Heather from Xoxo Cupcakes was amazing to work with for our wedding day! My husband and I decided that we wanted a small, simple cake for the cutting and a variety of cupcakes for the 80 guests. After a delicious tasting, we decided on strawberry shortcake, double chocolate, and chocolate bourbon for our cupcake flavors and they were so good! It was really nice to have the option of regular-sized or mini cupcakes for the wedding, and we decided on regular size and ordered an extra dozen so that if a few people wanted to have two then there would be enough! The cupcakes went over SO WELL and the cake was exactly what we wanted. Heather was also super nice to work with and completely understood and executed my vision for the desserts on our special day!

This company was extremely difficult to work with. We were emailing back and forth and kept getting responses from different email addresses so it was hard to keep track of communications sent. The email we were replying to was different than the email address we were getting responses from. Furthermore we felt extremely unimportant and uncared for throughout the whole process. We kept trying to schedule a tasting and got shuffled around 3 times. It was like we were not a priority for this business. Lastly out of the blue, after agreeing that our wedding date was available, after a more than a month of communication, we were told the business was no longer able to do our wedding, seemingly for no reason. Be careful before booking this as your event baker. Look elsewhere.

I do not know what to say other than OMG! The cupcakes Heather made for my wedding were the talk of the day. Everyone ate more than one and took some home since we ordered way more than we really needed. Many of my guests asked for her contact information since they lived the cupcakes so much. Heather was great to work with. From email communication, to the cake tasting, all the way up to the day of the wedding. Heather delivered the cupcakes to the venue on time. The pricing is very fair as well. And the fact she will make another small cake for our one year anniversary for free is a very nice added bonus. I will definitely be using her services again for future cake needs.

XoXo Cupcakes came highly recommended to us from a friend who worked with Heather for their wedding and we were so happy we ended up going with her! Our cake was delicious, it looked gorgeous, and Heather was very flexible and easy to work with (through three different postponed dates!). Day of she went above and beyond to make sure it was how we wanted it (even when we forgot something!)! We absolutely loved the final product, the process was nice and easy, and best of all, the cake was affordable! Would recommend Heather 10/10!

Heather was amazing working with us to do a cake tasting and order for our July 2020 wedding during the pandemic! The tasting was so much fun with my husband and my parents. We tried so many yummy flavors it was hard to choose! Ended up going with lemon with blueberry filling, chocolate bourbon with chocolate filling and vanilla with raspberry filling. The three tiers were frosted in white and each layer had bountiful blueberries, strawberries and raspberries surrounding it. A great price for great cake! Everyone loved it. Her buttercream is to die for. It’s not overly sugary like others. If you like butter, you’ll like this. Delivery seemed to occur with ease. We’re so excited to get our anniversary cake this summer from Heather. You won’t be disappointed!

Really loved the cupcakes I ordered for my wedding shower! I ordered pink champagne cupcakes. They were absolutely beautiful and classy, they had gold glitter sprinkled on top. They were delicious and I will definitely be ordering my wedding cake from Heather.

I found Xoxo Cupcakes as soon as I chose a date for my wedding. I loved my red velvet cake and cookie dough cupcakes. The cakes were soft, moist, and delicate. They weren’t too sweet and were beautifully decorated. Love them!

Heather was absolutely AMAZING! I would not want to have anyone else do my wedding cake! We did our wedding planning from a far since we live about 1500 miles away and she took care of everything. We told her what we were looking for and she made it exactly! I shipped my cake topper to her and never had to worry about anything!

Stop looking for other vendors because Heather is your gal. She puts so much love and passion into each and every cake she makes and it shows! I'm always blown away by her inspiring work (and so are my tastebuds). When ever I throw an idea her way she goes above and beyond to make my vision a reality--I honestly couldn't be happier with her work. Hire her and you won't regret it, she is amazing :)

XoXo cupcakes is the best cupcakes you will ever have the pleasure of sinking your teeth into. As an avid cupcake connoisseur, I have been to all the local shops from georgetown cupcakes, baked & wired, lavender moon, cupcake actually, Clifton cupcakes, sweet lobby, bake shop, red velvet and etcetera and nothing compares to it. Heather's cupcakes are perfectly moist and her buttercream frostings are just the right sweetness. XoXo Cupcakes is my go to for all events I plan from graduation parties, birthdays, holidays, bonvoyage, baby showers, and bridal showers. Not only are her cupcakes amazing, she provides stellar customer service. My favorite flavors are strawberry shortcake, key lime, tiramisu and twix. For your next event you definitely have to try XoXo Cupcakes.

I have known Heather for several years now. It has been amazing to see her hobby of baking turn into a business. She obtains her clients by word of mouth, and has grown so much over the years. You know she has amazing cakes if you come well recommended by friends and friends of friends. As my husband and I were wedding planning, we didn't even need to look at cake vendors, because I trusted that Heather would blow everyone else out of the water. I was planning my wedding remotely, and we had met up at the venue for drinks when I was in town. She brought a dozen cupcakes for us to try, and honestly, they were the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. And you KNOW there's stiff competition in the DC cupcake department. Her salted caramel and strawberry shortcake cupcakes are absolute heaven. Heather's personalization and passion for cakes made the process so easy. Heathers cupcakes are AMAZING! She made s’mores cupcakes for my mothers birthday and they were a huge hit. Looked beautiful, tasted fantastic and best of all my mother LOVED them. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

While wedding planning we knew right away that we wanted Heather at XoXo Cupcakes to make our wedding cake. We have known Heather for many years and know first hand her passion for cake baking.
