We had banana cake for our wedding and it was excellent. They did it naked style with some nuts thrown in. It was the absolute best wedding cake I'VE EVER had.

Went in to pick up cupcakes for sampling the flavors. The lady who does the wedding cake planning, was in the large window talking badly about a customer who had just called in about their cake. That should have been my first sign. She then came over to me, I asked her about cakes with a little frosting as neither my fiancé or I like a lot of frosting. She was so rude and said "then you get no filling in the cake." I said ok well what are my options. she said "cake and white frosting" ok..so then I asked about cake toppers. she said "you do that. it's your responsibility" Got it. I won't be ordering from them. the cake was good but when that's the type of customer service you offer, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. Maybe she was having a bad day but you don't snap on the customer.

Wixey's cakes and cupcakes were a huge hit at our wedding! Everything was beautiful and delicious. We had a super easy experience with tasting and the team was extremely flexible with scheduling and payment during the pandemic. Can't thank this team enough for providing such a beautiful sweet treat for our big day!

This place is super easy to work with and they allow you to try so many samples before landing on the perfect one!

We ordered a 3 tier cake with 2 kitchen cakes and they were phenomenal! Our display cake looked exactly how I described and was absolutely beautiful! They were all so kind and knowledgeable during the planning process and even made sure they lined up delivery with our florist so the flowers could be placed! We picked Wixey because they made my parents wedding cake, and I would choose them over and over again!

Wixey made a beautiful wedding cake for us! It was exactly what we asked for, and it was delicious! We ordered a lemon cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting, and some of our guests reported having multiple slices :). The team was so easy to work with and did a great job!

We loved the cake, but the customer service was not the best. I felt like they were very short and rude with us, especially when I was just asking questions. Planning a wedding that’s in Ohio, from California wasn’t easy and it seemed as if they were annoyed and didn’t care.

Wixey's made the entire wedding cake buying experience so easy and the cake was a stunner! The women at Wixey's gave us plenty of time to make decisions and let us literally try every single flavor combination. The cake tasted great and turned out beautifully!

Wixey's made the cake and cupcakes for our May 5th wedding and they were absolutely delicious! Our simple 3 tiered cake was exactly what I imagined. We don't have any leftovers (the ultimate compliment) so we will need to stop into the bakery soon. Sending a huge thank you to Wixey's staff!

Like many, I knew growing up in South Toledo that this would be where I'd get my wedding cake someday. The champagne flavor and raspberry filling were phenomenal. We kept the decoration simple on the cake, a bit of a 1920s/art deco theme, and we let the bakery essentially do what they thought was best (we aren't picky and gave them enough direction) . We were very pleased with the results, and the florists additions were perfect, and personalized cake topper made it more "us." Typically done by a Pittsburgh bakery, we asked for something like this which was not on the menu at Wixey's but something they were willing to make for us. They made a test-run of the cake that we were able to taste and with some feedback made a few adjustments and the cake for the rehearsal was perfect. They may be offering this in the future (it is phenomenal!!!). We had a cookie table (also a Pittsburgh thing) and had left-over cake which we donated to a community dinner at the church where we got married and even got compliments from those who attended about the cake. Wixey's was easy to work with remotely (I live in Pittsburgh so planned the wedding mostly while out of town). Thank you Wixey's for the cakes, your service, and for being so easy to work with!

I've been coming to Wixey since I was a little girl, but my wedding cake exceeded my expectations! We ordered enough for 170 people but only had 150ish guests so I was expecting a ton of leftovers, but we had almost none! Everyone loved our champagne and red velvet cake and our spice, carrot, and lemon cupcakes. Everything was perfect, and they even put my cupcake toppers on for me during setup!

The cake was just what I had envisioned and tasted amazing! I cannot wait to have the top tier (which was automatically saved) for my 1 year anniversary!

Our cake was simply amazing! It was exactly what I had envisioned and everyone loved how delicious all of the flavors were! I would highly recommend Wixey to anyone looking to order their wedding cake!

The cake was very good but not what we asked for. We did cupcakes with a small cake to display and for us to freeze and eat on our anniversary. I went in and asked for the top cake to have navy blue frosting and a ribbon around the middle. When I stated navy blue the woman in charge of wedding orders (Judy, I think) stated "navy will be really dark, are you sure?" I told her I was sure as the main color of our wedding was navy. One of my bridesmaids picked up the order so I didn't see it until just before and it was most definitely not navy.. it didn't match anything from our wedding. We got compliments on the taste of the cupcakes and everyone loved them but I am extremely disappointed to have pictures of the cake and it doesn't even match.

Wixey was a great choice for us. They were so easy to work with. First, they provided us with such a great sampling pack. It was so much fun to go home and try all of the combinations. Wixey far surpassed all other bakeries we met with. We highly recommend. Thanks!

Wixey bakery is by far the best bakery in our city. The staff are so easy and pleasant to work with. I gave them my vision and they brought it to life, but only better.

Wixey was late delivering my wedding cake. They arrived when the guest were arriving, despite having spoke with myself 48 hours before the wedding, the florist and venue about time. Despite the late arrival, the cake tasted great and I received compliments.

I grew up within a mile of Wixey's so I always knew they would make my wedding cake. We had a three tiered champagne flavored cake, along with macaroons and cut out cookies with our initial on them. The desserts were fantastic at a great price.

Wixey Bakery, a great classic for cakes and other baked goods in the area, lived up to their reputation for our wedding cake. They allowed us to come in for a free cake tasting, where they make cupcakes of all of their cake flavors and provide us with them along with frostings and fillings to taste alongside them. After choosing our three cake flavors and fillings and giving them the design we wanted (covered in sprinkles!), they truly delivered what we wanted.

We had Wixey desserts at a wedding about 4 weeks before ours, and we were SO excited after that! We had a 3 tier cake that was simple. White frosting, blue ribbon on the bottom of each layer, and then small frosting dots around the bottom of the ribbon. We went with white cake and raspberry frosting, and lemon cake with strawberry filling for the 3 tiers. (2 Tiers were white) We also had 1 grooms cake which was carrot! Whatever you do - GET CARROT with CREAM CHEESE filling. It was THE BEST. They also did an awesome job with decorating the grooms cake! My husband is a former BG runner, so I had them make a track with the BGSU falcon in the middle. It looked awesome and the figurines I got of Etsy were both hilarious and perfect! The last cake we did was a kitchen cake because I was desperate to have a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and raspberry filling. The caterer brought that out after we did the cake cutting and out of enough cake for 200 people we went home with about 20 slices (which we proceeded to eat the next day with family!). Wixey is a great bakery if you are looking for a simple and DELISH cake! Your guests will not be disappointed.

My fiance and I picked up cupcakes and sampled them instead of speaking with someone right away. We loved the ease of not having to spend a ton of time eating in front of someone else. We went back to the bakery on a Tuesday afternoon, because the cake was very good, but we were unable to order a cake because we were so put off by the service. We were handed a piece of paper with prices and asked what we wanted. The woman gave us absolutely no direction...she just stared at us and told us that they couldn't do anything unless they received the deposit. I understand the necessity of a deposit, but to have that as the only information given was ridiculous! She then handed us a book of some cake pictures and told us to let her know when we were ready to give her our money and then walked away. We left without ordering anything! We then received a vm from the woman saying she didn't get our deposit so she would not hold our date...not "I'm sorry you left, is there anything else we can do for you." I would have loved to have my wedding cake done by Wixey's, but could not get beyond the horrible customer service.

I did multiple 1 tiered cakes with 4 different flavors and all decorated with white buttercream icing. They were simple yet elegant. YUM! DELICIOUS! WONDERFUL! The cakes were all beautifully decorated and exactly want I wanted. Denise was great to work with and she seemed so excited to be apart of my special day.

Wixey's is the best! The hardest part of working with Wixey's was choosing the cake flavors! I highly suggest the champagne cake--it went so fast that we actually double checked to see if it was included in my cake. It was. I personally think their white cake is the best in the city. The decoration was perfect--very impressive to me because I only showed them one picture of what I liked. My cake was exactly what I wanted and I'm so glad I went with Wixey's.

Wixey's was my childhood bakery. So I wanted to use their services knowing how good they are. Their cakes are fantastic, and everyone raved about them! We had cakes as center pieces on each table in a variety of flavors. And our one year anniversary cake was amazing! Wixey's never falls short!

I have been going to Wixey's since I was little. It was the bakery to go to growing up. Everything they have taste so good. We decided the first place we were going to look was Wixey's. We just called and they asked when we wanted to come in and taste. We went in and tasted and came back and sat down with someone (its been a couple years) and see wrote down everything we wanted. Upon arriving at the reception, I was so excited to see the cake. It turned out perfect and tasted great! We had 2 different flavors.

Wixey used ribbon I provided to make an awesome cake. Their champagne cake is ridiculously amazing! So good that every year I take my (now three year old) daughter to get a "pink" cake (champagne) every year. They did an excellent job for my wedding in May of 2009 and starting in 2011 (daughter's birth) to this date I have been satisfied every time I order. I definitely recommend Wixey!

My husband and I always end up scrapping the frosting off cakes. So we had an unusual request for our wedding cake. Wixey did a great job with our unfrosted (or naked) wedding cake. It was still moist and just as delicious as it would have been with all the frosting. We also chose to add a secondary table cake, which was cheaper than adding another teir. They were really friendly and made sure that everything was the way I wanted.

Not only was my cake beautiful, it tasted wonderful as well. I'm not a huge cake fan but I love Wixey's cakes. My wedding cake was done exactly as I wanted. The staff were all friendly and so helpful.

Even though our wedding was in Ann Arbor, we knew we wanted a Wixey cake, and they thankfully made the delivery (for a small extra fee). We wanted our cake to first and foremost taste delicious, and Wixey's delivered. We ordered a four-layer cake and two kitchen cakes, with five flavors total (no extra cost for more flavors!), and everyone loved each kind. Even though we ordered a lot extra, there was hardly any left because people kept going back for more. And the look of the cake was perfect. I met with one of their bakers several times and gave a few pictures for guidance, but the final product was even better than I had imagined. Oh, and their buttercream is to die for. No fondant here, but why would you want it?

Wixey provided my wedding cake and cupcakes. We selected a small 6in cake to cute as well as 200+ cupcakes. Flavors were Red Velvet, Champagne, and Carrot. All were delicious. They provided a cupcake tree to use and delivered free of charge. Only downside is because we did cupcakes, we could not get any filling with the cakes.

I knew since I was a little girl that I wanted to have Wixey's cake on my wedding day. As usual, it was absolutely delicious. They also delivered the exact design that I gave them. I recommend them to anyone!

We got our cake from Wixey and absolutely loved it! We got so many compliments from it and I can't wait to eat the top part of our cake on our one year anniversary!

My husband and I are cookie monsters, so we wanted cookies instead of a "wedding cake." The initial bakery we tried wouldn't help us, so we ended up at Wixey's and had some amazing chocolate chips and sugar cookies. They helped us try different looks and also were accommodating when we had changes after placing our order.

We chose Wixey to make our wedding cake and we could not have been happier! My husband does not like cake and he even said it was amazing. The cake itself was moist and flavorful, the staff was a pleasure to work with and the value was great. The best part was testing and mixing and matching the 12 different cake flavors and 6 cake fillings. We received numerous compliments from our guests and will continue to use them for other occasions.

A family favorite among my husband's family, it was delicious as expected. They had fun flavors and varieties to choose from (we went with two layers of amaretto and one of chocolate with buttercream), and they duplicated the image we gave them very well of what we wanted the cake to look like. They're honestly a bit difficult to reach at times, with the specific people you need to talk to only available at certain times, but I can't really fault them for that given that they're a small local business and incredibly popular/busy. Plus they were very communicative the day of. Overall, a good experience.

We had our wedding cake done by Wixey's Bakery. The cake was absolutely delicious. The only thing I wasn't particularly fond of was the scrolling on the cake. We'd indicated that we wanted very little scrolling, but it was very thick and made the cake look less modern than we like. I had a lot of compliments on the taste though!

Amazing cakes and super easy to work with. They worked alot with us on design because we didn't want a traditional cake. They were really personalized the cake unlike some of the other vendors we looked at that gave you very few choices.

Gorgeous cake and they even let me chose the color of ribbon I wanted to it would match my bridesmaids dresses. Best of all, I have a lot of food allergies and they made sure that I could be completely safe!

I won a 150.00 off wedding cake gift certificate at Rogers and Holland where we got our rings. So i got my beautiful cake for only 40.00. It was so delicious and good that everyone wanted to know where i got it. It was the best cake i have ever had. I will definitely recommend it to everyone i know

Wixey's bakery has always been a family favorite and they were a no brainer for our wedding cake. They delivered and set up the cake without me having to be at the hall or do a thing. Awesome service and fabulous cake! Top notch service and of course a great tasting wedding cake that we look forward to eating again on our one year anniversary!

Tried a few different cakes at a local Bridal Expo and Wixey's definitely had the best of the 5 or 6 that I sampled. We had to use them because of an agreement with our reception vendor, but very pleased that we did! Only complaint was that the people who do the wedding cakes are only in the shop at certain times and they don't take appointments. I am from out of town and it was really hard to get in to meet with them. The day I finally did was around a holiday and they barely had any time to meet with me so my cake didn't look exactly as I had planned but it was very close. Ladies were super nice and it was great that they deliver the cake and it was another detail I didn't have to worry about. Taste was also great!
