It says a lot about the professionalism and integrity of a vendor when we can plan a wedding from out of state and it be as stress free as wedding planning can be.

We basically had the resort to ourselves, as Wintergreen doesn't book more than one wedding per weekend, and has so many different venues that we had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, rain back-up location, reception, and morning-after brunch all in different places. The views are to die for, the food was delicious, and our final coordinator, Morgan, was so sweet and helpful throughout the planning and the weekend.

Morgan answered all of our questions in a timely manner and made sure everything was ready to go the day of our wedding. We were unsure about having our wedding 5 hours away, but we are so glad we chose Wintergreen.

From the first time we met with Veronica to day-of planning and coordination, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our guests loved every minute of their time at Wintergreen and took advantage of the many great photo opportunities; we definitely heard "best wedding ever" many times. We got many compliments about how good ALL of the food was (from appetizers during happy hour to the breakfast Sunday AM!). Wintergreen's rain backup options were a great stress relief even though the Wintergreen's outdoor options for both the ceremony and reception worked perfectly for us. It was also worth while to have everything (lodging, ceremony, reception, breakfast, etc.) in one place. Guests staying on-site have options for free entertainment (hiking, pools,...) to golf and many options nearby (like Devil's Backbone brewery). Wintergreen is a gem for anyone in the Virginia, WV, NC, MD, PA... area. Most our guests admitted they wished they came to Wintergreen sooner and that they can't wait to go back. (Please keep in mind Wintergreen is primarily a ski resort that does weddings in the off season so I'd suggest checking it out at least once or twice beforehand. We've had fun each and every time there and we are already excited go back again!) We'd strongly recommend Wintergreen Resort for weddings to anyone interested.

green was a solid choice because everyone was able to stay on site and not have to worry about driving once the celebrations began. Once we saw the ceremony site, we were absolutely hooked. Rhianon was an excellent resource throughout our planning process and was on top of absolutely everything during the weekend. Our wedding weekend was a fantastic event and everything went off as scheduled without a hitch, despite the cold weather. We had our outdoor ceremony as planned and were able to quickly escort the guests onto the waiting shuttles for the indoor cocktail hour to make up for the cold ceremony. The reception was wonderful, the food was tasty, and we had fantastic service from every member of the staff that we met. We would absolutely recommend Wintergreen for anyone who is looking for a beautiful space to have their wedding with plenty of lodging for out-of-town guests.

e ceremony was on the top of a mountain overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and was breath-taking. The reception turned out even better than I could have imagined. All in all, this was an amazing weekend and we cannot recommend Wintergreen enough!

ring the initial consult, I was told the fee covered rehearsal site, ceremony site, and reception site. The only additional charge would be for The Overlook for the ceremony location due to guests having to be shuttled. I stated I didn't want that and I was told I would be sent photos of the ceremony spot she thought would be perfect for me. 4 days later I had to remind her to send those pictures and they turned out to be the spot I had said I didn't want! That's when she informed that that The Overlook was the only outdoor ceremony location. Umm...then why wasn't that ever said before when I said I didn't want it but wanted an outdoor ceremony? And then why does the webpage state various outdoor locations and so did her emails? Once I asked her that, she stopped replying to me. Shady...shady...shady...

lue Ridge Overlook and it is the most breathtaking view to have a ceremony. The food is spectacular and open bar is included in plate price!! I looked at over 10 different venues in VA and this was by far the best priced then when we came a toured it and saw how beautiful it is, we knew it was the perfect place.

re my husband and I had the most beautiful day (despite the weather!). She was so responsive and supportive throughout all of the planning and her team was on point with all of the details we wanted to see in each of the events. There are so many potential ceremony and reception spots (and weather backups) and all of our guests could stay onsite with us but still enjoy all of the attractions of the local wineries and breweries. Wintergreen had a lot of attractions onsite that our guests participated in too before the wedding (golfing, spa, guided tours, fitness center and pool) and they loved making a mini vaca out of it. This venue was everything we were looking for - from the people, the range of sites, the food, the cost, the flexibility, to the execution of all the details - it was amazing and seamless, everything we hoped our wedding weekend would be!!
