We prepare seasonal, thin crust sourdough pizza with Vermont wheat and local farm ingredients (organic whenever possible).
We are able to provide bar service in VT with full liquor bars, natural wine selections, draft beer and everything in between. Our cuisine is Italian and Mediterranean inspired, but includes global influences.

We hired the Woodbelly team to cater our wedding at the iconic Sleepy Hollow Farm in Woodstock, VT. As soon as my fiance and I walked into the Woodbelly shop for our tasting in Montpelier, we almost immediately knew we would want to work with them this summer. BLM artwork litters the walls, there's a sign that says "trans people eat free" under the register and Hailey greets you with the warmest smile from behind the counter!
Then...we tried the food. Nothing could have prepared us for how absolutely delicious everything was! And its not just their pizza thats mind-blowing, so are their vegetarian and chicken dishes. Hailey's service was wonderful, she (and her sweet daugther!) even did a site visit before the wedding to give us advice on where her team should set up, and what makes the most sense for rental planning. She was extremely accommodating to our vegan diet, as well and provided gluten-free alternatives for our guests. My parents mentioned "faine" aka "farinata," because we eat that with our pizza in our home-country of Argentina, and Hailey offered to learn the recipe and make it for us at the wedding. Thats how thoughtful she is!

My son and his fiancée had wanted pizza for their rehearsal dinner which was to be held at Camp Thorpe in Goshen, VT. Very rural. So happy we ended up with Woodbelly. Have pizza oven will travel! Hailey was really easy to work with and helped us come up with a simple menu that fit the vision for the rehearsal dinner and our budget. Jack and team were friendly and good pizza chefs. They really were able to read the crowd and make sure there was always hot pizza being put out. No waiting in lines for one pie at a time. Such a variety of meat and vegetable options. Loved everyone I tried. They would custom make them but we just let them be creative. Everyone who attend has continued to rave about the pizza.
The side salad with the maple vinaigrette was a nice compliment to the pizzas.
Hope I have another opportunity to work with them again.

Woodbelly was the best! They were wonderful to work with, responsive, creative, and friendly. Their food was delicious and the pizza is a must have for late night or as an addition to their wood fired oven where they cooked chicken thighs and brisket! They had just experienced historic flooding in their area the week of our wedding, and they showed up and made our dreams come true despite what they were going through. Hailey was top notch to work with and I would hire them again in an instant!

Woodbelly was such an easy catering company to work with for our wedding. They were all very responsive and helpful! Scott helped us when finalizing our menu and we cannot thank him enough. We were looking for a particular champagne and he found the next best one for us! The food was delicious and all of our guests raved about it. I absolutely love how every pizza was different with seasonal vegetables and local products on each. Whether you are looking to cater a wedding or enjoy pizza night with the family, Woodbelly is the perfect place.
Woodbelly Pizza catered our wedding party this past weekend and we couldn't have been happier! Everything went super smoothly and the food was truly special and delicious! I originally booked them in 2019 but had to change dates twice due to the pandemic and they were super patient and communicative as I changed my mind 1,000 times. It was really fun to have the wood oven going during the party and all the creative toppings made it an adventure. All of our guests loved it and were impressed at how quickly they were able to keep the food coming all night! The people from Woodbelly were calm and cool, a great addition to the party, and I feel so lucky to have them been a part of the celebration!
We hired Woodbelly Pizza for our wedding welcome party at the Trailside Inn on July 1. During the planning process, the manager Scott was SO responsive and helpful. He answered emails promptly and accommodated changes to our order quickly, offering different items based on our guest count and needs.
We got the charcuterie, pizza and ice cream bar for our 80 or so guests. Not only was the food delicious, the staff was amazing. Woodbelly sent three members of their team for our event, who were all wonderful - not only professional, but friendly and FUN. My husband and I really appreciated that they made sure our pizza came out first and we ate (I was talking to so many guests, honestly, I’m glad they did this!) At one point in the evening, staff even joined in on our lawn games, just a super fun group. They truly were the best, if you get an opportunity to hire them for your wedding or rehearsal dinner, highly recommend!
I attended a wedding of 200 guests and Woodbelly was putting out about 2 pizzas every hour. Not everyone ate and it was ridiculous. Their one oven cannot handle a big crowd, especially if its windy or rainy. Not worth the gamble! Pizza Papillo is WAY better.
Woodbelly would be a great company to hire for a rehearsal dinner or casual dinner event. I would not recommend them for a full wedding catering. Their food is delicious but they missed the mark in communication and presentation on day of. They charged a large amount for a charcuterie board that was very lack luster in presentation and size. What was discussed in pre-planning discussions did not come to life in on our wedding day. I loved supporting a small business and hired and loved all of the other local small businesses hired for my wedding. I thought a lot about writing this review but feel it is important to let others know of my experience so they do not feel disappointed in their wedding catering decision for their big, important day like we did.
Woodbelly Catering was top of the line!! We tried their pizza a few years ago and fell in love. We were so excited to have them cater our dream wedding! All of the guests were thrilled to have pizza as their entrée (as most weddings have the other traditional offerings). They were clean, efficient and friendly. Top notch appetizers (they were so good I didn't even get to try any as they were eaten so quickly!). The pizza was amazing and they kept them coming all night long! It was a great option to be able to eat, dance and then go back for some more pizza when guests got hungry! I would definitely recommend Woodbelly to anyone planning a wedding in Vermont. Book them! You won't be disappointed!

Woodbelly catered our rehearsal dinner and it was incredible! The salad was super delicious and everyone raved about how great the pizza was. They were great to work with and very flexible when I made a mistake with the time I told them and the time I told our guests. We highly recommend them for any catering services you might need!

Cannot recommend Woodbelly highly enough. All of our guests raved about the food, especially the appetizers, desserts, and late night snacks. Pizza and salads for dinner were so fresh and delicious. Everything was great.
Bar service was also fantastic. They mixed up some specialty cocktails and provided a variety of beers, ciders, and wine on tap. It was very important to us that bar lines be kept to a minimum, and Woodbelly took great care of us on this front.
David and the Woodbelly team are a true pleasure to work with. They were very responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process. David spoke with us multiple times and provided great guidance and recommendations as we made adjustments to our quote based on our party size, budget, and preferences.
Overall we were blown away by how great everything turned out. Big thank you to the Woodbelly team!

We chose Woodbelly to cater our wedding (both appetizers and dinner) and provide the bar service and we couldn’t be happier. The charcuterie and items provided for the happy hour were so tasty. Our guests were super pleased and they were just rich enough to stay satisfied until dinner. The bar options showcased Vermont’s great beers as well as tasty wines. Dinner service was timely and so delicious. All night long the service was fantastic and all staff supremely friendly and quick. Additionally, Woodbelly was great to work with in planning leading up, too. We really recommend working with Woodbelly for your wedding and/or rehearsal!

Woodbelly pizza did a fantastic job of of providing pizzas, appetizers and alcohol for our wedding. We didn’t get much of their appetizers but their sourdough pizza is to die for. Woodbelly showed up one time and their catering team executed everything perfectly. They were very friendly and our guests could not believe the pizza was being made right in the parking lot of the Trailside Inn. The choice of pizza toppings were great and included a wide variety that made for some interesting pizza combinations. Thank you Woodbelly for a fantastic food spread at the wedding, who would have thought food trucks for a wedding would be such a hit.

Woodbelly Pizza catered our wedding at a privately-owned barn in New Haven, VT on September 8, 2018 (75 people) and it was simply perfect. Owner David Huck was our point person and a pleasure to work with—very low key, always very accommodating, and he delivered exactly what we asked for. The food was amazing from the appetizers and salads to the gourmet custom pizza. We have heard from so many people who attended how good everything was. The bartender, pizza oven chef and serving staff were all fantastic as well—friendly and everything ran like clock work. We highly recommend Woodbelly—quality food and excellent service!

From my first contact with Woodbelly to the time of the event David and his team we really great. They were very helpful in planning the food, working with my budget and responsive to my requests. They took away any stress I had about the food factor of the wedding day. I was happy to know that they sourced their ingredients locally and they were accommodating to a few special requests The young women preparing and baking were wonderful, friendly and really on it. The pizza was awesome and many of the guest said how good it was and asked about Woodbelly. It was a wonderful day partly due to the great food! Working with Woodbelly was an absolute pleasure. We decided to have pizza at our wedding because we love it and we weren't keen on the typical "meat or fish" dinner selections. Woodbelly's pizza is delicious (sourdough crust!) and we chose other dishes from their wood-fired oven (brisket and chicken), side salads, and a selection of passed appetizers. They were so receptive to our preferences, made sure to accommodate a large number of vegetarian/vegan guests, and brought separate, gluten-free meals for two guests with Celiac's. Woodbelly also handled our bar service; we loved their selection of wine, beer, and cider, and they made two not-so-simple signature cocktails (per recipes from my husband) to perfection. Despite the craziness of wedding planning, the whole process with Woodbelly felt very relaxed, thanks to their lead chef David and team; conversations with them were just like hanging out with really cool friends. Everything on the day was seamlessly executed from setup to cleanup, and guests told us how much they loved the meal all night long. Great prices, great food, and the best people.

We had the pleasure of working with Woodbelly when they catered our wedding this past September. David and his crew are well organized, friendly, easy to work with, and incredibly knowledgeable/helpful with planning. Our wedding had about 90 guests and we heard rave reviews about the food from everyone. In fact, we had numerous guests ask us how we found Woodbelly and where they could go to enjoy more of their food. It is our opinion that Woodbelly has some of the best pizza Vermont has to offer, and one of our only regrets for our wedding day was that we didn’t get to eat more of the appetizers since everyone was talking about how good they were. Even my family from NY and CT was impressed with how good the food was, and I think everyone knows how good NYC and New Haven pizza is! Woodbelly was also able to offer bar services so we did not have to worry about finding a separate company to handle alcohol. At the end of the night, they bused tables and cleaned up very well. If you are planning on having a wedding or event soon, you would be very mistaken to pass up on this company. We would not hesitate to use Woodbelly again for any event, and we are very thankful to have had them be part of our wedding.
Woodbelly is the absolute greatest. We had them do the catering and bartending for our wedding and feel SO lucky we found them. For one thing, anything they touch is delicious. They have the utmost respect and appreciation for high-quality ingredients, and it shows in everything they do, from the pizza toppings to their wine and beer list. We’re still getting rave reviews from our guests about it - many asked where they could find Woodbelly Pizza in the future!
David and Molly were also wonderful in the months leading up to the wedding. We exchanged countless emails with them and they were so, so helpful with handling all the logistics (including guest allergies). Their team on the day-of was fantastic too - so friendly and they were super quick and flexible in dealing with the rain outside. All in all, we couldn’t be happier with Woodbelly - we’d hire them again in a heartbeat! Our only regret is that we didn’t eat more pizza that day, it really is amazing.

We love Woodbelly pizza, and it's always our first stop at the Montpelier and Stowe farmer's markets. We had them at our wedding after party in Stowe this past September, and it was just amazing and the perfect way to cap off the happiest day of our lives! We used Woodbelly for our September wedding at The West Monitor Barn and it could not have gone better! It was the perfect setting for the pizza oven and our guests loved watching the pizzas come out of the oven during cocktail hour. We chose woodfired pizza for our wedding because A. we love it and B. we've been to tons of weddings with salmon and chicken options and the meals are never memorable yet they are extremely overpriced. With Woodbelly we were able to get an amazing gourmet dinner and appetizers for a great price! Our guests raved about the cheeses at cocktail hour and we heard from tons of people the next day on how much they loved the pizza! David was extremely easy to work with and was able to feed all of our guests with allergy's as well. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly and willing to help with other catering tasks as well (cake cutting, clean up, etc.). We loved the variety of pizzas and especially the fresh local ingredients. We would highly recommend Woodbelly!
We cannot say enough good things about Woodbelly, and how amazing they were catering our wedding. David was very easy to work with and extremely responsive to our requests prior to our wedding. He was very accommodating with guest dietary restrictions, and came up with a delicious, locally-and seasonally-inspired variety of pizza toppings. He was even able to accommodate our last-minute request for stationary appetizers.
Woodbelly also did the bar for our wedding, and provided a wonderful assortment of local beers, along with a very popular soda bar and wines that pleased our guests. The food was delicious, and very reasonable in cost. The service was excellent and efficient. We cannot recommend this caterer enough!
We would highly recommend Woodbelly Pizza! They catered our rehearsal dinner, and their pizza, appetizers, and ice cream were all super delicious. Although there is an unavoidable bottle-neck issue that can occur when you are trying to feed 200 people at once with one pizza oven, in the end they caught up to people's bellies and no one minded because everything was SO GOOD. I can't tell you how many people came up to us and commented on how fun/unique/delicious it was. A huge hit. We also loved that they source all of their ingredients locally and that they will take back and compost all the waste! In addition, they were extremely flexible in providing alternative options for guests with dietary restrictions (including very safe gluten free options which was critical for us), and overall were extremely nice and easy to work with. Overall we were very happy to have chosen them and would gladly use them again! Thank you!
We used Woodbelly for our Wedding in Burlington, VT this summer and they were absolutely fantastic! At first I was a little nervous about the price but it was definitely worth it! People raved about the pizza a week after the wedding! It was so fresh and delicious and it came out of the oven so fast. Throughout the whole process, Dave was super friendly and made sure to take note of all the food allergies and food restrictions we had which was obviously extremely important. The whole crew was very friendly at the wedding as well... we seriously could not be more thankful for Woodbelly!
Woodbelly's food is as good as they make it sound. Real food from local farms and it's all prepared right in front of you. We asked them to bring extra servers and that really helped it goo smoothly. They did a great job with side salads, cheese and a few other appetizers. Even though the pizza is cheap, don't think you can get away without ordering more food. Plus, it's so good it's hard to pass up. We were getting compliments months after the wedding... "Best food ever!"
This company was great for the unique casual rehearsal dinner we were looking for on site. The chef's were a little slow to start but made up for it with the amazing cuisine... fresh home made pizza right off the wood burning oven next to our outdoor dining tables. They fed 60 people until they were full!
