This past May, our son, Joseph and his sweetheart Alexis had their wedding ceremony and reception at Witman Hills at flat rock.
It is difficult in words to adequately express how ...magnificently everything went,, so I will try to break it down into smaller sections.
First,, the location is in the Dogwood Acre, Campground, in Newville, Pennsylvania,, a lovely location with a background of rolling Hills, and a sweet pond adjacent to where the ceremony was held.
The evening before the wedding, we were afforded the opportunity to have a campfire pizza party for the early arrivals,,, several lovely cabins were available for rental by the wedding party and guests that were very nice, and appointed with all that was necessary for our stay.
For the wedding, the staff at Witman Hills,, most notably, Kristin and Charlie, were present from first contact to the day after the wedding, to assist, support and encourage us with any anxieties, (and I had more than a few),, information regarding resources, and putting everything together.
They were like personalized wedding planners, always available to answer questions and adjust the event to suit Joseph and Alexis‘ wishes.
If I was to rate the experience, based on a 1 being poor, and 5 being excellent, I would give Witman Hills a 12. The facility, the staff support, the flexibility, were beyond anything I might’ve expected.
The experience was personal from start to finish. The natural beauty of the setting and the loveliness of the venue cannot be overrated.
If you are thinking of a special unique wedding experience, my recommendation is to seriously considergive Kristin and Charlie a call.
