Jon is the muscle behind our coordination and the voice behind the ceremony. He is the calm in the chaos, the one lifting tables when the rental company forgets, and the steady presence guiding you through your vows. As an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church and a licensed officiant in the state of Maine, Jon brings a grounded, thoughtful energy to every wedding he is part of. He believes a ceremony should be heartfelt, meaningful, and never feel like a formality. Whether you want something traditional, funny, emotional, or completely your own, Jon delivers it with sincerity and care. He works closely with each couple to understand their story and bring it to life in a way that feels honest and true. He is known for making people laugh, cry, and say “that was so us” — sometimes all in the same breath. He has only cried once while officiating, and he swears it was just allergies. When he is not writing ceremonies or fixing a timeline on the fly, Jon is loading the car with signs, adjusting boutonnières, and giving pep talks to nervous dads. For starters, Meg and Jon were consummate professionals, extraordinarily responsive, and readily demonstrated the communication skills needed to pin-down a somewhat-difficult group of vendors. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, we had a multitude of unanticipated stressors, and Meg and Jon immediately stepped in to shield us from as much of that stress as possible. Their experience, saviness, and good-nature allowed us to trust them implicitly and step back from some of the difficult situations we were handling. When it came to the day-of, they made our dream wedding a reality. Again, their experience, organization, and problem solving abilities allowed the day to flow seamlessly. We really can’t say enough good things about Woodland Weddings. Our only regret is not hiring them sooner!

They didn't just offer generic packages; they listened to what mattered to us and tailored their support to ensure we could soak up every second of our wedding. On the big day, they were flawless. They provided necessary structure for the things we planned, but more importantly, they proactively handled details we hadn't even thought of—solving problems before we even knew they existed. We panic-hired Woodland Weddings as our day of coordinator a week and a half before our wedding... and thank GOD we did. Not only would our wedding have been absolute chaos without...

them, it actually went better than we could have imagined with them. They helped us coordinate our day of schedule, sharing really valuable insight as to how to make the evening run flawlessly. They touched base with all of our vendors and coordinated drop offs, pick ups, start times, etc. - far beyond what I could do or could think of to do myself. Additionally, on the day of the ceremony (actually like 30 minutes before the ceremony), we realized that the dock where we were having our ceremony didn't *actually* have power serving it (for the mic & ceremony music). They made quick action reaching out to the police on duty, who set it up without delaying our 4:30 start time. I'm sure there were many other behind-the-scenes hiccups that they encountered, ones that I'm not even aware of. They were professional, on top of things, and executed my vision perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone!!

She handled setup, checked in with every vendor, kept the timeline on track, and made sure everyone knew where they were supposed to be. Every time I looked around, she was already two steps ahead of anything we needed. I did not have to answer a single question or solve a single issue because she had it all under control. Jon, who is also with Woodland Weddings, was our officiant and made the ceremony so special. He really took the time to get to know us and created something that felt completely personal and genuine.
