I work two jobs and am also a full-time graduate student earning my degree in counseling, while my now-husband, Lane (hehe), is an engineer. We have two wiener dogs, an axolotl, and a lot going on. Soooo, when we got engaged and realized we would be planning a wedding across multiple time zones and coasts, we knew we might need some help, lol. Before meeting Kaci, we booked our venue at the Ebell of Los Angeles, where Kaci and her team came highly recommended. After our first meeting with her, we all immediately breathed a huge sigh of relief. We knew we were in great hands, everything would be perfect, and we would not have to stress about a thing! Normally, this would be the end of a typical positive review—but strap in, because this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the absolute, glorious icon that is Kaci Johnson and XOXO Weddings. From the moment we signed with Kaci, she treated Lane and me like we were her real-life friends. She provided a listening ear, honest feedback about whether my crazy ideas were totally chic or needed some serious reconsideration, endless enthusiasm and positivity, and so much genuine love. I knew Kaci would help bring my vision to life, but I had no idea the depth of care and attention to detail she would bring to every part of our wedding. She even found a custom glass for us to turn into artwork after our “Shevirat ha-khatunah,” or the part of the Jewish wedding where the couple breaks the glass and everyone screams, lol! They truly became part of our families’ lives in the absolute best way. As a bride who is an over-apologizer and a little confrontation-averse, I was especially grateful for the way Kaci gracefully and masterfully navigated all of the business-related details. She ensured that every vendor was treated with love and respect while also making sure we got everything we wanted from the experience. She asked the difficult questions and made the little requests that I was definitely too scared to make myself! From our first meeting to hear about the services offered to the last minutes of our wedding day she was extremely helpful, organized, personable, caring, and amazing to work with. I was so impressed by her system of organization for us and that she comes to her events equipped with an emergency kit! Even though we opted to have Kaci mainly for coordination of the actual day of the wedding, she was available to us by phone call, email, or text , and for meetings from the day we signed our contract. Most other coordinators for day of usual start meeting with you 2 or 3 months before your wedding, but with XOXO you are in communication from the beginning. Xoxo have great vendor referrals and Kaci gave us helpful advice and guidance as we planned our big day. In our very first meeting she already answered questions we had about generally planning our wedding day- she was very thorough and gave great tips. On the day of our wedding- if anything went wrong we do not even know. The day felt perfect and she and her assistant took charge of the day. Everything happened exactly as we planned, looked amazing, and we didn’t have to deal with any of the planning or organization during our wedding day. Kaci was so intuitive about what was needed throughout the wedding day. At one point my mother and I were having trouble with my dress - I was pulling out my phone to call her and I hear a knock on the door of the bridal suite from Kaci before I could even hit the call button- she was right there to help without even having to be asked! At the end of the night she and Natalie had everything we needed to take home packed up for us ready to go so we didn’t even have to worry about that. After every meeting we had with Kaci - my husband and I would feel reassured and at ease about the big day and any planning we still needed to do. She had excellent questions and insights during the walk-through at the venue that saved us possible last minute issues- things we would not have known to ask ourselves. Kaci helped make our day perfect. It’s not easy to put your trust in someone for the biggest day of your life- but after our first meeting we knew we could rely on Kaci and on XOXO. We have continued to get compliments from our guests about what a wonderful time they had. The attention to detail, thorough planning, and great information is just absolutely amazing from this team.
