YELBA! The Premier Bilingual Band!

We had a bicultural wedding and Yelba and her band helped make everyone feel welcome on the dance floor! Our guests loved that she played all different kinds of music!

Yelba's band was amazing from start to finish. She engaged the crowd and kept the timeline going perfectly. Great music, everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

Yelba and her Latin Fire band. Was everything we dreamed on our wedding day. she was is so kind and her smile is radiate. Everyone wanted to know, who she was and what our bands name was. She was great with deadline reminders, it helped so much since we didn't have a Coordinator. Her latin fire band! that accordian! She also let my dad sing as song!

Our wedding simply wouldn’t have been as fun had we gone with a different band! My wedding was yesterday, in Dallas, and I had done a lot of research on bands in DFW that could do a bilingual performance. We wanted 50/50 Spanish and English and finally after expanding my search to all of texas I found Yelba on the knot- I then found some YouTube videos and I was sold! There is no one out there that can do what this band does- I am so impressed by their expansive repertoire in both Spanish and English. Yelba was so easy to communicate with and her band delivered!!!! I really can’t put it into words how perfect our night was and we know Yelba’s band deserves the credit because they kept the guests on the dance floor from start to finish!!!!

We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Yelba and the Latin Variety Band as a wedding band! We used them, loved them, and we heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests! We heard about Yelba and the Latin Variety Band through some internet searches. We liked the sample songs listed on the website, and after reaching out to Yelba, she invited us to watch her perform at an open/public performance - the band was incredible! Yelba is easy to work with and very responsive. We corresponded with her via email to work through the planning process and our copious questions. We knew we wanted a band which could play both English and Spanish songs, and Yelba and the Latin Variety Band had a wide repertoire of both English and Spanish songs. Since we did want some Spanish songs, Yelba recommended we utilize the 5-piece band including a conga player (i.e., Yelba - vocals/guitar, drummer, keyboards, guitarist/bass, conga player). But Yelba can also replace the conga player with another guitarist if Spanish songs aren't requested. In addition to the 5-piece band, Yelba was able to provide a sound engineer, a DJ, and a cellist for our cocktail hour. Our cocktail hour guests were pleased with the cellist during the cocktail hour. The included DJ is an added benefit. We had several songs which we wanted to have played by a DJ, so having the flexibility of hearing some great music from a live band and having a DJ available for other requests was phenomenal. The band is extremely talented and sounds great (in both English and Spanish), and the dance floor was never empty! There was one point when the DJ was trying to play a song, and for some reason, there was feedback on the speakers. The band and sound engineer were trying to diagnose the problem, and Yelba got on stage and said, "Let the band play it!" - and they did a fantastic job! Professionalism, quality, customer service, and great song selection - Yelba and the Latin Variety Band is the whole package, especially when you compare their cost to other bands! If we need a band for any other function, we will definitely go back to Yelba!

In September 2014, in the midst of wedding planning, my now-husband and I fortuitously attended a large charity gala, where Yelba was the featured band. We were blown away. We asked Yelba that night if she was available for our wedding date, and we were thrilled that she was. Our reception was a blast. My sister said that she has never seen a dance floor fill faster. We danced until the very end. We had guests from the US and Latin America, and everyone had a fantastic time. To this day, I still have wedding guests tell me how much fun they had at our reception and always ask for Yelba’s name and contact information. Having Yelba as your band for any event is the very best decision you can make for the success of the event. In fact, for my husband’s recent birthday party ( for a very important birthday milestone), I reached out to Yelba first. We could not imagine having the celebration without Yelba and her band. Once again, we danced until the very end. Once again, guests told me how much fun they had and asked for Yelba‘s name and contact information. Simply put, Yelba is the best. She is a joy to work with, and she and the band can do anything: Latin, American rock ‘n’ roll, Bluegrass, Country, R&B, Fifties Music... and everything in between. You will be so thrilled to have Yelba at your reception!

I think we are the luckiest couple that's ever lived. We had the most incredible wedding day! Yelba and the band were dressed to the nine's and kept the dance floor rocking all night! We got so many compliments on looking so happy and on the music selection which was the perfect mix of English and Spanish. DJ Cool Raul was perfect, too! Thank you Yelba Band for everything!

Yelba preformed at our wedding and was phenomenal!!! She and the band are so incredibly talented! She kept the party going all night. Yelba is The Best!!! Here in Houston we are blessed to have Yelba! When it came time for my wedding we hired Yelba for our celebration at the Petroleum Club. Then we hired her back again the following week for our local celebration in The Woodlands. Why? Because She is The Best!!! She is Amazingly talented in All kind of music. All you have to do is let her know what you want, and she will do her best to comply. She has always been there for us. She is versatile in all music and on top of that she can do both: English and Spanish songs from all eras!! Make time to listen to her at the many venues she has every month.

Yelba and her band always tailor to your specific desires. Just sit with her or give her a list of songs you like. She is extremely versatile and talented singing in both English and Spanish with any type of music. You will not be disappointed. So contact her early to get the date you beed, as she’s in great demand! What a fun dancing time. The only downfall was that the party had to end 🤗.

Yelba knows how to make all audience happy due to her great repertoire. English-Spanish songs come along for everyone’s favorite rhythm and age. Love love her!

Yelba and her band keep everyone dancing and in a great mood! I’ve seen them perform over a dozen times and at many events and parties-both Latin and American-she nails every song with her beautifully versatile voice and the band plays each song perfectly! Punctual, professional, but fun and approachable. Their band is a favorite for all ages and genders!

Met Yelba about nine years ago when they played weekly at Hubble and Hudson Kitchen in The Woodlands. They were so good we made our “date night”outing to see them play and dance as much as we could. The band moved to play at La Bikina another restaurant in The Woodlands. We continue are date nights and we’re recognized by the restaurant staff for attending 33 weeks in a row. The band shows up early, plays songs you want to hear, has several different numbers of players that can be in the band and mingles with guests during breaks.

What an amazing band. My guests have not stopped raving about Yelba’s band. Great variety and dancing music. From the 70’s, 80’s to current hits. She even gives salsa dance lessons to those that need some help! Working with her was very easy. I look forward to our next event to book Yelba.

If I could give Yelba and her band a rating of 10 (ten) stars I would. Our private event turned out amazing thanks to them. Even after a year and a half, we still get wonderful compliments and fantastic pictures of that night, not to mention the memorable moments that will remain in our mind and heart for ever.

Yelba played at our home and they were incredible! They are personable, talented and enthusiastic! We requested a few cover songs in advance and they created 3 hours of dancing or mingling music. I cannot wait to book them for our next party💕💕💕

Yelba was flawless in her arrangement of music and vocals. Her voice created an atmosphere that was infectious to dance as she entertained with her own dance moves! She definitely made the night complete with lasting memories.

Yelba and her team played at our wedding this past October. It was such a special day for us, but Yelba really made it feel perfect by getting ALL our guests on the dance floor ALL night long! They are so professional, kind, and punctual. They sound AMAZING live and people are still raving about the music/band at our wedding (I am also still on cloud 9). I recommend Yelba 110%. Our first dance was split between "You Make My Dream Come True" by Hall & Oates and "Tu Amor me hace bien". Yelba ROCKED it. I think that just goes to show their talent- playing an 80's American classic song followed by Marc Anthony salsa. I am Colombian and my husband is from Austin so it was the perfect band for our wedding. Thanks again Yelba & team, you guys are the BEST!!!

Yelba exceeded our expectations for our daughter's wedding in Austin. She helped us out with a cocktail hour piano player and played for 4 hours during the reception. Our daughter was thinking of changing the bridal dance the week before the wedding. Yelba sent her a personal U-Tube video of song options on Christmas Eve morning!!! This was so helpful & totally unexpected. Guests at the wedding commented on Yelba's diversity in musical styles--country to ballroom to contemporary to Latin--they do it all, and play it all well! This was a semi formal wedding and not only was the band dressed well they even wore the wedding colors!! We can't wait to have another event so can have Yelba play again!

1/13/2016: We hired Yelba's Variety Band for our wedding in January 2016 and were absolutely blown away by how great they were! I must have heard at least 2 dozen positive comments about the band during the wedding and many more in the days following. Yelba's band is talented and really knows how to get everybody out on the dance floor. As a groom running around making his rounds trying to say hello to everybody every time I looked up I saw our guest dancing and having a great time. In addition to their talent, Yelba was professional, quick to respond, and courteous during our communication prior to the event. We went the route of planning the wedding our selves so we had to make a ton of decisions. By far the decision to hire Yelba was the best one we made. Yelba's Variety Band and "Latin Fire" were simply amazing! Our Peruvian American wedding was a huge success!
