 23 years. It has become a home way from home, it was so nice to have been able share in a place that has meant so much to me with my friends and family. Once again thank you! We will see you this season!
We got married this summer at Winter Park Resort and it was amazing. The wedding coordinator, Emily, was very helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process with sending us ...
updates and coordinating with the vendors, which took a lot of stress off of us. The food was great and service was exceptional. We would definitely recommend Winter Park Resort
This venue was a beautiful setting. Taking the chair lift to the top, the view, everything was breathtaking. The food, service was all very professional, organized, and very friend...
ly. We never felt uncomfortable asking questions or getting things done in sufficient time.
Emily took great care of us. I describe the wedding as "magical". Very pleasant experience.
Emily Jackson and the staff at Winter Park Resort made our wedding and the weekend absolutely perfect. The venue is beautiful, the food was great, and taking the chair lift up is a...
fun treat for all of the guests! Leading up to the wedding, we couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. Emily made everything so easy and was very responsive and professional. The day of, everything ran like clock work and as the bride, I was able to take it easy because the staff was so great and had everything under control. I highly recommend the Sunspot Lodge to any bride looking for that perfect scenic venue.
Our wedding was more perfect than we could have imagined!
Planning a destination wedding could be challenging but Emily & Alyse with Winter Park Resort made everything so much e...
asier!
We had both our ceremony & reception at the Lodge at Sunspot. The staff at the lodge helped our wedding day run as smooth as possible. We had a little rain pass through as our ceremony was about to begin. They kept our guests content with a preliminary cocktail hour & once the rain passed,(maybe 20 minutes) they quickly wiped down the seats & sat everyone.
The chairlift entrance & gondola exit to the wedding had to be one of the most unique features. The lift has the most amazing views of Winter Park. It is something your guests will never forget!
Our guests raved about how good that appetizers & food selections were! The wait staff was on top of each table with any drink requests.
We hosted our daughter's wedding in Winter Park and it was absolutely beyond what we thought possible. A destination wedding can add many layers of stress, but from the moment we a...
rrived, a few days early, we felt welcomed and invited to be a part of all the festivities that WP offered. It was a joy to work with Emily and the staff there, they created an atmosphere that honored the natural beauty and accommodated the beauty of all who arrived. It was worth every dime and more - the food, the wine and the craft beers they let my son-in-law choose made the whole day one to remember. Thanks WP, sorry I don't have another wedding to plan, but I would choose you all over again if I could.
We were thrilled to have our ceremony and reception up at Sunspot Lodge at Winter Park, but the whole day, the entire planning process was and everything in-between was a thousand ...
times better than we ever imagined.
The very best part of Sunspot Lodge Winter Park is that you will get to work with Emily -- the location coordinator and your go-to girl to handle every single detail of the day. She was relaxed, always two-steps ahead of me, and genuinely one of the coolest people at the wedding.
My husband and I were living in Dubai, UAE when we planned our wedding and Emily was more than happy to make Skype appointments with us to chat about details or go back and forth with emails since phone calls didn't work.
The food and service from the staff throughout the reception was over the top and completely wonderful in every way. I felt beyond cared for, my parents felt that they got such special service, as did all of our guests.
We had about 135 people at the wedding, all of whom flew in for the occasion. Friends and family stayed here and there around Winter Park, some at the resort, others at Airbnb locations nearby. People loved the small-town feel of the resort -- loved running into each other around town and at coffee shops.
Months later, our guests still cannot stop talking about the breathtaking chairlift ride up the mountain to the event.
We cannot recommend Sunspot Lodge at Winter Park or Emily and her team more than we do!!
My sister recently got married at Winter Park. It was an amazingly romantic place to have a wedding. My whole family flew in from Michigan to take part and it was a family trip we ...
will never forget.
Her planner Emily was amazing. Planning a wedding from afar is not easy, and my sister had SO many ideas and requests for her. Emily make her dream wedding a reality and one thing i noticed myself is what a calming effect Emily had on everyone. Any time any issue or situation came up that we needed help with not only did she step in but she made sure we didn't stress or worry about a THING.
The whole experience was truly amazing and exceeded my already high expectations!
We had a lovely wedding at the Lodge at Sunspot. Emily Jackson, the Event Coordinator was the absolute best! Her input and demeanor throughout the entire process from planning to e...
xecution made the entire day go off stressfree, which I thought was impossible. She really was the main reason we chose Winter Park. She has some great ideas and helped arrange a welcome reception for our guests at Docs Roadhouse (bar/restaurant on the mountain). Additionally, the chairlift aspect was impressive, as were the views. The food (surf & turf with trout and beef tenderloin) was delicious, even by my fathers high standards. At the end of the night, riding in the Gondola as husband and wife under the stars was the most perfect way to end the event.
I am beyond thrilled with how amazing everything went on our wedding day at the Sunspot Lodge at Winter Park. The venue was absolutely spectacular (full rainbow and sunset include...
d) and the staff was so attentive and helpful so I didn't have to worry about a thing! I received so many compliments about how unique and fun our wedding was so I would definitely recommend Winter Park for a wedding spot!
My husband and I could not be happier with our wedding at Winter Park Resort. The food, the service, and the venue itself were all perfect. It was such a pleasure to work with Em...
ily Jackson - she was responsive, personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and great to be around! All of our guests told us how great they thought the wedding was and how much they loved Winter Park. Our wedding was on a Friday and most of our guests stayed in Winter Park for the weekend; it was great to be able to hang out with everyone beyond the wedding itself and everyone had a great time. The scenery is beautiful and the reception and ceremony areas were unique and incredible. The food was fantastic as well - we received numerous comments from guests stating it was better than most weddings they had been to. The staff at Winter Park is unbelievable. They set up everything I needed and did it better than I could have. I wholeheartedly recommend Winter Park Resort, it was a fantastic experience.
The WP wedding planning staff exceeded our expections beyond anything we could have dreamed of. They were great to work with, attentive, extremely accommodating and very nice. The...
venue was beautiful, the food was exceptional and everyone was so friendly and so easy to work with. Thank you WP for giving our daughter the wedding of her dreams!

here we held multiple wedding-weekend events), and the Zephyr Lodge were top-notch, and they went above and beyond to make an amazing weekend for us. Shout out to Jesse at Sunspot, Tosha at Doc's, and Vicky at the front deck for being so professional, friendly, and helpful!
While we experienced some frustrations during the planning process, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service throughout the weekend. Additionally, having an independent planner (Rachel from Love This Day Events) helped us plan from a distance and kept our wedding day running smoothly. When a rainy afternoon threatened the ceremony, all the WP staff were so flexible and willing to do whatever was needed to make the day go smoothly. Overall, we highly recommend Winter Park Resort, both for the wedding itself and as a great destination for your guests!
