Everyone was extremely pleased with the atmosphere and the food was tremendous (fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potato bar, salad bar, green bean almandine, seasonal mixed vegetables, crab stuffed mushrooms, and southwest egg rolls). If I had to do it all over again I would definitely choose the Winterbourne again in a hearbeat!

highly recommend getting the day-of coordinator--Kim P. was a godsend and made everything run flawlessly! As an out-of-state bride, the Winterbourne staff gave me a great list of other vendors to contact, and all of them were great. Highly recommend getting the outdoor lighting from St. John's Illuminations as well. Throughout the process, the staff were helpful and just an email away for any questions I had. Great experience and great people!

ne. From day 1, we booked the Winterbourne on the spot, it is so incredibly charming and beautiful. I can't tell you how easy they were to work with. I had an exact vision of my wedding day and I'll admit I was slightly neurotic about it, Trisha and Bonnie were so wonderful and guided me through every step of the way. Sometimes I would even email them in the middle of the night and they would respond and it was so comforting. You can really tell that everyone at the Winterbourne loves their job. Bonnie was our day of coordinator, and I truly have to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful that you were there. There wasn't a single hiccup on our wedding day. When I say it went perfectly, it truly did. Oh and I didn't even mention the food....It was fantastic! Best food at a wedding I've ever had. I could literally go on for pages about how awesome our wedding was because of everyone at the Winterbourne. Thank you for making our wedding day everything I ever dreamed of.

than the beauty of the venue was the professionalism and kindness of Winterbourne's staff. They were easy to work with from start to finish, and ensured our special day went smoothly. We are especially incredibly thankful for Kim, who was our day of coordinator and ran our rehearsal. She was very kind and a pleasure to work with. The best thing about this venue is THE FOOD. We served brunch, and it was absolutely delicious! We got so many compliments from our guests about how good everything was, and how it was so much better and more creative than standard wedding dinner fare. I wish Winterbourne were a restaurant we could keep coming back to! All in all, I honestly could not have dreamed up a better place to celebrate our special day. The staff and experience were truly wonderful, and you cannot beat the value you're getting, as they are very reasonably priced.

Candice and Trisha go above and beyond for their brides. I cannot thank the two of them enough. My wedding was Nov. 1, 2014 and it was a little cold that day, but it was picture perfect along the river. Our wedding photos are so classic and just amazing. It's affordable and you will surely have the wedding of your dreams. I did!!! Truly a gem!!

Candice which was our coordinator didn't show up until around 2pm, which didn't help for morning of issues. Luckily we were switched from Candice to a lady named Jackie to assist during the wedding and she was fantastic. I highly recommend if you are going to do day of coordination, you request Jackie and not Candice. The reception went great but right after eating dinner, some tables were to be rolled away for dancing, the staff ended up pretty much cleaning up all the table arrangements (even on the tables that were to be left out for guests to sit) and blowing out all of our candles, which made my guests think the wedding was over when in fact there was 2 hours left. So overall it was a nice place but defiantly some miss haps.

or (Candice Williams) and her staff did was amazing. If you are on the fence about paying the small added expense of hiring Candice, don't be. She is worth much much more than what she charges. I can only speak from our experience but she made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day off and helped us plan in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding with many suggestions and tips for things that we would have never thought of had we not hired her. She knows that place inside and out and she will do anything she can to make sure that your day is perfect. Aside from Candice, the venue itself was awesome. The views and setting were outstanding and the food was, well, the best wedding food I've ever had. I know that might be a little bias due to the fact that it was our wedding, but I heard that statement from almost every guest that attended. That being said, if you are in the market for a great wedding venue, give Candice a call and schedule an appointment to visit the Winterbourne. You won't regret it, I promise. -Nate and Liz

She also made sure the wedding party was in place and that I knew what was coming next (cake cutting, toast, garter toss, etc). We had about 40 more people show up than we planned, and had some family drama & she made sure everything still went smooth so I didn't freak out at all. The food.... AMAZING!!! We brought home so many leftovers and I'm so sad we have almost ate it all. It was so great, we got compliments for a few days after the wedding about how awesome the food was. Not to mention the location is just absolutely beautiful! I think our day was absolutely perfect and we definitely couldn't have picked a better location. I would recommend the Winterbourne Inn to everyone! I loved it!

The cost I shared is for the venue plus their buffet that's included in the price, and the gratuity for the serve staff during the time of the event. This does not reflect the cost of alcohol, other expenses, or overall cost of our wedding I can not emphasize enough, the event and our experience was incredible. It was so wonderful being able to celebrate our special day at The Winterbourne Inn. I definately recommend it if you are in the Jacksonville and the surrounding areas!

They did mention I was the calmest bride they've ever seen and I give them most the credit! They were a tremendous help and made my experience less stressful but fun! Candace made sure everyone was rehearsed and running on schedule...she kept the rest of my vendors in check too! The food was excellent, not one complaint. They were really easy going, professional and super sweet. I wish I could relive my perfect day. Do not miss out on having the best indoor/outdoor comfortable, elegant, affordable and beautiful wedding venue like the Winterbourne AND definitely do not skimp on your photographer to make sure you capture all the memories!! Although it can get a little “harried” because of the many components required to make this event successful, there are no worries because Candice and the sensational staff handle it with ease. As a non-profit with tight budget constrictions, we rely on the staff’s expertise to guide us in the right direction, and they never disappoint; from the planning to the break down they are involved every step of the way. Our event promises gourmet food, music, and dancing under the stars while enjoying the St. Johns River breezes- Winterbourne helps us make it happen. Needless to say, we love this venue and could not imagine our most important event of the year being trusted to anyone else, anywhere else.

We had such amazing compliments about the food, the staff, the service, and the flexibility from the inn. Even though it was not the outdoor wedding I had dreamed of I would not change a single thing about my day. Candice even said I could cone back anytime and do a photo shoot with my dress and hubby to get the outdoorsy pics! I highly recommend this amazing venue, people have continued to tell me it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

less than 100 guests.Hire Candice to be your wedding coordinator and she will take care of everything. She makes it a point to let the bride be as stress free as possible. The food is beyond amazing and you can bring your own alcohol. The venue is run more like a home and not like a stuffy country club. I had my fairy tale wedding and a huge part of it was this venue.
