The only constructive note I have is that our invites seemed to all have a curve through them, versus laying totally flat - perhaps it was because the thickness of the paper, but when you're paying 1K for invites, you expect them to lay flat. However, we would still use them again, and will continue to shop there for cards, etc. even though we live in the city! It was worth the trip every time to place orders and pick them up. And let's face it - your invitation sets the tone and she helped me start my big day off right. Down to the every word, she was there making sure I got what I was looking for and then some. s. The first and most important is that they have MANY different options to fit all tastes and needs. We were looking for pretty much everything, starting with our save the dates, invites, and wedding programs. Their selection was unparalleled. The second reason we chose to work with Yellow Bird is that they are affordable in comparison to our stores we looked at. The last reason is that Laura, the lady who helped us with everything at Yellow Bird - was unbelievable. I did not know anything about the protcol of save the dates and invites, and Laura advised me and helped me all along the way. Our guests loved everything - from the fun photo we used for our save the date, to the tasteful and classic Vera Wang invites, and ending with our cool programs (which had a little picture of a bride and groom at the top). We will definitely use Yellow Bird for any future stationary needs. Thank you so much, Laura, for your wisdom and help!

Cindy, Laura, and Sheila are amazing and so easy to work with! Yellow Bird has a very large selection of stationary to choose from, and they get a feel for what you like right away while staying within your budget. They are very helpful when choosing colors and fonts, and they are very knowledgeable about proper wording. They can create just about anything you need at a good price. They helped me with wedding, bridal shower, bridesmaid brunch, and bachelorette party invitations. They also designed and printed my thank you cards and even itineraries for our hotel gift bags. They were so wonderful and thoughtful throughout my experience... Putting personal touches on things to make them unique and making the slightest changes so everything perfect. We are so happy we found Yellow Bird. It is about 30 minutes from where we live but totally worth the trip. We will always use them for our stationary needs in the future!

TERRIBLE experience with a salesperson who was impersonal and seemed to be hurrying us. Even worse, she seemed to be ignorant about their invitation selection and had zero ability to explain how the process works. My experience at Yellow Bird was a complete contrast. The staff were helpful, attentive, and Cindy worked with me for a long time so that my invitations were exactly what I wanted, making detailed and useful recommendations along they way. If you live in the northern suburbs (or anywhere in Chicagoland!), don't fall into the trap of the snotty, over-priced Chicago boutiques who sell the SAME invitations as Yellow Bird yet have terrible customer service skills. I'm now working with Yellow Bird on matches, napkins, and menus for my recepetion, and am having a similarly excellent experience. At this store they really take the time to work with you on what you want, rather than hurrying you through the process.

My fiance and I chose the pattern Baroness by Checkerboard and Laura was so helpful is making sure the wording was correct and that the correct amount was ordered. There was one small mishap where they couldn't find my file when I called them to make the final order, but Dori found it and all was well. :) I plan on going back to Yellow Bird for all my paper needs in the future (Bridal Shower, birthday parties, baby shower, etc).

They have a huge variety of styles to choose from and a great set up to browse the binders in a comfortable area of the store. I was treated well both when I had made appointments, as well as when I just stopped in or called or emailed with last minute questions and adjustments. I can´t say enough good things about all the different people who helped us at the store. I doubt other stores expertly educate you on the etiquette of stationary and have all the great stories that these folks have about their years in the business. They listened really well and respected my opinions, decisions and budget, as well as answered all my questions and concerns. They´re there with you when you need them to be and also give you privacy with your party to talk over ideas and cost. They are incredibly thorough and on top of things, calling vendors, designers, and custom departments for you, getting back to you on the phone and e-mail. They even show enthusiasm for you and your wedding and really seem to enjoy their work and interactions with you. The result-exquisite invitations! They are exactly as I had imagined them, and, with the help of the staff, they are appropriate and specialized.
