When I first met Shyannah, it was at a 2019 wedding expo. We fell in love with her work and booked her as soon as we could for our 2020 wedding. Well, we all know what happened in 2020, so we moved the date to 2021, and then 2022. Shyannah was so flexible for us with the date changes. When we were getting closer to the day, we kept in close contact as I kept asking questions and adding to my list of photos that I wanted done. We also decided to hire her husband to do our videography which was one of the best ideas we had. This husband and wife duo work together fantastically. They got all the shots that we wanted and then some. I should also note that they were with us for about 8 hours that day and were always smiling and in great moods. They truly are wonderful at what they do! Thank you, Shyannah and Dylan, a thousand times over for capturing the most important day of our lives.

I found Shyannah at XO Studios in 2020 and since then I’ve had an opportunity to work with her on two separate occasions. I was first attracted to her style of photography but also by her friendly and responsive personality. Budget is always a concern for everyone and I was no exception. What I found about Shyannah was her willingness to work within our budget and come up with solutions rather then some photographers who simply saw dollar signs. She was flexible and respectful of our time and money from the beginning yet I never felt like I received less than stellar service or products when she could have easily went with a client who would have paid her significantly more (and she is worth every cent!). Our first time meeting was for engagement photos, she took the time to get to know me and my vision before then so she could suggest locations when I had no idea where I wanted to meet. During our excursion she was very easy to talk to and made us feel at ease. We never felt posed or awkward. Instead we laughed the whole time and the results came out beautiful. You could really see our personality, the love and laughter in every shot. Bonus: we used our engagement photos for the wedding invites and as different decor elements for the wedding! (Think guestbook, favors, wedding cake topper, seating chart poster, etc). The day of the wedding Shyannah arrived with my coffee in hand. She was a reassuring presence and was able to entertain my wedding party with stories while I was getting ready. After the ceremony I remember returning to the bridal suite and I was sweating! Shyannah picked something up and started fanning me! The most monumental event of my life has just taken place and I’m drenched with nervous sweat and also because it’s summer. She picked up that fan and went to town talking me through the whole thing while I’m in the most compromised positions; striping off sticky layers. She got all my shots and of course things I wouldn’t have thought about. We had a relatively fast turn around time considering how busy she was every week and on weekends with other weddings. I don’t know how she finds time in a day! In summary, am I happy I hired Shyannah; Yes! Would I hire her and her husband again; Yes! Was I happy with the product and price; Yes! Is she worth her weight in gold; absolutely! Thanks Shyannah, you were awesome and an invaluable asset during my wedding. I appreciate you and your skills; my wedding wouldn’t have been the same without you!!

We hired Shyannah for our August wedding and she was awesome! Her pricing was incredibly fair, she was always prompt in answering our questions and emails, and she did a great job at the wedding! Also, as part of her contract, we got a link to our photos with all of the photos ready for download for us to keep- no purchasing rights to the photos after already paying for the photography services. I can't recommend Shyannah highly enough. She was also great with guest wrangling for group shots and candids of people having fun! (She snapped a shot of my mom laughing with my husband's mom over something that is one of my favorites).

In a last minute conversation (less than a week before the wedding) we found out that Shyannah offered print services as well as videography. We asked her to help with all our print needs, from welcome signs to table numbers and place cards, the seating chart, and even the bar menu. She worked tirelessly to get everything right and get things to the printer just in time for our big day. Three days before our wedding we were emailing back and forth at 3 am getting all the details down for the meal preferences. Most other vendors would have said we waited too long and turned us away. Shyannah and her husband did not. They literally worked through the night to help us. They are not only great artists, but genuinely great people. They added a warm presence on our wedding day and we cannot recommend them enough. We can’t wait to see our video as well. We are confident it will be amazing. XO Studios for the win!!!

Shyannah and Dylan were amazing to work with and I would recommend them to anyone getting married. We had 3 locations on the day of our wedding (hotel for getting ready, train station for group photos and the venue). We had a bit of a time crunch and they both remained calm and went with the flow all the while getting amazing shots in both video and photo form. My partner and I are both shy around cameras but their energy helped us feel comfortable. Some of our favorite shots are moments we didn't even know we were being filmed or having our picture taken. Communication was easy, they were on time and with both our engagement photos and wedding photos they went with the flow capturing some amazing shots. I can't get over our wedding video, I think I have watched it 30 times at this point. It was so well done I recommend adding that on to your photograph package. It is worth every penny. Shyannah even went above and beyond after our wedding. We decided to use our wedding photos as a way to surprise are parents with our baby announcement. She snuck in a slide and the ultrasound photo for us. This was not something she had to do but she did it and was genuinely excited for us. It meant so much and our families were so shocked! We will definitely hire them again for newborn shots!

Shyannah did an incredible job with our wedding photos. We are pretty awkward/unphotogenic people and literally there was not a bad picture of us (somehow??). She got the photos back in the time frame promised, showed up on time, and was communicative throughout the process. Nice, friendly, good vision, and easy to work with. We couldn't have asked for any better and will definitely recommend her to friends in the future!

Shyannah and Dylan are the BEST! I met with them initially a year and half before our wedding. They were the only photographers that I met with and I didn’t have any hesitation in booking them right away. It is difficult enough to plan a wedding, but planning one during COVID-19 proved to be even more challenging. Shyannah was so flexible and willing to work with us and adapt however we needed. We ended up having a beautiful, intimate ceremony in Tacoma and Shyannah and Dylan were amazing!! I still cannot believe the photos and video that we have that captures our wedding day so perfectly!! I highly recommend this duo if you are looking for high quality photography and video that matches you and your significant other’s personality and if you enjoy working with amazing people that truly love what they do and love weddings!! Shyannah and Dylan, Matt and I can’t thank you enough!!

She’s great with children and can turn any photo into a masterpiece! We took photos and it had gotten dark, the finished edits she sent, you couldn’t even tell it was at night!

Shyannah did a fantastic job! She is really great at posing and has a great eye. You won’t regret hiring her!

I am at a loss for words other than to say how AMAZING of a photographer Shayanna is! She is so sweet and kind and easy to work with, and has really great ideas about settings that will make for great pictures. We just got our engagement photos done, and I was so beyond impressed, I was almost in tears. I struggle with self confidence in photos, so I was nervous about how I would like the photos of myself. Well, the pictures turned out better than I ever could have imagined they would, there was not a single image we didn’t love! Shayanna spent several hours walking around Ballard with us, taking pictures in several different locations, even getting on knees to get the right angle. Oh, and did I mention she was doing all of this while EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT?? She truly is dedicated to ensuring we got the perfect photos and making sure we were happy, and it showed, and we felt it. I am so glad we chose Shayanna as our photographer, definitely one of the better and easier decisions we’ve made during the wedding planning process!

¬¬¬¬¬If there was an option to give 100/5 stars, I would! Shyannah is amazing. My fiancé and I got our engagement pictures done at Discovery Park in Seattle. We are a pretty shy and slightly awkward couple, and she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire shoot. I was blown away by how quickly we got our pictures back (the following day!!). Our expectations were exceeded, and our pictures will be cherished forever. Shyannah is extremely personable and professional. She was able to capture many intimate moments we didn’t even know were happening. I cannot say enough good things about our experience and the pictures. We are so excited to see our wedding pictures come June.

Shyannah is an absolute trooper. We had plans to have our engagement shoot at Rattlesnake Lake however the day of the roads were flooded. We ended up driving around Snoqualmie and Shyannah pulled over spots she found beautiful/interesting. Our photos turned out great and we got a lot of variety due to this! Despite the PNW rain and gloom we were able to get beautiful pictures. We are excited to have her capture our wedding day in July (where hopefully there will not be rain) ;)

shyannah went above and beyond with our engagement photos in the mountains. We were definitely awkward when it came to posing ourselves, she knew how to direct us while also letting us do our own thing. She really has an eye for lighting and tastefully edited our photos. I highly recommend her!

Shyannah was incredibly easy and lovely to work with. We eloped at a courthouse and she was able to convince the judge to marry us in a different location just to have better light and pictures. Shyannah was kind, helpful and able to go with the flow. I would highly recommend her.
