We had to postpone our Retie the Knot several times due to Covid. Rather than be understanding, owner April Overstreet has completely abandoned us and refuses to respond to Meta Me...
ssages or to direct emails to Y’all Travel. Despite my sending business her way, April Overstreet—who pretended like my friend through Peloton Mom’s group connections—is now refusing to communicate with me, presumably because she’s lost out on her substantial commission from Sandals. Overall, great and eager to take your money when workable and then ghosts you when a trip can’t happen, i.e. Covid, our taking in my mother with dementia, health issues, etc. even as I have sent a great deal of business her way. I do not recommend at all. April is an absolute user and when she fails to get the $ she expects, she absolutely and completely disappears. Please, go with someone else that is more reliable and less petty. Not professional at all. Choose a better quality agent.
My extended family selected April from Y’all Travel as the travel agent for a recent family trip.
During our vacation, my husband and I booked a placeholder for our next trip (fo...
r our immediate family), not realizing her name would automatically attach. When I asked her to release MY reservation to MY name so I could control the details of the placeholder and book my own trip, she threw a virtual fit and even called my father-in-law about the decision!
Afterward, she was completely unresponsive to my emails, DMs and text messages. (Sidebar: there is a 30 day window for her to release my trip to me, and she’s attempting to let that time run out. After that time runs out, either: 1. I cancel the placeholder and lose the discount on my next trip OR 2. She keeps the commission from the trip I book.)
As a last resort, I posted a kind but honest public comment on her IG asking her to contact me, and she blocked me from her IG account. Initially, I may have used her as a TA in the future, but that ship has sailed. Greed gets you nowhere, friends! Completely unprofessional. DO NOT recommend.
I would leave more stars if it would let me!
April is absolutely incredible.! She has been amazing throughout the whole process of planning our dream honeymoon. She genuinely cares...
about her clients and it definitely shows! With all the chaos that comes with wedding planning, she makes planning a honeymoon (or any vacation) completely stress free! Seriously, if you’re looking for a travel agent look no further!
