Wolf Trap Farm

We got married leveraging their elopement package with 8 guests and a dog, staying at the manor house for Sun/Mon with a Monday evening wedding. It was absolutely phenomenal. Tina was amazing, making sure the arbor was in place, setting up chairs, picking up flowers, and driving my music. She was incredibly responsive and available for anything I needed. The flowers included in the package were arranged based on pictures I provided and were amazing (pic attached). The dining room in the manor house was the perfect size for the 10 of us to sit down for dinner/drinks/cake after the wedding, and having everyone stay together at the house made the whole experience feel more like a weekend getaway than a traditional wedding. The manor house is on the national register of historical places and is located on a working farm. It is old, there aren't outlets everywhere you want them, it's not tightly sealed, and it's a bit creaky. As with every farm, they're waging a constant war with bugs and flies. They're mostly winning, but you'll probably encounter some flies in the kitchen. Keep the screen doors shut and the (provided) fly swatter handy. It's the price of enjoying a beautifully decorated historic home surrounded by horses and did not detract from our stay a bit. And then there are the horses, which were one of our favorite parts of staying there. They are incredibly social and accustomed to people, and happily meander over to the gate for pats and pets. If they see evidence of carrots or apples, make that a gallop over to the gate. The welcome information explicitly permits feeding the horses cut apples and carrots, unless the paddock is otherwise marked (there was no such signage during our stay) and they absolutely know to expect treats. And there are foals! Watching the foals doing their zoomies, milkies, and nappies (in that order) was amazing and a highlight for our guests. This was one of very few wedding venues in the area that catered to tiny weddings, allowed dogs not only at the wedding, but in the residence, and had a giant house that could fit everyone. The combination of setting, the house, the flexibility, and Tina's help made it a wonderful choice for us. If you're looking for a small, relaxed, pet-friendly wedding where you can spend the weekend with your people rather than a traditional large wedding production, I cannot recommend their elopement package highly enough.

Wolf Trap Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding. We rented the Black Meadow pavilion and all the houses on the property. My husband and I stayed in the Servants Cottage while our bridal party stayed in the Manor house and family filled the rest of the houses. Our wedding was on a Saturday and it was an absolute blessing to have access to the pavilion the day before the wedding in order to start setting up - I can't imagine having to worry about that all the morning of the wedding. My husband and I actually stayed at Wolf Trap on the Thursday night before our wedding and we wish we had arranged to stay even earlier/stayed after the wedding! It is gorgeous and so relaxing. The horses and very friendly, there are walking trails, etc., so much to do! Another huge perk was that the venue it dog friendly, so my dog was able to stay with us all weekend and be part of the wedding. And I can't say enough good things about Tina, the site coordinator. She was so friendly, helpful, and quick. I couldn't have asked for a better venue, and I will definitely be back in the future to visit the farm again!
