he building itself is very pretty, and the perfect size for our 65 guest wedding. It has a lot of old building charm (being over 100 years old) so we didn't even feel the need to over decorate as the venue was already quite lovely on its own. We were also able to make use of the upstairs loft decorations stash, which saved us a ton of money on decor and Maria did an excellent job of getting tables set up, helping with decor, getting food set up and answering questions. We also had fairy lights put up around the room, which felt very cozy and pretty. We did need to DIY pretty much everything, but since that was what we were looking for it worked perfectly for us! We ended up not being able to use the outdoor lawn as originally planned due to rain, but were able to very easily move everything indoors and just had the ceremony and reception in the main room, and got to make a grand entrance down the stairs for the wedding procession which was very fun. Maria was very flexible with all the last-minute weather-related changes and was doing everything she could day of to help keep things running smoothly so that we had very little to worry about. The upstairs loft had enough space for us to get ready, with another small room downstairs available as well. Maria also let us into the building for about an hour the evening before to drop off decorations and do a rehearsal. The Davis Johnson park nearby was also perfectly located for us to pop over pre-ceremony for couple portraits with the photographer.

e helps with things like linen rentals, glassware, and even servers. They have an upstairs room with tons of leftover decorations for your use. Everything else you pretty much have to plan from the outside (food, camera, flowers, etc.)
The club steward has a lot of ideas and can be pushy if you’re not careful. Even when explaining exactly what I was trying to accomplish she kept trying to steer me towards what others had done before. She also kept insisting on doing certain details that I had to say no to multiple times, making it more stressful than it needed to be. We came to decorate the day prior and met with her to go over last minute details. Yet the day of my wedding she started texting me at 6:30am over small details that should’ve been handled the day prior when we met. She was late the day of the event and asked us to use a hidden key to let ourselves in. Finally the venue was dirty, the floors were not swept and the bathrooms had not been cleaned. If the steward wasn’t so pushy and the venue was cleaned it would’ve given it 5 out of 5. Stand your ground and ensure it’s clean if you’re going to use it.

Maria, who is the person in charge, helped us at every step of the way. We are truly thankful for all the assistance and support she provided us to prepare for our special day. Maria gave so much information and tips that allowed us to save money and time without missing any important details. On the wedding day, she, her husband and staff made sure everything went perfectly as planned. Everyone was impressed by her commitment, energy and professionalism. practical suggestions and helpful hints, and assisting in every way possible to make sure the party is a complete success. She worked tirelessly to get every detail "just right" and kept telling me to rest up for my party and guests. I can't imagine doing an affair anywhere else or with anyone else. She is a joy and delight to work with and I highly recommend this venue.

She was on hand the entire evening, and seemed to know what I needed before I did! It was because of Maria that I was able to secure my flower of choice!!! The weather smiled on us and we were able to have our ceremony outside in the lawn area at an arbor, and then move in to the charming building for the reception. There's also a cute patio area where the guests could take a break from the music. I knew I loved the Woman's Club from the moment I saw the pictures, and everything there after only reconfirmed my choice! I would absolutely recommend having your event here!!!

. The grounds are well manicured and we took some really nice family photos right there. Also Davis Johnson Gardens is located 5-10 minutes away where we took our portraits. Maria is super helpful and goes above and beyond to actively make your event run as smoothly as possible. She has a lot of decorations in the attic that you can borrow and use which is great. You do have to hire all the vendors and decorate some things yourself, but Maria is always there to help and problem solve. This was the perfect venue for us and our intimate wedding of 60 people! of wedding you want. With that said, keep in mind that the carriage house is old, so you will find TONS of charm, but not a ton of luxury. This is isn't faux-rustic/vintage, this is actually rustic/vintage. This is not a new hotel or banquet hall, so if you're looking for fanciness or anything state-of-the-art, you're barking up the wrong tree. This was exactly what we wanted, though, so we were not disappointed. The limit is 100 people, but I would suggest that if your party includes dancing, you limit it to 80. I got married here in August of 2015 and found Maria very responsive and helpful. I hired the caterers, the DJ, and my photographers from her suggestions, which probably made the event less stressful because the vendors were familiar with the rules and the space. I think the only downside to the venue is that it's located on a residential street and it's not totally secluded.
