Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs

nn Grant at Bellagala, the Woodland Glasshaus (WG) team, and the staff of D'Amicos all made for a smooth planning process. Ann kept us well apprized of the various updates at the developing venue through regular meetings, emails, and phone calls, as did the WG staff. We also had the opportunity to taste some of the delicious food selection choices by D'Amicos. Plenty of thoughtful planning and it all came together beautifully! On the day of our wedding the entire Woodland Glasshaus team was very helpful and professional in making sure things ran smoothly. It was quite warm at the early start of our ceremony (5pm) but the staff was responsive to assist as they were able to do so. The weather soon cooled and made for an absolutely gorgeous evening. Our guests raved not only about the setting but about the food D'Amicos served, and the fun, memorable night we all enjoyed! As might be expected, following the first year of being open, certain recognitions have been made to enhance the wedding experience at the venue even more. We visited the site recently, as we're approaching our first anniversary, and we noticed that retractable sunshades have now been added to the rooftop to help with those sunny, warm, early evenings. We also felt the wedding party's changing room could have been made a little more comfortable and private. In particular, the bride's area was a bit small and not very private. That said, on our recent visit we noticed they've also worked to address that with some new furniture additions. It is clear, the staff at Woodland Glasshaus wants to continue to make your special event experience the best they can! We would definitely recommend the Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs. It is an incredibly magical setting in the woods and was a true pleasure for us and all of our guests to have experienced. It was a day we'll always cherish.

ns, creating a casual atmosphere. We were quite surprised to see the food set up as a buffet. The food selection was not conducive to a buffet style service. Needless to say we have never been so embarrassed to discover there was no food left for us and a number of our guests, we had calculated for 25 more guests than planned. When we questioned the situation, we were told “you got what you paid for”, with no other options offered. We have now paid for 3 weddings, we have never been so poorly treated. The quality of the appetizers served were, well, you should be ashamed. The pizzas were awful and served in a heap. There seemed to be no sense of accountability for the evening from the Glasshaus or D’Amicos. Our son and daughter-in-law, and guests, had a wonderful time in spite of the issues that occurred. We will agree it is a beautiful venue but so unfortunate that the food and catering were so far below expectations. We hope this review serves as a caution when booking your event.
