Without hesitation, I would recommend Jay for any occasion!! He was extremely professional and arrived early for setup. He provided us with many song suggestions and forms to chose what songs we would like him to play. He did an excellent job making announcements the entire night and was patient and respectful when people were asking him for song requests. He made sure both myself and my bride were having a good time and song suggestions were of our liking. Couldn't have asked for someone better!

I was the Planner for a wedding in September 2019 and Jay was our DJ. He was on time, professional, easy to work with and most importantly has a great DJ voice! I appreciated his responsiveness and ability to go with the flow of the day while following my timeline. The guests had a great time on the dance floor and I would definitely recommend him.

I worked with Jay at Blue Hill Farm B&B in Waterford, VA on June 1. We loved having Jay DJ our wedding! I sent him a list of all the songs my guest requested on their RSVP cards and he weaved them into a nice order that kept the flow going. I also had a special request for our introduction song and he did it all seemlessly! As we left for our sparkler send-off we told him to pick a song (my husband loves 80s music) and we left dancing to Hall & Oats ‘you make my dreams come true.’ Thanks so much Jay — we highly recommend!

We hired Xen Live; specifically Jay, to DJ our high school prom event this past weekend and he was absolutely wonderful to work with! Throughout the entire process Jay was very professional, communicative, responsive, and friendly. He was also very helpful throughout the entire process and was extremely knowledgeable about the types of music teens are listening to today. He also had a great recommendation to survey the student population to see if there were any special requests for music, and it was a great way to get to know our student population and their taste of music. In terms of the actual event, Jay showed up with plenty of time to set up and get ready and welcomed the students with some calming/theme inspired entrance music. The music he chose for this part was honestly perfect for our "Great Gatsby" theme. Prom started at 8pm and he played welcome music until about 9pm, when most students had arrived and had a chance to eat and it was time to start the party. From then until the end of the night, Jay constantly had the students up out of their seats and dancing. I was actually surprised how empty the tables were; it was so nice to see all the students having fun and dancing the night away! Jay played a good mix of music; some new music, oldies, and even some from my high school years which was fun for everyone. He also accepted requests which the students loved. I will definitely be recommending Jay to future class sponsors planning prom and if I wasn't doing a destination wedding, would be hiring him again for my wedding in August. As a wedding planner, we always look for DJs who are professional, easy to worth with and VERY talented! Jay and his team are the BEST! I had the pleasure to work with Jay for a wedding in November. Our Bride & Groom wanted to "dance all night long" and there was never a dull moment on the dance floor! Xen Live is definitely on the top of our preferred vendor list. You won't be disappointed!

This was our first time hiring a DJ. Jay was super helpful about keeping us informed on the timing for the wedding. We didn’t have a full playlist for the wedding, but Jay was able to keep the dancing going. All of the guests complimented us on the lighting and sound. For our first daughter’s wedding we feel like we learned a lot and were completely satisfied by the professional service Provided by Xen Live!

Jay is a real professional and worked very well with the needs of our function. He provided top tier service and our guests and hosts loved him. Jay did our annual holiday work party; which is a small casual type function. about 60-70 guests, on a Friday evening. He brought his own equipment (speakers, lights, microphone). He was open to requests, and allowed our owners and CEO talk on the microphone to address the company. He provided both dinner and dance music; and added a holiday flair to it. Leading up to the event, Jay was very responsive. We spoke on the phone and also via e-mail. He already asked for any recommendations and requests, and asked what type of crowd and atmosphere will he be providing service for. I will not hesitate to do business with him again.

We had very specific music requirements for our wedding, so finding someone who understood and matched our style was very important to us. From our initial conversation, and after talking with several other DJs, Jay was the obvious choice. He offered a very reasonable rate and was extremely accommodating to our needs. He managed our ceremony, including providing background music for our soloist, cocktail hour and the reception, all with specific playlists that we developed together. Most importantly, he did an amazing job feeling the flow of the night and keeping the party going. I would recommend Jay for any event without hesitation.

If you want the best Xen Live is what your looking for. Me and my wife were looking for a DJ for our wedding October 5th 2018 and we found Xen Live well they found us really. We meet with Jay and told him we only had a few songs picked out that we knew we wanted and the rest of the play list he could pick out. On the big day when we arrived Jay was already there and set up ready to go. Everything went smoothly and he even surprised us with an Irish song due to my Irish Heritage. If I ever need a DJ again Xen Live will be the only one I call and use.

There are not enough positive words to describe how happy we were with Jay with Xen Live! Jay was an amazing DJ who really kept the party alive all night long. A lot of our guests went out of their way just to tell us how much they loved him! He was incredibly professional, accommodating, and talented - I would highly recommend Xen Live to anyone in the DMV area!

Jay and Zach of Xen Live are absolutely awesome! My Bride & Groom definitely hired the best for their wedding day on 4/14. They were responsive throughout the wedding process, on time, setup quality mics and speakers for the ceremony officiant and entertainment ensemble. Xen Live, Thank you so much for setting the mood at our wedding! Booking was extremely easy too. We had music from the 50's all the way up to now; a little something for everyone.
