Wood Violet

Emily was our favorite vendor to work with when planning our wedding. She was so professional, responsive, and fun! We LOVED our flowers and got so many compliments from the flowers on the cake to corsages for the grandmothers. In addition, her staff was so helpful and friendly when setting up on our wedding day. Highly recommend!

I could not be happier with the flowers we got from Emily and Wood Violet. Emily took my dream vision and inspiration and made it real. I'm very laid back, not picky, but I did have a specific vision in mind. Emily totally nailed that. She is so kind and so friendly, so communicative and made everything super easy. She's so easy to work with (especially with covid crap). On wedding day, it's like she wasn't even there. She was doing her thing and by the time I saw the finished product on our arch, I was stunned. It was gorgeous. She is a true visionary and clearly loves what she does. Our bouquets were beautiful and lasted so long. The boutonnières were perfect, and the mom's wrist corsages were beautiful. Everything came together perfectly, and it was such a huge part of our day. The arch flowers were certainly the focal piece and I could not be happier!! Thank you Emily!!

Emily and her team were fantastic. They were so flexible and willing to work with us given COVID. While we were not able to meet in person before our wedding, Emily completely understood my vision. We ordered three buckets of flowers for a DIY arch and table decor as well as a bridal bouquet. Everything was beautiful and fresh. Can’t wait to work with Emily again whenever we’re able to have our full reception!

Working with Emily to plan the florals for my wedding day was SUCH an enjoyable experience! Emily is knowledgeable, experienced, and so professional! I came into my first meeting with Emily with a very specific vision in mind, but worried that since I lacked much floral knowledge, that she would have difficulty understanding what I was looking for. But throughout our meetings it become very clear to me that she saw my vision even more clearly than I did! On our wedding day, the florals were everything I could've dreamed of and more. We got so many compliments from all of our guests. I would recommend her to any bride in a heartbeat!

Emily and the Wood Violet team were recommended to us by our photographer. Drew and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality and creativity Wood Violet produced. The shop's eco-friendly practices by using locally grown flowers, no green foam, and composting scraps made our hearts sing. What's more, is that Emily listened to our ideas for an art deco and minimalist floral design for our wedding, and made it a reality. On our wedding day, huge monstera leaves adorned the corners of our chuppah (which Emily built, too, from copper pipe and organza), and giant palm and monstera leaves were accented by anemone, peony, and ranunculus in our arrangements indoors. Overall, our florals were something our guests had never seen before--they were completely unique. Emily and her team executed our vision perfectly.

Not only is Emily one of the most incredible humans on this Earth, SHE IS SO TALENTED! I am so, so, so pleased with everything she did for us. Not only did she absolutely knock it out of the park with our bouquets, she created an entire flower and vine chandelier for our reception venue. Yes, you read that correctly...A FLOWER CHANDELIER. Everything she did looked absolutely magical. She took took our input and vision and multiplied it by 1,000 and I could not be any more pleased with how everything turned out. Not to mention, she sourced everything locally and donated our leftover flowers to various homes and charities to brighten other peoples day once our wedding was over. I'm telling you, she's an amazing human. Bottom line, you will not regret working with Emily and the Wood Violet team.

Emily was amazing to work with through the whole wedding planning process through the wedding day. Her work is all beautiful and we received a ton of compliments regarding everything she did. She also helped us with a last minute request for our rehearsal dinner and made gorgeous centerpieces for that as well. We are so happy we found Wood Violet and used them, I would highly recommend!

Emily and her team did such an amazing job with our flowers for our wedding. She was friendly, professional, and easy to contact with any questions or concerns I had. She executed our requests exactly, and was able to give suggestions on other things that may work. My wife and I were beyond blown away by our bouquets, and the corsages and boutonnieres coordinated gorgeously.

When it came to our wedding flowers, my only guidelines were "a ton of green, minimal flowers, and natural," so basically we gave Emily, the owner and mastermind, a TON of guidance. I knew that my floral knowledge was limited, so I decided to leave it up to the experts. What she did with that was amazing. Tons of eucalyptus with some white roses for the bouquets. Simple centerpieces of wooden boxes with greenery and tea candles. Beautiful draped linens for a backdrop. Simple, neutral, and complementary to Schlitz Audubon Nature Center's existing beauty. I was completely blown away. Without giving much guidance, she completely nailed the look and feel we were going for. I could not have dreamed a more beautiful reception hall or ceremony decorations. Emma and Jenna, who set everything up for the ceremony and reception, were also phenomenal. We received so many compliments on the decor. I'm so, so glad that I chose Wood Violet for our wedding.

Working in the wedding industry for the last ten years and owning my own event company meant I knew exactly what I wanted in a florist. Emily is a local powerhouse, boss babe who created a business quite literally from the ground up. Wood Violet is eco-friendly and their preferred medium is locally grown flowers and foliage with a loose, natural, garden-y, a little messy, lush and bountiful style. Um, we were was SOLD. Their website boasts they are not fans of rules or convention and that's exactly the aesthetic we were looking for. Our planning meetings with Emily were a blast. She understood our dark, slightly gothic/rock & roll, boho style from the jump and ran with it. She sourced beautiful black velvet for our bouquets. She found unique vessels for the mixed foliage and plants around the venue. She custom built an incredible copper pipe piece that floated above our head table, dripped in insanely beautiful greenery. WHATTTTTT. The bouquets were out of this world. Emily and her team went above and beyond for us. Way beyond. We had a flip from the ceremony to the reception and the Wood Violet team literally made it all happen. They came back at the end of the night to collect rentals so we didn't have to worry about any of it. Seriously, guys, I provided probably the most laid-back, "meh whatever you want to do" direction to Emily and I got magic. MAGIC, I TELL YOU. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Emily. Forever grateful for the beauty we were surrounded by on the most incredible day of our lives. Wood Violet is what's up, y'all!

Emily was amazing! We were a little nervous going with someone who doesn't know up front what flowers will be in season and available for our wedding date, but she more than delivered. We loved the flowers that she picked to fit within our color scheme. We came in with minimal ideas and she helped us bring our vision to life. She even worked with our family to add personal touches to the bridal bouquet. We loved working with her and her laid back personality. She was a very calming presence for last few stressful months of wedding planning. We would highly recommend Wood Violet!

Emily is AMAZING! I had no idea what I wanted for centerpieces at my wedding, but she worked with my budget to create simple (but BEAUTIFUL) centerpieces for me and I was able to rent everything through her. Her flowers are absolutely gorgeous, and she was so wonderful to work with. Extremely easy-going and flexible, and was willing to meet with me in person anytime to discuss details. I'd give her more than 5 stars if I could and I'd recommend her to anyone! :)

Wood Violet is absolutely incredible! The flowers are the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen, in nature or at weddings! And Emily was so great to work with, truly a pleasure! I loved working with Emily and was very pleased with the way our wedding flowers turned out. I am glad that we were able to find someone with such great vision because Emily did a great job and made the atmosphere look so fresh and beautiful. She was a great listener and followed through with all of my requests. I loved that we could use all locally grown flowers as well.

A wonderful florist!! Emily was very flexible, creative, and professional. I know nothing about flowers so I just told her our wedding colors. She came up with fantastic bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. She threw in some extra boutonnieres just in case we ended up needing more, and she even helped the guys pin them on. Overall a great vendor!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED working with Emily! She worked with us to figure out what our style was and went above and beyond to make our wedding special! She made arrangements for our rehearsal and wedding and even made me 2 special flower crowns to wear in lieu of a veil, that lasted all night, even through dancing! We would not hesitate to recommend her for any event!

Emily is AMAZING! My wedding flowers were beautiful and I got so many compliments about them. I was a little hesitant because I didn't know what they would look like until they were delivered on the big day. I was not disappointed, and in fact she exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to use Emily and Wood Violet for all my floral event needs.

The flowers we received from Wood Violet may have been my favorite aspect of our reception; we ordered 5 buckets of seasonal wildflowers, and had a flower arranging "party" the day before to assemble them into mason jars. The flowers were absolutely GORGEOUS. They were exactly what we had envisioned; fresh, local, beautiful and fragrant. We also spent a lot less on flowers by going "DIY" than if we had gone for a traditional floral package, and the result was better than we could have hoped for. My mom/aunt/cousin and I are not professional floral designers, but the quality of the flowers we received was so high that the final product came out looking like we were pros! Can't say enough good things about Wood Violet.
