Stephen and Janelle are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your day exactly what you've dreamed of — and more. From the moment we toured the venue, we felt like we were in good hands. Every question we had was answered with care, and every detail was handled thoughtfully and professionally. We received so many compliments from our guests, not only on the beautiful setting but also on how welcoming and special everything felt. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that feels personal, romantic, and surrounded by unmatched natural beauty, Woodlands is it. We feel so lucky to have found it, and even luckier to have been able to celebrate the start of our marriage there. Additionally, hiring Tory, the in house planner, was truly the best decision we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she brought such a sense of calm and reassurance to the planning process. I never felt overwhelmed with her by my side — she was always steady, thoughtful, and incredibly organized. What really stood out was her honesty and transparency; she helped us understand which areas were worth investing in and where we could save, and I always felt confident in her guidance. On the wedding day itself, she was nothing short of amazing. Everything ran so smoothly that my husband and I were able to be fully present and actually enjoy every moment — something I know wouldn’t have been possible without her. She made sure we were always her priority, and I felt so cared for the entire day.

When we started looking for venues at the end of 2023, we knew we wanted a place that would let us pick our own vendors and was pretty much a blank canvas for us to decorate and make it feel like us. The Woodlands was just that and MORE. Little did we know we would meet the sweetest owners (Janelle and Stephen) and planner (Tory) who would make our dream wedding day come true. From start to finish on Saturday, August 16th, we both felt calm and prepared because of the organization and preparation from the Woodlands team. There was never one moment where we felt like either of us or our families were wondering what was going on/if everything was okay/if we needed to do anything. We truly got to enjoy the ENTIRE day and night because they made us feel so comfortable and at ease. We keep telling people "we knew it would be perfect, but it turned out MORE perfect than we thought possible." I will recommend the Woodlands to anybody and everybody I talk to. There is not one thing we would change about our day and I wish everybody would get to experience a wedding day like ours - and I think it's safe to say the Woodlands might be the only place where that can happen. Janelle and Stephen, you have fostered a venue unlike any other and we are so, so grateful for you and the Woodlands.

o wanted to make sure our investment was going to the right people. Stephen & Janelle (Woodlands owners) and Tory Brown (Woodlands wedding coordinator) are some of the most incredible people you will meet in the wedding industry. They were down-to-earth, accommodating, inclusive, so efficient and level-headed, and made you feel like you were being welcomed into their home. Our day delivered CO's finest mix of weather, including fog, rain, hail, thunder, and lightning, but the Woodlands team never skipped a beat managing the weather's chaos and keeping the guests and us safe and completely unaware of the amount of work they were doing behind the scenes. The venue is beautifully maintained, consistently upgraded (e.g. greenhouse, new bar, new lounge area, covered patio for cocktail hour, etc.), and had a feel of class and comfort that can't be matched. There's ample space for a large wedding party in both the bridal cottage and the groom room. The vendors they suggest partnering with help you narrow your focus of planning, while instilling immense confidence in the quality of service you will receive. This space and the folks who run Woodlands are top notch, and our wedding was beyond my dreams because of this crew! I only wish I could come back every year to relive it!

re immediately welcoming, and the location couldn't be better. We had 175 guests, nearly everyone from out of state, and they all raved about Woodlands. Our November wedding threatened to be snowy, but I felt completely assured that no matter what weather came our way, Stephen and Janelle would handle it flawlessly. Part of that comes down to their vendors. At first we thought it was a little odd that they had a few vendor requirements, but I promise you it's worth it! They work so well together and the vetting process ensured superb quality. Choosing Woodlands for our venue really set the stage for our entire day and I couldn't image it any other way! tar review! We absolutely loved the space since we first laid eyes on it! Both my husband and I loved the mountain feel without. being too far from Denver! His family is all local and my family is from out of state so the fact that it is located within 30 mins of downtown Denver was spectacular! Our initial venue (just outside of Steamboat Springs) fell through a few months beforehand and we reached out to Stephen and Janelle as to their availability for the rest of 2023! We came and looked at the venue and met with Stephen and fell in love and managed to snag their last available date for the year! A little later than we had hoped, but still super lucky nonetheless and it honestly ended up being so perfect! The venue itself is gorgeous! White with black accents, a total stunner of a modern barn with gorgeous backdrop to boot! The outside ceremony space was exactly what we were looking for and with a mid November date I had my fingers crossed for an outdoor ceremony celebrating all the beauty that is Colorado! They are easily able to accommodate inclement weather by quickly moving the ceremony inside, yet we lucked out with gorgeous weather and thankfully didn't have to do that! The side heated patio was perfect for cocktail hour while we finished photos and getting the rest of the reception area set up! The inside is simple, and classic and really makes all your decor pop! My husband and his groomsmen and sons and dad and FIL all loved the onsite room to get ready in complete with pool table and TV. They enjoyed the space to its fullest! Us girls loved the bridal suite just off to the right of the venue where we had plenty of space to get ready and get touched up in! It made for fantastic first look photos with my Dad and then my husband and down below in the lavender field our wedding party photos! Everywhere you turn Stephen and Janelle have curated such a wonderful property for such a momentous occasion such as a wedding! Working with their preferred list of vendors was easy breezy and we had plenty of wonderful options to choose from! The day felt effortless, thanks to our day of coordinator (Natalie @ Touch of Bliss Events) and I remember EXACTLY how wonderful and lucky and happy I was right as the doors opened to walk down the aisle. Everything felt so perfect and so much of that is to both Stephen and Janelle and their Woodlands venue! Communication was super effortless with them and they were so quick to answer questions and concerns of mine and we so accommodating to show us the property last minute! Our last run through with Touch of Bliss and Janelle with Woodlands really eased all of my concerns as well. It gave me the peace of mind that our big day was going to go off without a hitch! Everything was perfect. And if it wasn't, I was too busy having the time of my life to notice! Woodlands is top tier and they only keep getting better and better! I noticed they are updating their bar area and the added beauty and charm of their new greenhouse is just wonderful! I can only imagine how wonderful this property and venue becomes after a few more years! Bravo! 5 Stars! Thank you Stephen and Janelle, for making our day so momentous!

Everything about our wedding was perfect, thanks in a large part to the fantastic vendor relationships Woodlands has with so many other wedding venues in the Denver area. We truly felt like we were being welcomed into the Woodlands family and that our big day was the most important event of the year. Our wedding went so smoothly and we were so impressed with the team's ability to keep everything running and execute our timeline to perfection. Our guests all LOVED the venue and had nothing but amazing things to say about their experiences. I wish I could get married every year just so I could do it at Woodlands over and over again!

h a breath of fresh air. Wedding planning is stressful, and picking your venue is one of the biggest decisions you make. They both are just so calm and so warm, we walked into our tour and immediately felt at home. They've also set up such an incredible roster of vendors - I genuinely think all of our vendors love working at Woodlands, and it really showed that they were happy and comfortable there. We had legitimately 0 issues / surprises on the day (unheard of!), and that is such a testament to the culture that Woodlands has built. I would 1000% choose Woodlands again - it was so stunning, all of our guests raved about it, it's so easy to get to from Denver (huge perk for our out of town guests), and the process was so seamless.

but the inside is designed perfectly for any guest size, dancing & fun. The location is breathtaking. All of our guests couldn't say enough kind words on how it was the best venue they have been to. I am still in awe when I think about that day. Truly so special! Stephen & Janelle are absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with. They made every decision and detail possible. It's hard to find venues that let you make decisions or choose vendors to make your day feel unique and special and they do just that. Couldn't have asked for a better venue and couple to work with. e. We also worked with the in-house coordinator at Woodlands, Tory Brown, who was absolutely exceptional! Cannot recommend this venue and Tory enough! Our wedding day was magical and went so smoothy, and much of this is due to the venue! It is a beautiful setting that allows you to get beautiful mountain and tree views while only being 30 minutes from Denver. The space is conducive to a great flow of events between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception with incredible views at every location. Not to mention the swanky Groom Room and the stunning bridal suite on site! We had 160 people at our wedding, and the space was perfect for that without feeling either too large or too small. Communication with Janelle and Stephen was excellent, and the whole process went without a hitch. They make it feel personal yet professional at the same time and genuinely care about making your day special. Lastly, if you’re doing your wedding here I cannot recommend hiring Tory Brown as your wedding coordinator! She knows the venue and vendors so well and was absolutely essential in making our day so great! Our experience could not have been better!

Our wedding was Filipino-Italian mix with a couple of out of town vendors (P/V, emcee) and with all the small details that we wanted, they were accommodating. The place is beautiful and all our guests, mostly out of towners, fell in love with it easily. Above all, they are honest people - and that made our consumer-vendor relationship and my wedding planning so smooth and less stressful. Thank you guys!

e Woodlands was probably the easiest decision we made for our wedding. Janelle and Stephen are the absolute sweetest people and make you feel like you are at home. We never felt like it was “just another wedding” to them which meant a lot to us. The venue and views speak for themselves. It's absolutely breathtaking out there! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue and the owners.

o the amazing vendors I chose, the owners (Stephen and Janelle), and the beautiful facility, we were able to enjoy our day and still have a stunning wedding ceremony inside. They kept the barn doors open and everyone could see the mist over the mountains outside and oh my gosh it was so dreamy! Stephen and Janelle were so easy to work with and were always ready to answer any questions I had for them right away throughout the entire process. They are just the owners, but you can tell they love their job with how involved they were with everything. If you are hesitant to book, stop hesitating and just book! SO thankful we booked this venue for so many reasons :)

On our special day, they exceeded our expectations by being steps ahead at every turn. Despite the challenging weather with gusts nearing 50mph, they had not just one, but several backup plans ready before we even arrived. Luckily, we were able to proceed with our ceremony outdoors, and the wind added a touch of magic to the breathtaking photos captured in their stunning venue. Words cannot do justice to convey our immense gratitude and appreciation for the Woodlands. If only we could relive that day over and over again!
