Planning a wedding during COVID in another state is not one that I ever want to do again, and, I couldn't have done it without Jálie! They recommended Alexa among a few other photographers and I couldn't be happier with our choice! Not only did we love the photos she took, but she was also incredibly professional, responsive and organized. We got a sneak peek within a week of our wedding. Her shots were artistic without being cheesy. Alexa captured detailed moments that nobody saw and I am so grateful that we had such trust in someone like Alexa on such an important day.

Alexa is an AMAZING human being. We used her for our engagement photos and our wedding day photos. She stuck by us when we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and she worked with us to make sure she was available for our new date. She is so talented and just a great person to work with. For someone who hates getting her photo taken, Alexa makes you feel extremely comfortable and makes sure you have fun with the process. We loved that she was prepared and organized for our engagement and wedding day photos. She always has a game plan and gives you really clear directions. Her turnaround time for photos is so quick! What is the one thing that remains after your wedding is over? Hopefully not a hangover but definitely your photos. When I started planning my wedding I was most focused on finding a photographer who had a style that suited us because these photos would be forever. I found Alexa (Woodmancy Photography) through Instagram and instantly fell in love with her photography and editing style. Over the almost 2-year wedding planning process Alexa has been there through every change and COVID cancellation with only massive support for us. We really tested her (4 plans, 3 venues across 2 states) but she came through every time! Alexa was always in constant communication with us whether it was phone calls from 2000 miles away or her coming out to location scout the month before the wedding. She has a way of putting her couples at ease in front of the camera (we both hate being photographed) and she captured so many small moments and details that we would have otherwise missed from our wedding day. One of my favorite things was that she stole us away after dinner for a mini shoot during golden hour and those photos turned out being our absolute favorites! She got our wedding gallery to us in record time and HOLY SMOKES! First off, I had no idea we were going to get THAT MANY photos. And every single one of them is STUNNING! We can hardly decide which to put in our wedding album and I want like 100 of them printed for our mantle. Alexa is incredibly easy going, professional, fun and her eye is impeccable! Alexa is fantastic! Because of the pandemic, we postponed our big wedding and had a small elopement ceremony. We were lucky enough to have Alexa photograph both our weddings in addition to our engagement photos. She knows exactly how to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, creates BEAUTIFUL photos and is such a joy to work with! Plus, she got us our extensive sneak peek within a week of our wedding day (both times)! She's amazing and my husband and I would both absolutely recommend her.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Alexa is! We booked her for our July 2020 wedding and loved her from the start. Not only was her portfolio amazing but she is the sweetest human you will ever meet. We, along with every other 2020 wedding, had to reschedule to 2021. Alexa was SO accommodating with every change we had to go through, I can not express how grateful I am for this alone. NOW, her work is breath taking. Alexa is the best photographer you will find, so if you see this review just stop what you're doing and hire her. It was seriously the best decision we made. For as awkward as my husband and I can be, she made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera. She feels like a friend you're hanging and laughing with. We had such a great time during the engagement photos and wedding. And the pictures were breath taking. We've gotten so many compliments - she truly is awesome at what she does. We are incredibly grateful for all she's done for us!

Hiring Alexa was the best decision we made for our wedding. We cannot thank her enough for making our special day absolutely perfect. Me and my husband hired Alexa for our wedding photos and our engagement photos. Where do I even start? Alexa is the best photographer I have ever had the privilege to work with. Not only does she take the most beautiful photos i've ever seen, she has an incredible personality!! She made both of us feel very comfortable behind a camera. She made me (and my husband) feel so good! I didn't know I could love a photo of myself so much! She was so accommodating throughout our crazy wedding process. She helped me pick out outfits for our engagements and also helped me through an "almost" breakdown when we had to change venues 3 months prior to the wedding due to COVID. Not only was she our photographer, but also a friend to help with anything I needed. I would trust her with any photo needs in the future, and recommend her to anyone and everyone. I can't stop scrolling through our photos! She stopped the clock on our wedding and allowed us to live our special moments, and day all over again due to her work. Alexa did engagement photos for us in July and I have been scrolling through her magic for months now!! She made it fun and very comfortable to be in front of the camera!! Seriously so grateful for her and can’t wait for her to capture our wedding (and many more life moments!).

Honestly though, where do I even start?! Alexa, this girl. Lets go way back, back to 2018 when my (then) fiance and I got engaged. Yay! Now the planning process begins - which we all know, is overwhelming. How do you choose from the endless list of photographers, videographers, venues...well let me help you out a little bit there; start by hiring ALEXA WOODMANCY to photograph your wedding, you will not regret it. I first heard about Alexa on Instagram, where she gave us free tickets to a local wedding event. Alexa drove out of her way to my job to give me the tickets, after learning I worked horrible hours and wasn't able to meet her any other time before the event. I was so impressed by this one small thing - she was so sweet and caring right from the start. We met her at the event, but by then we already knew we wanted her to capture our wedding - her work speaks for itself, she is incredibly talented. Fast-forward to 2019. She shoots our engagement photos (included in most of her wedding packages!) and those turn out absolutely stunning. We then use these photos for everything for the next year, we absolutely love them. Then 2020 hits. None of us could have predicted that this year would be such a dumpster fire. In the months leading up to our wedding, we cancelled - rescheduled - moved venues - moved venues again - and finally after it all, kept our original wedding plans with significantly less guests. During this entire process, Alexa was so wonderful and flexible - she dealt with our 50 changes with patience, and even offered to help me plan an entirely new micro-wedding at a new location if needed. On our wedding day, this girl absolutely killed it. She RAN THE SHOW. She has so much talent, knowledge and experience with shooting weddings - and it shows. My family and friends loved her, and we all enjoyed her company and guidance during one of the most stressful (yet wonderful) days of our life. Then we waited. Painful, I know. But, the wait was well worth it. Yesterday, Alexa delivered us almost 2000 absolutely BEAUTIFUL wedding photos. I, like many of you reading, am very self conscious and critical of myself. There is not a single photo in this album that I hate, and that is saying a lot coming from me. I am overwhelmed at the amount of quality images we now have for the rest of our lives. She also includes a wedding album for her couples, and somehow we are supposed to choose 100 of our favorite pictures - HOW? THEY ARE ALL AMAZING. To end this long and ridiculous rant, if you haven't gotten the point by now - HIRE ALEXA. She is the absolute best. there is no one better, stop looking for a photographer - you found her.

I can not speak highly enough of Alexa Woodmancy and the company she runs. Planning a wedding is stressful and overwhelming, planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is enough to drive the sanest person mad. Alexa was there, with a comforting word and a smile, through every up and down. She was flexible and accommodating despite changing plans, cancelling plans, reimplementing plans, and then modifying those plans. We were all over place as we worked to navigate closures, party sizes, venue restrictions, etc. Regardless of the circumstance of your photos, Alexa is your girl! When all was said and done, there were many guests unable to be with us on our special day. The memories Alexa captured have meant so much to our families and friends, I know we will continue to cherish them for years to come. We booked Alexa for our wedding and engagement shoot because we LOVED her style. However, due to COVID-19 we had to cancel and re-plan our wedding 4 times before ultimately deciding to elope in Lake Tahoe. At this point, we had already told Alexa we were cancelling but now wanted to re-book her in less than 30 days due to how quick the circumstances were changing. Luckily she was still available and accommodating with our last minute requests. She even was fine waking up at 4am for our sunrise ceremony. We had to cancel our big dream wedding so all we had to celebrate with our friends and family were our photos. Let me tell you - Alexa far exceeded our expectations! The photos she was able to capture were incredible. She was one of the major factors in turning what we thought was just a rushed backup elopement into our dream wedding. Her easy going and fun personality was perfect for us to relax and capture the moments. We cannot be happier with her work and will be the first person we call anytime we are looking for photographer.

Alexa was the first vendor we chose for our wedding, and she was absolutely the best! With her experience, she was very helpful in referring other vendors in the area, too. She was so easy to work with. She is so quick to respond, and she made the planning process so easy! Then on the wedding day, she was the strongest person there! She was so elegant in corralling family together for photos. She was able to get every angle and photo you could want. We were so confident in her work, and she definitely delivered! Alexa did an incredible job. She is very good at getting candid shots and captured everything that we could want from our wedding. We had fun doing our couple shots with her and never felt too silly or that we were being inauthentic. We had a very difficult time choosing our photos for our album because there were so many great ones to choose from.

Best Wedding photographer ever! She really captured the beauty and magic of the day, looking back over the photos makes me either tear up or beam with joy!! She did some unexpected things, like back lighting so the sun was shining from behind us through all the lace bridesmaids dresses while still getting the exposure right so you could see everyone’s faces. Really magical, unique, and surprising!

Alexa was sooo amazing!! She came highly recommended from our wedding planner and we are so glad that we got connected! First, she absolutely killed our engagement shoot. She is a Mama of two little ones and still somehow managed to meet us in the desert at the crack of dawn for a shoot with a big smile on her face. We went off on dirt roads, climbed around different spots for the best shots, and did it all while giggling and getting to know each other. We loved our shots and she made us feel so comfortable. On our wedding day she handled our huge families and wild wedding party with a smile and grace and captured some truly magical moments! I don't feel like I need to say much about the quality of her photos because they say enough on their own (WOW!! Brb crying again as I view them). but I will definitely comment on her going above and beyond multiple times throughout our wedding planning. She met with us via conference call multiple times with our coordinator and other vendors so that everyone was on the same page, catered to our vision like a champ, and even DELIVERED OUR PHOTOS WEEKS EARLY!! Must I say more? She is such a rockstar and I can't recommend her enough.

Alexa is beyond amazing! Our wedding photos are so beautiful, I'm literally in awe when I look at them. Alexa is committed to making your photos gorgeous. Like when I say committed I mean she brought RAIN BOOTS so she could stand in the lake and get the perfect shot! You can tell how much she cares about what she's doing and she knows how to direct you or make tweaks for gorgeous photos. My husband and I joked that we wanted to have another wedding just so she could photograph us again lol. She is the sweetest and most fun photographer to work with and I will cherish her work forever!!

Alexa is a little photography fairy. I look back on videos family took I see her in the background and I just laugh to myself because in the next shot she’ll be on the completely other side, how did she get over there so fast?! We’ve only gotten our preview and I’m already in LOVE, my husband and I are not the greatest in from the the camera but she made us look like we knew exactly what we were doing. Not only is she incredibly sweet but her work is phenomenal! She goes above and beyond to capture your big day and she captures EVERYTHING! I cannot express just how in love we are with our wedding photos! Alexa is such a talented photographer. Every single photo she took of our wedding is stunning, from the detail shots to the staged portraits to the candids. It’s clear that she puts a lot of time and love into the photos she sends back. Where she really shines, though, is capturing even the tiniest interactions between people that I don’t usually see come through in wedding albums. We have so many pictures of those little moments where they are talking, hugging, laughing, dancing, and more, and you can feel the emotions radiating out of every single one. I have to say, booking Alexa was one of the best choices we made during wedding planning. From our first phone call I had a good feeling about her and knew that she had to be our photographer. Alexa is warm, hilarious, decorated beyond belief, and incredibly talented. Our wedding party and guests were cheering her on as she waded out into the lake up to her knees to get the perfect shot of my husband and I in front of Valhalla’s boathouse. We enjoyed every moment with her! She is so good in fact that my best friend booked her for her wedding as well. The best part about Alexa was that she truly captured the essence of mine and Michael’s relationship and allowed us to be ourselves in every shot. We were so lucky to have Alexa as our wedding photographer! From start to finish, it was an overall stress free experience. We communicated through email and she sent all of the paperwork digitally. Definitely recommend! I found Woodmancy Photography online and decided to reach out after reading the reviews. After our initial meeting, we knew we found the perfect photographer for us! Alexa is professional, communicative, easy-going, and has a sense of humor. What we liked most is that during the wedding, she pulled us away for a few minutes to get different ambience and emotions throughout the night. Our pictures turned out AMAZING and it's hard to narrow down which ones we want in our album. She even captured all the little details of the wedding. Only thing I would have changed is we should have upgraded our package for a second photographer to get photos of the cocktail hour.

I found Alexa after a bridal show when I had won a free engagement session from her. Alexa was the first photographer we met with in person and we knew she would be our wedding photographer before we even got our engagement photos. She was so easy going. On our wedding day she was there all day and took any photos you wanted. She works so hard and we had some sneak peak photos the very next day. It was so fun to work with sweet Alexa! She was very responsive leading up to our wedding and immediately answered any questions we had. My husband and I live in San Francisco and had to go to Tahoe a few times for various wedding planning things so we were unable to make another trip to do engagement photos prior to the wedding. I ended up still wanting to do the engagement photos, and she was able to do our engagement shoot just days before our wedding, and then got our photos back to us the very next day - they were amazing! On our actual wedding day, Alexa was there to capture everything I could've ever wanted. At one point in the night, it was raining a bit, and Alexa pulled us out to take pictures outside at the perfect timing; these ended up being the most beautiful photos ever!!! She clearly knows what she is doing and I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again!

Alexa is hands down the absolute best photographer!! I heard horror stories leading up to my wedding about people hating their photos but after meeting her for the engagement session I knew that was not going to be the case for me! Alexa was amazing at accommodating our schedules, we live in Colorado and had a Reno wedding, and she was always available by text or phone call! When we showed up to our engagement photo session we had no idea how to pose or what to do and that didn't phase her one bit! She was great at showing us what to do and our engagement photos turned out gorgeous! She even rolled with it when my then fiance (now husband) decided he was going to climb to the top of the bridge and then climb a tree! haha! It snowed the week before and on the day of my wedding and she was an absolute trooper! We wanted snowy outside pictures and from the sneak peeks I've seen she absolutely gave us snowy outside pictures--even if we all froze to get them! She was so patient with our families and bridal party I couldn't be more appreciative!! We definitely plan on traveling to Reno to see Alexa whenever we need professional pictures done from now on!!

Alexa is amazing. She was more than a photographer and had a huge hand in helping us to create the itinerary for the wedding day. She was knowledgeable and coordinated, all while having everything from the smallest details to the largest moments front and center. I cannot overstate how talented she is; to take my initial ideas/vision and make them come to life in the best ways possible is truly a wonder. If we could give more stars for Alexa, we absolutely would! We went with Alexa for both our engagement and wedding photos. She is a truly talented photographer, not just someone with a nice camera. She has wonderful vision, and knows how to work with scenery and lighting to capture the most beautiful photos. She's really great at directing poses and they look natural, and not awkward like we normally are. She knows how to be flexible as well. For our engagement shoot, the garden we wanted to use was closed, but Alexa was able to play up plenty of other shots instead, and every photo still looked great. We've only seen a sneak preview of our wedding photos so far, but they look so great, we already know we want to order some of them. We just can't wait to see how great the rest are!

Alexa was such a dream to work with for our wedding! She was very patient, (especially because I’m terrible when it comes to responding and planning) she’s been around the block and knows what she’s doing and all the right photos to snap. Alexa was such a joy to work with! Her skills as a photographer are outstanding (I don't know how we will decide on only 40 images to put in our album). She did an excellent job managing our guests and family during the photo shoot and managed to capture everyone's personality. The 5 star rating, "The best ever!" is actually a somewhat insulting because it is such a colossal understatement . Alexa is so absolutely wonderful, I wish there was a way to give her a couple extra stars. ** :) Not only does she take super amazing photos, she is also the greatest to work with. My husband and I have never (in 12 years) had photos done because it makes us so uncomfortable, but she made it so easy (and we had never met her prior to the day of) and she took our awkwardness in stride! Alexa has done two photo sessions for my husband and I now. She first helped my now husband plan a surprise proposal and then she took our wedding photos. She was very helpful and enthusiastic through our whole wedding planning process. She was always available and answered any questions we had and she would give her advice when we were not sure of what we wanted. The day of our wedding she captured so many great photos and did a wonderful job editing them. She was able to make different photo plans when the weather was not cooperative and kept an eye out for when the wind mellowed out and she was able to take us out for beautiful sunset photos. She was very patient with the long amount of time it took us to choose our photos after the wedding. She added her creative touch to our photo book and made it really stand out and beautiful. She really made the whole process a breeze and went way above and beyond what she needed to do. Alexa is a wonderful photographer and person to work with. We will definitely be using her for future photo sessions.

Alexa was WONDERFUL! She did an amazing job with our engagement photos. I was very nervous and uncomfortable to be taking photos, but Alexa made me feel calm and at ease.
