Buckle up! This is a long review and hopefully worth reading. We are so happy that we chose Sara to photograph our special day! We had our wedding in October 2021 and coincidentally the same day as Sara and her husband's wedding anniversary. That enough just shows how dedicated she is to her passion of photography. She was so kind to us and genuinely seems like a nice person, which made our decision so easy. She was our first vendor we locked down and after our first phone call I knew that she'd be perfect for us. Posing in front of the camera is not something I'm necessarily comfortable doing, as most people may not be, but Sara made us feel so comfortable and guided us along the way. She made the photo session feel really natural and fun. She was organized and timely, which were very important to me. First, I want to start off by saying how helpful she was throughout the whole planning process as I had to plan our wedding from the West Coast. She answered all my questions regarding the schedule, timing, color schemes, and much more. She even went out of her way to tour the venue before our wedding day since she hadn't been there before. In addition, since I couldn't be there myself for the final planning arrangements, she helped me pick linen colors, gave wonderful suggestions of table arrangements, and offered her feedback at times it was difficult for me to visualize everything from afar. I trusted her input and went with all of her suggestions and I didn't regret it. On the day of the wedding, Sara and her assistant were timely. Everything went so smoothly and naturally. I never had to "find a photographer" because someone was always there to document. I've been in many wedding parties and found myself oftentimes having to "find the photographer" so that they can document moments that the bride wanted. Luckily for me, that never even came to mind on my wedding day. I loved that Sara and her assistant were able to capture the details of our wedding so beautifully, ranging form the beautiful flower arrangements to the details of the cake. She captured all the angles of my ceremony and reception, including the close-up photos that captured the lovely facial expressions of our guests to the zoomed out photos of all the guests dancing on the dance floor. Before the night ended, Sara kindly asked if there were any last shots that I wanted before they wrapped up, which I thought was great. By that time, we were all on the dance floor so I knew she got some good shots already. We received our wedding album within a month! I couldn't believe it. By the time we received our photos, we were still on a wedding high so it made that moment even more exciting. We were absolutely blown away by how much of the details that she documented (that we missed). As the bride, I wasn't able to see the final details of the wedding in every room before the guests arrived, and by having these photos I was really able to appreciate the work of the florist and vendors. Prior to the wedding, Sara and I discussed the type of "feel" we wanted the photos to capture, and I told her that I wanted to capture the essence of "living in the moment" so that when we went back to look at the photos, we could feel as if we are reliving that day. With that being said, there were a ton of candid photos that made me laugh, cry, and giggle. They were perfect! Her photos displayed a soft, romantic touch that were timeless. I highly recommend Wolfcrest Photography!

We cannot say enough great things about Sara! Since our first phone call we felt like she understood what we wanted for our big day and instantly clicked. She is also so kind and patient which made the wedding planning process so much easier. My husband and I are shy people, and Sara made us feel so comfortable and natural at our engagement session. She knew when to let us be ourselves and when we needed guidance which we really appreciated. We were blown away by our wedding pictures and truly feel like she captured all of the emotions that we felt that day. She is great at capturing timeless photos and candids which are my favorites. Not only is she a gifted photographer, her organizational skills and professionalism were above and beyond! She responds to emails quickly and is always available for any questions. She reached out before our wedding day to confirm which group photos we wanted, and her timeline was perfect! The whole day ran smoothly and we're so happy to have beautiful pictures to remember our day!

I cannot say enough good things about Sara and Wolfcrest Photography. My husband and I were one of the couples caught up in the wedding postponements in spring 2020. We moved our celebration from May 2020 to May 2021 and finally to May 2022. Sara (and later Carley too!) took our engagement photos, photographed our legal ceremony, and ultimately the celebration we were able to have with friends and family. We feel so, so lucky that Sara was able to be with us for all of those occasions. Her talent as a photographer is readily evident based on her photos, but what's even better is how wonderful Sara is as a person. She was so understanding throughout all of the postponements and incredibly communicate with us. We always felt like we were in very capable hands. Sara also made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I aren't used to having our photos taken--and certainly not kissing or embracing for the camera! We had been worried about how we would feel during the photo-taking process, but Sara instantly put us at ease. We went from feeling nervous to having a fantastic time! Her simultaneously calm and fun-loving energy is infectious. You can tell that she really loves what she does and cares about it. We've used Sara's photography services 3 times and every single time has been a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a photographer who is both technically very talented and simultaneously a wonderful, wonderful person to work with--Sara and Wolfcrest Photography have to be your choice. We are so incredibly happy with our experiences and will absolutely be using her services in the future.

My wife and I considered no fewer than 30 photographers before we finally chose who we were going to work with. The decision was the most time-consuming choice we made - every photographer had a unique style, and prices varied wildly. We were meticulous and judicious in whittling down our list of options, enumerating the pros and cons of each. At the time, I took pride in our rigor but in retrospect I find it laughable. I knew from the moment we added Wolfcrest to our list that Sara and her work was the best. In fact, it stood out so superior to our other considerations that to even think of pursuing her as our wedding photographer felt like a guilty luxury. Imagining our own memories framed through the lens of Sara's composition felt so indulgent that we were reluctant to even consider the possibility initially, and so we continued the 'process'. But when we finished our lengthy exercise, every pro and con enumerated, inevitably it only could have ever been Wolfcrest. Now, our photos read like a story book. Wolfcrest elevated our wedding's niche theme to an otherwordly romantic event. In these photos, my wife resembles a renaissance ideal of beauty. Looking at our photos now feels like the guilty pleasure I knew they would be the first time we saw what Sara can do. Thank you Sara.

We have Sara and Wolfcrest Photography to thank for the most perfect shots for our wedding day. Truly, the quality of our photos surpassed anything that we could have even imagined. So many people have raved about our photos. Her style is timeless, effortless, and real. She made so much effort to create a warm and easy going environment when getting her shots; my husband and I felt very comfortable with her during our couples portraits. She made ALL the accommodations for us to make sure we had all the shots we wanted at multiple locations on our wedding day. Sara was incredibly easy to work with. From the moment we first made contact with her, to all the back and forth over email since we were planning across the country, she was steady and consistent in her responses. She even made it to our walk thru so she could get a feel for our venue and meet us for the first time in person! Choosing Sara and Wolfcrest Photography was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

Last week we got our wedding photos and they were beyond beautiful. It's so difficult to pick which we want in our wedding album. We also had photos of our rehearsal dinner and and engagement shoot! Sara- you are incredible and are way more than a photographer. You really went above and beyond to understand us as a couple and that is obvious in our photos. Thank you for making photos easy and fun and seem less of a chore on our wedding day. It was more like hanging out with our friend all day! We will cherish our photos for our lifetime and we look forward to the day our children showcase our wedding photos at their wedding. And we look forward to having you take future family photos...in due time!

Where do I start? Sara was personable, sweet, professional, flexible and pleasant from the get-go. She was patient when we didn't know how to pivot our wedding plans when Covid-19 hit, but was so accommodating when we bounced back with new plans! Our pictures came out crisp, stunning, lively and just BEAUTIFUL. She is truly a gem to work with!

Sara is an amazing photographer! We used her skills for our engagement photos and she exceeded all of our expectations. Sara is SO amazing!! She contacted me(makeupbysac) about doing the makeup for a bridal boudoir shoot back in March and I am SO glad that I said yes! I am beyond OBSESSED with the pictures from the shoot! I put them on my website, Instagram, Facebook page, and google listing! They are some of my favorite pictures from all of the shoots I worked on! She also recommended me to one of her brides and it was so wonderful to get to work with her on a wedding as well! Sara has been a HUGE part of our year, from shooting our proposal (literally in hiding with a session to follow), our beautiful fall engagement session with our sweet pup, AND our perfect wedding day.. Sara has made this year so special every step of the way! Not only is Sara extremely professional and talented with her craft, she also helped with the planning process by providing a helpful guide, timeline information, and recommendations to all of our questions. Sara has been wonderful to work with this past year and we are so thankful! Sara goes above and beyond to get the most amazing shots! Not only did she stay later than her booked time (thank you, Sara) she CONTINUED to shoot our wedding details the next day to get even more amazing invitation/menu/florals/bridal details shot. She created a beautiful image with our invites and deconstructed florals and even put a beautiful wax seal on the invitation! Sara provided our beautifully edited albums promptly after all of our sessions. We could not have asked for a better experience and are so thankful for Wolfcrest Photography! Sara and Adam were incredible! We worked primarily with Sara in the lead up to our wedding and then met Adam on our wedding day for videography. Sara was amazing in making us feel comfortable with her and so confident yet down to earth when taking our engagement and wedding photos. She has a great energy and enthusiasm for photography and was extremely professional with us in all of our interactions. When posting our engagement and wedding photos online, Sara took a lot of time to put thoughtful and heartfelt messages into the narrative of her posts which really showed she cared about making our moments special and meaningful. We also had edited sneak peaks the day after our wedding, if that’s not timely and professional we don’t know what is! Adam was equally upbeat and positive to work with and we enjoyed having them involved in our wedding as a husband and wife combo. We feel that this helped to maximize the overall quality of the product provided to us. Sara and Adam were able to see and understand our love for one another on a more intimate level and they were able to capture that love in their photos and videos. The custom tailored gift box with a flash drive and prints was a great surprise to come home to after our honeymoon! Everyone we have showed our photos has had nothing but praise for the quality of the images. We LOVED working with both Sara and Adam and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top- notch photography and videography services. When we have other photography needs, we will certainly be using Wolfcrest again!

Sara is diligent, professional, and an extremely sweet person to work with. Best decision we made for our wedding. The photos are absolutely stunning—from our engagement session to the reception, and everything in between. She is responsive and helpful in every way possible. On my wedding day, she brought along a wedding planner who ended up being the one to bustle my dress! Sara kept things moving for family portraits which can be so chaotic. I knew I didn’t have to worry about anything with Sara. She helped make the day perfect.

Working with Sara at Wolfcrest Photography was literally a dream come true. I had been following her work ever since she photographed my friend's wedding a few years ago, recommended her to another friend so that I could see her work in action again, and swore that one day we would have her shoot our own wedding. When we got engaged, the very next day I was working to put that dream into motion. Wolfcrest Photography was the first vendor that I reached out to, before I even had a venue picked, as we knew the date we wanted to get married right away. Sara was very responsive. Even though we didn’t have a venue, so our date couldn’t have been 100% guaranteed, she let us know that she was available and would be able to book us once we confirmed with the venue. She sent packaging details, etc., all within 24 hours of my first inquiry. Once we locked down a venue, I confirmed with her within the hour. Our package included engagement photos, so we then worked on setting those up. I don't know about all of you, but the first few minutes of posing in front of a camera in public is awkward. Thank goodness for Sara's great direction and good humor - all of the weirdness faded away fast, and we were romantically posing like pros in no time. Our engagement session near home was perfect and everything we wanted it to be. She did a great job of not only visually capturing the moments, but you can really feel the moments when you look at her photos. We had a lot of people mention that they could really feel the love and laughter when going through the photos and I love that. Throughout the whole planning process, she was always on time, responsive (no matter how far in advance of our wedding the email was sent), and very organized. She laid out the timeframe for our wedding and it flowed beautifully. The wedding day photos were as much of a hit as the engagement photos – through every photo I remember exactly how happy I felt in that moment, which is truly magical. The bridal party and my family all commented on what a great job she and Carley, her second shooter, did. The golden hour light was beautifully captured and takes my breath away every time I look at this photos! I would hire them all over again, if given the chance. I will continue to highly recommend Wolfcrest Photography to anyone who is in need of a wedding and/or family photographer.

Sara and Adam are awesome! They are easy to work with, timely, professional, and they deliver the best photos/videos ever! I have had many people tell me my wedding photos are "magazine worthy". Sara makes you feel comfortable and lets you know how to stand and what to do. When your a bride, there is a lot going on and the last thing you need to stress about is how to pose in a photo. She makes it look so natural and easy. Thank you both for capturing our special day!!! I love reliving it through the video and photos!!

Sara was an absolute joy to work with both in our wedding planning process and on our wedding day. From the beginning, she displayed superb organizational skills with her detailed timeline, information guides, and photo shoot tips. On our wedding day she struck the perfect balance of being assertive, warm and composed to make sure everything went smoothly with our photos and our timeline. It was very clear that she genuinely cared that not only our photos turned out great, but that my husband and I wouldn’t feel an ounce of stress during our wedding day which I truly appreciated. My husband and I had never been professionally photographed before and she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed while taking our photos. They turned out GORGEOUS and we are so excited to continue looking through every single one! Sara truly has an artistic eye for capturing light in the most perfect way in her photos.

Sara was honestly the most amazing person to work with and my husband and I are so so happy we booked her for our wedding! Our pictures are so beautiful and we could not be more happy with how they turned out. Sara was super responsive and addressed everything we needed. She is incredibly organized, an amazing photographer, and just a beautiful person inside and out. If you have the chance to book her you definitely should!

If you're getting married in the Virginia/DC area - look no further than Sara! Sara did a beautiful job at my sister's wedding so when it was my turn, picking our photographer was the easiest decision we had to make. And holy guacamole did Sara deliver. This is a long review, but I think it's only fair to elaborate on just how great she is. First of all, Sara is one of the sweetest people to work with (I feel like we'd be friends if we had met outside of this!). She makes taking lots of romantic photos with your significant other feel really comfortable and natural. And to make sure to adequately prep us, she sent us a guide book to taking good photos, filled with helpful tips. Before we took any pictures, she also got to know "us" (via Facetime) and our style which helped us feel comfortable with her and I think helped her pull out not only the best side of us, but also the "real" us while we were taking photos. For instance, at one point she told me husband to whisper 3 things in my ear to make me laugh...and she captured a great photo of it. Whenever I see that photo, I can remember what my husband whispered and that it GENUINELY made me laugh - it wasn't a forced or fake laugh, it was real. So that picture always makes me smile. With Sara, things just felt so effortless. We told her some things we liked and without ever having to push, she truly listened that first time and worked REALLY hard to capture what we were hoping to get (of course - in her classic/timeless style, which is exactly what we wanted). That made us feel so comfortable and confident in her ability to capture us the way we had envisioned, that we felt like we were truly able to let loose. The best way to exemplify this is that we really liked the idea of getting engagement photos in the snow, but also realized it's basically impossible to plan that. So we were set to do a weekend shoot in March, but we got lucky with snow on the Wednesday beforehand. Sara was so flexible she actually reached out suggesting moving the shoot to Thursday to try and capture us in the snow before it melted away by the weekend (which it did). We were elated at the idea and immediately agreed! But we totally underestimated just how COLD shooting in the snow would actually be. There were strong winds and all of our fingers and toes were frozen by the end, but Sara was a trooper and didn't complain once. If we were with anyone else, we would have easily bailed on the idea because we felt so bad subjecting her to the cold...but she was encouraging and made us laugh while we were all freezing and was stayed longer to capture the perfect golden hour shots. We also had told her before that we like glowy photos with sun coming through. It was a partly cloudy day and she STILL was able to capture several glowy shots! When we saw our engagement photos we were in awe of what we she was able to do. I didn't think it could get better than the engagement shots until we saw our wedding photos. She and her second photographer worked hard to get so many amazing shots...including incredible sunset photos, candids, party shots, details, first look, everything! We've received countless compliments on our photos and couldn't be more thankful to have had Sara capture our day. Her pricing is also reasonable, and for the excellent service she delivers, we just want others to work with her because of how much joy she brought to us! :)

Sara was absolutely amazing, professional, and there for us throughout the entire process. Without a doubt, Sara made us both feel so comfortable from day one, and was someone who we could rely on for advice and guidance about everything related to the wedding process. We had a interfaith, intercultural marriage, and Sara was able to pass on a lot of her experience which helped us with our wedding planning process. From the first introductory phone call, Sara explained everything about what to expect and her packages, answered all of our questions, and effortlessly eased away all of our fears about being awful in front of the camera. Sara really spends the time to get to know you, and for the few months leading up to our engagement shoot, Sara was always willing to answer so many of our wedding planning questions, and was very flexible about us needing to reschedule. When we met her for the first time during the engagement shoot, it definitely felt like working with both 1) a professional who knows exactly what they are doing and 2) a friend who understands what they need to do to support you. We weren't entirely sure about how to utilize our engagement photo location, but Sara instinctively knew exactly how to use the buildings, walking paths, and light to take awesome photos. The hour or so session went by like a blur, and by the end of it we felt super comfortable posing and learning how to take natural looking photos without feeling awkward about it. Afterwards, we were so surprised by how quickly Sara gave us back the photos (200+) and loved how they turned out, and it made us both very excited about seeing our eventual wedding day photos. On the wedding day itself, with her second photographer Carly (who was also wonderful), Sara was in control the entire time. The photo timeline that she proposed made absolute sense with our wedding, and worked with us to make sure that it would be stress-free and compatible with what we wanted to do. She was so organized the whole day, making sure that all of the appropriate bridal party and family portraits that we wanted were taken. Everyone felt super relaxed while Sara took photos. She was also wonderful with kids, and did a fantastic job capturing all of the wedding day details. We absolutely loved the way that our wedding photos turned out. Sara gave us over 1000+ photos - they definitely captured our entire day the way that we were hoping it would, from the guests, the details, the dances, the food, and everything in between. It goes without saying that the composition and lighting were wonderful (for both indoor and outdoor photos), and all of our friends and families have absolutely raved about the photos and Sara. Throughout the process, Sara utilizes a great web system with questionnaires, and the photos that she delivers are easily accessible and organized in the cloud. It's really easy to download, share, and print them. Sara also provided several nice little touches from day one (we don't want to spoil all of the surprises) that were incredibly thoughtful. She also posted our photos on her blog and social media a few days after each event, which was great and allowed us to share a few photos before we got all of them. Finally, she was super flexible with us in terms of making sure that we maintained our privacy, and we cannot thank her enough for that. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sara, both professionally and personally.

I cannot speak highly enough of Wolfcrest, and especially Sara. We originally picked Wolfcrest because they had some experience at our venue, we liked their photographs, and they offered pricing packages that fit within our needs (including an engagement shoot so we could practice not looking awkward). My now-husband and I otherwise had very little idea of how to approach our wedding photography, and also had hectic work schedules that made it hard to devote a lot of time to wedding planning during normal hours. Sara was incredibly flexible and made it as easy as possible for us to make decisions, including presenting plans that we could easily adapt. On the day of the wedding, knowing that timing was going to be tight because of our winter wedding and separate church/reception locations, Sara offered to come earlier than our official start time and meet us at the salon where we were getting ready so that she could take photos of my accessories (and of us!) while we were doing hair/makeup. For the rest of the day, Sara and Carley, the second photographer who stepped in to help, seamlessly coordinated taking photos in the various locations my fiance and I were set up, kept us moving through portraits on schedule, ticked off everything on our list of things we wanted photographed, survived the incredible cold that descended on us in November, and did it all with smiles, laughter, and calming help. They made our day so easy, and we are so grateful for that. After the wedding, Sara did a meticulous job finalizing our photos. Both the blog post she put together and our final set (of SO MANY wonderful photos) were beautiful and captured so many of the things we loved about our wedding. Sara also sent us surprise packages at Christmas that contained prints of her favorite photos, very tasty and much appreciated treats, and an ornament that contained a picture of us that we could hang on our tree. From start to finish, Sara went above and beyond.

When you know you know. When Christopher and I first read Sara’s bio on her website we knew she was our kind of person. As a newly engaged couple coming down from the excitement of getting engaged and really getting into the weeds of planning a wedding let me offer you some advice, BOOK WOLFCREST PHOTOTGRAPHY! It is that simple! Sara is everything you want in a photographer. She is kind, has a great eye for light, rolls with unforeseen hiccups and can also command an unwieldy wedding party to grab the right shot. She was a dream to work with and Christopher and I could go on and on but one of the most amazing things is that your work speaks for itself. I cannot possibly put into words how amazing Sara was as our wedding photographer. I fell in love with her style at one of the local wedding expos and knew that I had to have her for my wedding! My husband is not at all big on taking photos...we had our engagement session with Sara and her husband about 3 months before our wedding and afterwards he said he felt 100% comfortable with her and didn't mind the photos one bit! On the day of the wedding Sara was phenominal! She was able to capture every photo we had wanted and more. I've already seen the sneak peak from our photos and I am blown away by the details she was able to capture. I am so glad that we invested in such an amazing photographer and cannot wait for the rest of the photos!

As a bride, one of your main concerns is making sure that all the big events are captured so that when you look at the pictures you feel the same joy you felt on the day of the event. Not knowing any photographers in the Fredericksburg area, I did a lot of research and interviews. Within minutes of meeting Sara I knew I had to have her as our photographer. Since she has a graphic design background, her ideas were creative and unique. She seemed to understand exactly the type of people my husband and I are and the things that were important to us. She has a fantastic variety of packages, but we wanted some additional services and she put a quote together and got back to us within the day. For the amount of services and products she offered, the price was also fantastic (even though we would have gone with her regardless)! Another important aspect, as everyone involved in a wedding knows, is that they are so stressful to plan! For someone like me, who does not have a creative bone in their body, planning a wedding was one of the largest challenges I have ever faced. Sara offered to help us with so many aspects of the wedding and we could not thank her enough. First, she did an amazing engagement photo session and had really awesome ideas during it. Then she worked with us to design and order our Save the Dates for us because, again, we are not creative. They were fantastic and we got so many compliments on them. She then designed and created our guestbook book out of our Engagement pictures, which we used at the wedding. Sara also designed our invitations and thank you cards, which we were in love with. Everything with her was so seamless and a perfect reflection of what we saw the products being like. One of the best things she did for us was acted as a day of coordinator for our wedding. She had a perfectly timed day planned and ensured we stayed on schedule. She captured all the important memories from the day and made sure she got pictures of our families throughout the day, knowing that would be important as well. Also, she brought digital picture frames to the reception so that pictures from the ceremony could scroll throughout the event. It was such an awesome touch! We plan to use Sara for every photography need we ever have, including family pictures and other big events. I really have no idea how I would have survived without her and, on top of being the nicest person, every product she makes it absolutely beautiful!
