embers in my extremely large immediate family, ranging in age from teenagers to seniors, finding a DJ with a diverse library of music to satisfy all our tastes was a challenge. But you can guess by reading this, I was not only thrilled in the end but impressed enough to come back, give DJ Forrest my 5 stars, and write this review, as a demanding consumer myself, something I hardly ever do. How can I describe that night? Saying that DJ Forrest proves the definition of exceptional: "phenomenal, singular, uncommon extraordinary, and rare" comes close, making the company name "Xceptional DJ's" an apt fit for this hidden gem, but he's even better than that, as far as I'm concerned. For every harping grandkid toward a golden oldie, was an equally complaining senior at the next pop tune to play. DJ Forrest was cool under pressure however, and kept control of the event with charisma, grace and charm. Aware of our diverse crowd, he was quick to satisfy requests and changing up the tunes fast enough to please old and young (and even country fans) alike, leaving every picky guest to rave about the music in the days after. Even years from now I'm sure I'll remember DJ Forrest as the glue that held the sometimes standoffish on the dancefloor together, and the magic that kept the evening rolling smoothly; in short, the shining star of the night. Now regardless of music soothing the soul, not even the best musical genius can calm every raw nerve or hiccup. Thankfully that's where the photo booth saved the day, as a fun (***hint, read distracting***) unexpected extra that diffused more than one grumpy moment of tension that night. The booth itself was huge, which we judged by the fact that we fit our folks and all nine siblings into comfortably, capturing the first family photo to include all 11 of us in, oh I'd say, the last 20 years or more perhaps, as a wonderful added bonus. The next day, we were grateful not to face some new family feud from a meltdown or walk out the night before, which was a first for us in so long I can't even remember, and a testament to DJ Forrest's experience and talent. With all the pictures printed live, I made the sweetest one of kind scrap book to give my sister as a going away present. From the online gallery afterwards, we enlarged, printed, and framed some of our favorites to give at Christmas, making DJ Xceptional's overall service the gift that keeps on giving, literally. In fact, as my new all time event vendor, the only negative word you'll hear out of me is what a shame it is I live in Phoenix, AZ. Sadly, I'm here and they're there, so, all I can do is leave my recommendation, which is a poor favor in return, but one I'm happy to give. I know myself how many options there are in the Houston area having called most of them personally, and how they all advertise as the best. With a list of requirements that knocked most of them out, DJ Forrest and his unbelievably impressive, multi-crowd pleasing library, was the only one able to satisfy my entire hard to please family. So if you're planning any event catering to people of all ages and multiple musical tastes, think about DJ Forrest and Xceptional DJ's to take care of you like family, just like he did ours.

The dance floor was packed the whole night! We even saw some of our guests that never dance out on the dance floor. We also liked the fact that he did not talk excessively on the microphone. We did hear from some guests that they had trouble hearing us during the ceremony and the toasts during reception, but most had no trouble, so it wasn’t a big problem. From attending past weddings, the two things people remember the most is the music and the food. With DJ Forrest you can at least cross music off the list.

For the reception he was on time, even ahead of schedule (which is what I prefer) and everything went perfect. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needed DJ services. honor our contract. I am so glad he was able to DJ my wedding on July 26th to the man of my dreams! It meant so much to my family that he upheld his word. You're a classy man, Forrest. AND not only that but you throw GREAT PARTY!!! Brides-Seriously though...call Xceptional DJs. The ceremony music was perfect, and they will get your guest up and dancing at the reception. Everyone had a great time. Not to mention-they did everything possible to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Let me clarify-I wasn't bridzilla-but they were super attentive to me and my other vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly.

The video was AMAZING! Along with the photo booth pictures and Music was Beyond awesome! I will use him again for any event! I especially highly recommend him and his company for a wedding so you don't have to have any stress or worries about anything!

great time using all of the props throughout the night! All of our guests got 2 copies of the pictures taken and then we received a link by e-mail with copies of all of the pictures taken for us.

My family and friends are not traditionally a "dancing crowd" but I can say that we had a packed dance floor for the entire night and the music was absolutely perfect. Our planner also no-showed on us and Forrest came to the rescue by completely taking charge by doing this like lining up guests, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, and he even arranged for the caterer to make our plates due to us being way behind because of the weather. This company truly turned our potential wedding nightmare into one of the best weddings ever.. and even our guests were telling us this was the funnest wedding they have ever been to!!

way till 30mins right before we arrived to the reception hall. At the last minute we changed the song we wanted to be introduced to, and he was on top of it!! He kept the party going!! I would definitely be telling all our friends and family to use him for their upcoming weddings and parties.

ay. During the week leading up to the wedding, Forrest called me twice to confirm ceremony and receptions specifics, asking questions that I myself had not thought of. He stayed true to my requested playlist (and do-not-playlist) and did an excellent job of keeping the dance floor moving. I also opted for a lights package which added a bit of pizzaz to the whole affair. Many of my guests commented afterwards that he did a great job of maintaining a lively atmosphere throughout the night. I would definitely recommend Forrest for your future wedding!

o all my emails and requests in a timely manner, and was very experienced with weddings. He worked with my coordinator and came up with a perfect timeline for the evening. He also did a great job as the emcee making all announcements and pronounced our last name correctly!! We got so many compliments on the music. My only very small complaint was his honoring a request from one of our guests - a hard core rap song that went against my "don't play hard core rap" request. I was especially happy that he stayed until the very end (everone else had pretty much left) and played one last song for my husband and I to dance to all alone on the dance floor.
