We are so glad we went with Yazz Events for our reception. The music was great and very much our style. Jalen was great at keeping the right vibe and was very professional; my husb...
and still comments on how great a person he is. I also appreciated the final check-in with our DJ about a week before the wedding to go over final must plays/do not plays and to get an overall feeling for what you want from the music, as well as small details that weren't even on my mind, such as music during cocktail hour and dinner. Would very much recommend Yazz events if you are looking for a great DJ.
I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more so...
re the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!
We hired Yazz events to DJ/MC our wedding reception. Amy was a delight to work with. We really enjoyed DJ Pat's work. Our guests had a wonderful time and even some guests who typic...
ally don't dance got up for a few songs! I highly recommend getting the audio guestbook and the photo booth. Our guests had so much fun with them!
Yazz Events provided exceptional music for both our ceremony and reception! Planning with Amy was incredibly smooth and seamless from start to finish. They're extremely well-organi...
zed with a helpful portal where we could easily add all our details, logistics, and music requests.
The violinist's performance was so refined and sophisticated - it perfectly matched our vision for the ceremony. Guests were constantly commenting on how beautiful and polished it sounded.
DJ Dale was fantastic and so personable throughout the entire reception. He kept the dance floor packed all night long and regularly checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, which really went above and beyond. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how fun he was and how great the music selection was.
The combination of elegant ceremony music and high-energy reception entertainment was perfect. Yazz Events delivered exactly what we wanted and more. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for top-quality wedding music!
We hired Yazz Events for our wedding, and even though they are based out of Ilinois, they drove up to the greater Milwaukee area for our wedding! I would give them a high rating fo...
r this alone, but they exceeded our expectations in so many other ways.
They communicated with us consistently leading up to our wedding. Not only did they answer questions and ensure access to their online portal was smooth, they also sent checklists about other things we should be working on (send invites, book florist, get final numbers, etc.) This was a lifesaver as someone who did not have a wedding planner and was planning the wedding herself. I had a few zoom meetings with Amy and also with our DJ, Dale, to ensure my questions were answered and we had the same vision for the day. Dale went above and beyond with the music he played for our wedding and he kept the floor PACKED all night long. We gave him a few songs we wanted to hear and he got the "vibe" and ran with it! Lastly, on our wedding day, the weather was iffy, so Dale was ready to leave early to set up if we had to move inside. We ended up having it outside (yay!) but it made our day less stressful knowing he would be there either way. Yazz Events ensured our event would be smooth and we were so taken care of with them. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing a wedding DJ or any other services they provide because of their incredible professionalism.

th. Our guests raved about the music (we had Spanish and English music) and kept people on the dance floor all night. DJ Dale went above and beyond for us- between meetings and final walkthroughs. We felt so taken care of. Highly recommend booking them for your next event!

s feeling the vibe of the room! He was kind and friendly and everything turned out exactly how we wanted it! Amy helped so much with all the planning and every detail. She always answered any questions I had. I was never stressed or worried when working with them. They made the entire process so smooth and seamless. I couldn’t have asked for anything better as everything went exactly how we wanted it to go! I highly recommend them!

A long overdue review! We had the DJ/Sax/Drummer package for our wedding in Aug of 2024. They also did uplighting, which was perfect. We could not be happier! Amy and Dale were SO ...
amazing to work with. Very communicative, open to ideas, and always offered perfect ways to personalize and make our wedding unique and true to us as a couple! If we had any questions throughout the planning process, they were easily accessible and very responsive and helpful. They came to the walkthrough and everything! The day of.... WOW it blew us away. Our goal was to have a packed dance floor all night and that is exactly what happened. Dale was an AMAZING DJ. He played all of our requested songs and was able to really feel the vibe of the crowd and keep people going. I wasn't quite sure how the saxophone combined with the DJ was going to be but I knew I wanted to keep the crowd going. It was PERFECT and so much fun. Zero regrets. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. It was unique and an unforgettable night all because of yazz. We still get compliments on how much fun our wedding was! Thank you Amy and Dale for everything!
Yazz Events did an incredible job for our wedding! Amy and her team were easy to work with through the planning process, and super helpful in answering all of our questions. We had...
a ceremony piano player, guitarist during cocktail hour, digital photobooth, and DJ Pat for the reception, and they all did an amazing job. The digital photobooth was a last minute addition that we're so happy we included - we were sent the full website of photos our guests took, and it was so much fun going through them all. Highly recommend the Yazz Events team!
Amy, Dale and the Yazz Strings were a phenomenal addition to our day. Planning with them was truly simple. We had a string trio for our ceremony and reception and they played beau...
tifully each rendition of the songs we picked. Then DJ Dale pumped up the vibes and we received so many compliments about the music mix. We didn't have too many must plays, but Dale understood our vibe, a blend of old and new. It was perfect! Thank you for bringing the music to our day!
Stop your search and hire Yazz Events! By far the most complimented part of our wedding was our band! We had Heatwave and added a sax. The dance floor was full all night, I only le...

Amy meets with you several times before your event and takes all your suggestions into account. They knew the general “vibe” we wanted and killed it. I had so many guests say how much they loved watching the performers as well, it's a whole package of entertainment! We had a pianist for the ceremony and it was so beautiful as were the live jazz duo at cocktail hour. Highly highly recommended, I did so much research into bands and we were thrilled with our choice!
Amy and her team at Yazz Events were wonderful to work with. From the outpouring of vendor recommendations to hire her to the thorough communication throughout the planning process...
, I would absolutely work with Yazz again in the future. The music was top-notch, and my couple couldn't have had a better day. I am truly grateful for their exceptional service.
We hired Heatwave, one of the Yazz Events bands, in two configurations: a keyboard and flute for the ceremony, and a nine-piece for the reception. Even before the actual event, in ...
the months beforehand, Amy, the owner (and lead singer), was wonderful to deal with. She was reasonable in tweaking the terms of the actual contract, made some concessions to "seal the deal," and made it clear that she and the rest of the Heatwave crew were intimate with all of the genres we wanted for the ceremony & reception. Even though she heads up the organization, she was involved in every step of the way, even to the site visit at the venue! Yazz has a great portal as well for the wedding couple to help with the planning process.
But at the actual event Heatwave, their MC and their audio guy just KILLED it - sound quality, singing, musicianship, arrangements & energy were all off the charts. I have never seen a dance floor more crowded continuously through the entire evening (and we had a very large dance floor). We didn't want to kill the buzz, so we kept them on for another half-hour at the end!
My husband and I are SO HAPPY we hired Yazz Events for our October wedding; each member is extremely talented. For our wedding, we decided to have a string trio for our ceremony, q...
uintet for our cocktail hour, and a DJ for our reception. Amy and DJ Dale helped us every step of the way in planning our music for each part of our wedding; even making music recommendations when we felt lost. They were an absolute joy to work with and I felt like after each meeting/conversation we were always on the same page. This helped decrease our stress level :)
The event portal was user friendly and helped us organize the music and timeline for my event. I cannot say enough positive things about Yazz Events. Amy and DJ Dale were flexible in scheduling meetings, very communicative, and always responsive to any and all questions that we had.
Our guests absolutely LOVED the music and even mentioned that they could tell that we handpicked each and every song that was played on our wedding day. Every song that was played, our guests thoroughly enjoyed. During and after our wedding, we had several guests ask for their contact information, which we gladly provided. We hope to attend future events with you guys performing :)
All in all, Yazz Events is hands down THE BEST entertainment there is! We highly recommend hiring them for any event!
I can’t say enough good things about Yazz Events! They were the hit of the night and our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the band was nearly three months aft...
er our wedding! They are so talented and have such a wide repertoire and our dance floor was completely full the entire night! We elected to go with a 10-piece band and DJ! This was an amazing option as there was always music playing even while the band was on break between sets. Dale, the DJ was so fantastic at amping up us, the wedding party, and the guests and kept everyone having the best time all night! He also acted as MC and kept things running very smoothly as far as introducing those doing speeches, first dances, etc.
Amy, the leader of Yazz Events, was SO amazing to work with from the start. Her enthusiasm is contagious! She was always very responsive to questions we had and was very flexible when we needed to meet with her! She offered her expert opinion on certain songs, etc, and we valued her opinion and talent! Not to mention, Amy and her whole band are very talented performers! They crushed every song they performed! Brooke sang the most beautiful rendition of “At Last” for our first dance. A highlight of the night was when Amy and the band invited my father onto the stage to sing “You Really Got Me” by the Kinks with them, reenacting a moment when he surprised my mother by doing this at their own wedding in 1984! Her reaction was priceless, the guests loved it, and it was so special to me too that they honored my parents! What a fantastic night! Thank you so much, Yazz Events!
I can’t say about good things about working with Yazz events. They truly outdid themselves and made our wedding the most memorable experience!

er voice for us throughout the whole event AND had 0 mistakes in name pronunciations which is a huge win!
Yazz Events was also able to add cold sparks for our first dance which WOW'd our guests and fun lighting for our dance floor.
We added on live ceremony musicians and were so happy Yazz Events could accommodate. We got so many compliments on their performance during the ceremony. We also had a live saxophone player during our reception dancing and that was the BEST. He was so interactive on the dance floor and our guests LOVED it. Additionally, the drummer to go along with DJ Dale and the saxophone only elevated our whole reception!
The whole process from start to finish was great with Yazz Events.

t an absolute pleasure working with her leading up to our big day. She responded quickly to emails/texts or any communications answering any and all of our questions to make sure we felt comfortable. We even had a slight snafu the day of our wedding regarding a vendor delivery on the size of our stage. Amy was flexible and made everything work perfectly, despite the sizing challenges with the stage. The music The Experience produced on our wedding was perfect for our vibe, getting people to dance and left guests saying that it was the most fun and memorable wedding they’ve attended!
We are so happy we had the opportunity to work with Amy and The Experience, and highly recommend to any and all looking for a wedding band!

and the combo of DJ and Band meant there was never a break in the dancing. The song request/wedding schedule website was easy to use, customizable, and a huge help in planning out the night. Amy and DJ Dale were extremely helpful in the planning process and even a few last minute changes that saved the day! Thank you both (and the whole band!) so much for that one. My sister was able to join in singing on stage for a song and rock out with the amazing musicians, which was an awesome bonus and something really special for the whole family. We couldn't recommend Yazz Jazz enough, and wish we could dance the night away again with everyone!! Thank you guys so much!

completely at ease about the whole process. We also had to postpone due to covid and they were extremely flexible and supportive.
Our guests RAVED about the band, saying it was the best live music they have ever heard at a wedding. We couldn't agree more. The talent they have in this group is next level and the energy they bring had everyone out of their seats dancing the entirety of the reception!! We are so glad we went with Yazz Jazz and highly recommend them!

no, upright base, violin), cocktail hour (jazz trio), and reception (Heat Wave Orchestra and DJ Dale). From start to finish, the creative service they provided was impressive and perfect and exactly what we wanted!! They played our favorite songs as requested the entire evening! The talent and energy all of the musicians brought did not go unrecognized, and Heat Wave Orchestra really kept our dance floor alive! Some of our guests made a point to say it was the best wedding band they had ever seen!! The owner of the company, Amy Yazzinger, is kind, flexible, and so easy to work with!

Yazz Jazz is spectacular. Amy is absolutely amazing at helping you coordinate your evening. Not only is her music knowledge phenomenal, and she knows how to get a room going, but as a person she is an absolute delight. I could not have asked for a more magical event.
We will forever remember fondly the special evening they gave us.

azing job of working with you in regards to organization, timeline, and getting to know you and what you're looking for. We spoke with a number of other bands before finding Yazz Jazz and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Thank you Amy!
I still have guests who attended our wedding tell me how much they enjoyed our band. In fact, they'll let us know YazzJazz put on the best performance out of any other wedding they...
'd attended before. That's how stellar this group is.
Well organized, great communication channel and feedback, very well prepared and personal.
Their pricing is well laid out and easy to accommodate band members (additions). Yazz Jazz's pricing was competitive to the Chicagoland area, if not, even set lower than other leading groups.
Attend one YazzJazz showcase; you won't need to look further. Done. They incorporate music from all genres over many decades (merging songs with beat). Amy (band leader) even sung our first dance song (not outlined in contract). She was extremely accommodating to the couple. They will go the extra mile to make your event unique.
We cannot thank Amy, Brooke, and the entire Yazz Jazz group enough for making our wedding so spectacular. We had to reschedule original date in 2020 due to Covid, and Yazz Jazz cou...
ld not have been more understanding and helpful to secure themselves for our new date. Amy and Brooke were always available to answer questions and help with song selection and setup leading up to the big day. We were blown away with the band's fun, energetic, and incredibly talented performance. The dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT LONG and our guests are still talking about how amazing our wedding band was. We cannot thank Yazz Jazz enough for making our wedding night one to remember forever!

ony music, to cocktail hour to the dancing after dinner. It was everything we imagined and more. The dance floor was never empty!! They were sooooo good. There is not one negative thing we can write. They were attentive, professional and most importantly so much fun and so talented They sounded so perfect for so many songs the guests commented that they couldn't tell it was a band it sounded so much like the artist. If you have the chance go Yazz jazz!!! Amy was amazing to work with. Her voice is beautiful and she is so fun.

ding day. I told my husband years ago, while attending another wedding as a guest (that also had a violinist at their wedding), I would love to have that at our wedding some day. When it came down to it, our plans changed so many times from our original wedding day, we were in search for a duet (a violin and cello) for our ceremony. The music was so beautiful and the musicians did an amazing job. Amy ran the business side and communications. She was so professional and responded to my questions and late night emails, almost instantly (in minutes). She was so accommodating and flexible with any change of plan we had during this crazy pandemic year to get married. Thank you Yazz Jazz Music & Production!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
I can’t say enough good things about Amy and her team at Yazz Jazz. From the moment we set up an intro call, Amy was patient, kind, and put us at ease. We loved that the band siz...
e and packages offered to us were so flexible, most notably because we booked during the height of the pandemic!
Leading up to the wedding, we felt like we had white glove service from Yazz Jazz. Amy helped us with last minute song choices and our DJ/MC, Dale, walked us through the timeline to make sure everything was perfect.
On the day of, we received so many compliments on our music! Heatwave Orchestra knocked it out of the park. One thing that is very apparent is that the performers at Yazz Jazz love what they do and that energy is infectious. They kept the dance floor bumping on a very hot summer night. Additionally, Yazz Jazz is woman owned and both bands are led by women. Double awesome.
We were referred to Amy Yassinger of Yazz Jazz through our wedding photographer, and our long search was immediately over. We wanted an intimate experience for a smaller 80-person...
wedding, with music that would not only accent our special day, but definitely get everyone dancing.
From the very beginning, Amy helped us plan every step, from the prelude music, to the happy hour ensemble to dinner, and ultimately the ceremony and dancing. Amy tailored the musicians and music to our own personal needs, size of venue and our clergy, even helping us get the sound system just right from beginning to end. We were offered a range of musicians and singers, and given the choice to select our own songs.
To get started, we described our needs for our day, and our musical preferences. Amy skillfully matched her musicians to our desires. She kept in touch, coordinated with our venue and vendors seamlessly, and exceptionally delivered. Our music was spectacular from beginning to end, and all delivered within our budget. We had quiet moments during dinner, yet when we wanted the dancing to begin, it did.
One of the greatest compliments from our guests was how nice the music was during dinner. It set the mood. but also allowed our guests to connect and converse at the same time. We highly recommend Yazz Jazz, and for a wide array of functions and events.
Amy and YazzJazz Entertainment were a dream for our wedding! We chose YazzJazz because it’s a one stop shop for all of your entertainment needs! We knew we wanted live music and a...
DJ for our wedding, and YazzJazz can make anything you dream up happen. We had strings (Violin and Cello) for our ceremony, a jazz trio with Amy singing for cocktail hour, and DJ Dale for the reception. DJ Dale was AMAZING. He was thorough during our planning meeting, making sure every dance, speech, and special moment was covered. The day of he found us to quickly confirm everything was still correct. He was able to play a little of everything we wanted, old classics, country, and throwback R&B music. The way he mixed everything together to flow was amazing. Everyone had such a great time. Due to COVID, we had to decrease our guest list by about 200 people. We reached out to Amy to see if she could help us live stream our ceremony, and of course she pulled through! She set us up with Mike, who was able to find a way to get internet in a rural area, live stream our event on Youtube with high quality video and sound, multiple camera angles, and it turned into a recording right after so we could watch our live stream on our mini-moon! Amy and her team are true rockstars and we cannot thank them enough for making our day perfect. The communication was always amazing with Amy and her team. Amy even went out to our venue to check out the internet situation ahead of time to make sure everything would run smoothly. You can tell she really cares about her business and her clients and it shows through her work. I cannot recommend Amy and Yazz Jazz enough. You will not regret booking them! Do it!

bably one of the most professional people I have ever worked with! She met us quickly to go over our requests, her online system for selecting songs was so easy and they even went as far as learning a new song (even though they don’t do much county) for our first dance (which was totally unexpected given the short timeframe they had). I can’t say enough good things about working with them! Once it came to the wedding, the music was perfect (we used them for everything ceremony/cocktail/reception). The energy was amazing and I got so many compliments about “the band” throughout the night and after. Even the venue was impressed! If you’re looking for a great live band (and an awesome DJ option too) Amy and Yazz Jazz are the way to go for sure!
I have had the absolute pleasure of working with the beyond amazing Amy Yassinger (owner/stellar performer!!) at various weddings, many times. She exudes total professionalism but ...
with a cool looseness that is crucial in making EVERYONE...on the big day, feel at ease. This not something that is taught or can be learned. It's the secret sauce/formula that cannot be faked. Of course she and her killer performers tear it up entertainment wise! Weddings are indeed so fun...but, if you do not know what you are doing and do not exude that rare vibe that people can latch onto...you do NOT last long in this business. Amy is a seasoned vet and just has that special quality that puts her and her company on a much higher scale.

ving Yazz Jazz provide our ceremony music as well as our cocktail hour music because their musicians are amazing. But Post-Covid, we had to cancel our band and asked Yazz Jazz to also play during our luncheon and we were not disappointed. Our intimate day was made even more beautiful by Yazz Jazz. Also, Amy was so pleasant to work with and so helpful. She put many of our stresses at ease. I would hire Yazz Jazz over and over again! They were perfect!

I couldn't recommend them enough and wish I could see them weekly to dance to my favorite cover songs. Their talent is just outstanding and you will never find a better band who will work with your budget and give you the quality they gave us. 10/10!

Amy was amazing to work with throughout the planning process, and made everything so easy. She took the time to get to know us and our music tastes, and the songs they played were spot on!

Yazz Jazz was a phenomenal vendor for our wedding!
We chose to go with the DJ service, which was Dale, and he was great! Not only did Dale perform well on our wedding night, but he...
was so comforting before and during our big day. We had a call with Dale the week of the wedding and literally my then Fiance said "OMG I am so relieved and less stressed because he is going to take care of us." And boy did he! Numerous times throughout the night he was checking in and calming us down (LOL). The music lineup was composed and setup well, I have never danced so much in my life. Too much fun. The dancing was a highlight for many of our guests and it will be something I will remember forever :)
No complaints whatsoever. The cost was competitive to other DJ services we looked into and it was worth every penny.
I say all of this, but it would not be possible without the owner of Yazz Jazz, Amy! She also was great throughout the whole process and she even followed up after!

From the moment I spoke with Amy I knew that Yazz Jazz was our band!! She was super professional and addressed all of our needs and concerns! We customized our music with the first...
half as Jazz and the second half more acoustic with vocals and it was FABULOUS!!! Very different from your traditional wedding music. We dreamed of live music and this far exceeded our expectations!
Amy and her team at Yazz Jazz were absolutely phenomenal to work with. Amy worked with us every step of the way to figure out what we wanted and come up with a plan to use both liv...
e music and a DJ for various parts of the wedding. Working with the same company for both options meant that everything was coordinated seamlessly the day of the wedding.
Amy was so organized throughout the process, had a great online planning tool, and even made a trip to see us on her way from another wedding, so that we could meet in-person. We knew going into the weekend that we were in good hands. The music added so much to our day. The live music during our cocktail hour and dinner created the perfect ambiance, and the DJ had the dance floor packed the entire night. We couldn't have been happier with how flexible, helpful, and talented Amy and her team were!
