Wood Acres Farms was the first wedding venue we toured and we booked it immediately without even bothering to tour any others! We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. We loved the rural location, the rustic vibes, and the amenities that came with the packages. We wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding that had a fun vibe without being too “stiff” or “stuffy” and Wood Acres Farms delivered! It was the perfect place for us to celebrate our marriage and have a great party without the banquet hall atmosphere that we were trying to avoid. We worked primarily with Taylor and Lisa who were amazing from start to finish. They worked incredibly close to us to answer our questions and organize for the big day. They were such a joy to work with. Lisa was our day of coordinator and I could not say enough about how helpful and organized she was. She was on top of everything the entire night to the point where even our guests noticed how good of a coordinator she was. From setting up our decor, to helping our photographer and other vendors get situated, managing all the little details throughout the night, helping guests, assisting us with making sure we were fed and had drinks throughout the night, to closing out the night she was able to handle it all with the appearance of ease. Guests were giving out compliments on the venue and its location all night, and it was the perfect setting for the fun wedding night we envisioned. We truly enjoyed our time on this beautiful property and could not say enough good things about it!

Nestled at the end of a quiet country road amid a peaceful 25 acres at the foot of the Litchfield Hills, our wooded trails, glinting ponds, sprawling lawns, and manicured gardens await. With photo opportunities at every turn, the bricked walkways lead guests through the courtyard and into the romantic garden for the outdoor ceremony. An extra-wide, wrap-around porch is the perfect place to mingle, enjoying a cocktail from the outdoor bar, while the gardens are marvelous for a bit of meandering during social hour.
The wide-plank timber floors of our Barn, paired with the stylishly decorated interior, create the perfect combination of elegance and warm country charm to showcase any wedding. With plentiful windows, two sets of French doors, and an abundance of natural light, spectacular views of the quaint countryside can be enjoyed while your guests dine. After the feast, the generous dance floor gives ample room for everyone to bust their best moves.
Our Barn is accented by both The Perch, a private plateau featuring the newlywed's table for two, as well as a loft lounge to enjoy a bird’s eye view of things, a great spot for your photographer to capture a candid of the crowd. A climate-controlled atmosphere gives optimal comfort in any season, and our indoor ceremony setting provides a lovely ‘Plan B’ should Mother Nature bring her showers.
Complimented with a private porch and courtyard garden, our quaint Cottage boasts skylight windows and soft accent lighting that provide a natural ambiance and relaxing atmosphere to prepare for a very special occasion. With a personal dressing room, full-length mirrors, hair and makeup stations, and a private powder room, the cottage is the ideal place for a day of wedding pampering. With direct access to the main barn, it provides the opportunity to pop in for a touch-up or to catch a quiet moment during the hustle and bustle of your wedding day. Both sweet and spacious, the cottage is just another special touch that keeps Wood Acres Farm standing out from the rest.
With the warmth of knotty wood, the Cave makes a perfect place for the men of the day to button up those final details of the big day. Space to spread out keeps everyone cool, calm, and collected during the final moments before the ceremony. Knowing the day is about celebrating TWO people, we love giving our couples their separate special spaces.
One of our friendly and knowledgeable event coordinators is always on site and happy to assist you, your wedding party, and your guests, as well as your chosen professional vendors. She will be an integral part of making the day of your dreams run smoothly.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and all our guests talked about how much they enjoyed the venue and how beautiful everything was. Additionally, being taken to your wedding in a horse and carriage is one the most magical experiences you could have as a bride. We loved the team there and would highly recommend wood acres to anyone looking for a wedding venue. and you feel like a part of the family. I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. I even worried early on that hiring outside caterers and bar tenders would be more annoying but their preferred vendor list is extensive and Michael's Catering and Janet's Catered Cocktails were so fantastic it was like they came with the venue! We heard all night from our guests that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to!!

ily. They are super flexible and allow you to bring in your own vendors/set up how you would like. They provide day-of coordination which is extremely helpful and not to mention, a horse & carriage ride!! You can either have a grand entrance and/or grand exit. It was a great touch because my husband and I got to have a few minutes of alone time right after the ceremony. We have been getting non-stop compliments on this venue, it really is something special so don't pass it up!

of the overall wedding, guests LOVED my enterance with a horse and carriage. The guests also really enjoyed carriage rides themselves - it was something very unique that typically is not offered at weddings. I really thought it was super special that right after the ceremony, the bride and groom get their own carriage ride - it was really nice to have that 10 mins or so to be by ourselves and let us soak in all the feelings and emotions. The venue is also set up nicely where a buffet can easily be done and having the ability to be up on the stage for the sweetheart table allowed us to have a really special view point and take it all in. The wrap-around porch is awesome to have guests hang out and get some beautiful pictures and we opted for a fire pit - it was just a little extra something that our guests could enjoy while also allowing our photographer to capture a really awesome night pict. I am so thrilled we chose WAF as our venue - not only did I have the horses like I wanted in my wedding but we also were able to provide a really unique and fun experience for everyone. It will absolutely be a day I will never forget and look back with so many fond memories.

utiful, and it lends itself to a lot of fun. Having the ceremony by the gazebo was fantastic and made for really beautiful pictures, and then our guests loved that they were able to head right over to the porch and start enjoying cocktail hour and hanging out instead of having to travel somewhere else for the reception. We had games out on the lawn during the cocktail hour (kanjam and cornhole), everyone loved hanging out on the porch and enjoying the nice weather, and the guests loved the carriage rides. We also took a carriage ride after the ceremony and it was really nice. It was so great to have a moment alone with my husband after the ceremony - champagne included! Everyone also commented how relaxed and unique the barn was. It definitely did not feel like a wedding factory and people really cut loose and had a great time. Joyce was very responsive and helpful in getting things together (which I especially appreciated since I live on the west coast and planned everything from afar) and Ann was a huge help on the actual day. We could not have been happier with our choice to have the wedding at Wood Acres!
