Similar to the review below, I too was completely ghosted by Yessie. My last correspondence with her was back in April and she confirmed that she wanted to set up a FaceTime call t...
o confirm everything for the day. Never heard from her after. Her Instagram suggests that she has indeed gone through a very rough time for which my heart definiately goes out to her and I hope she is recovering well. All I would like to see is a. my deposit returns b. some semblance of recognition that she did not hold up her end of our professional contract.
Please take this as a warning to future brides... Yessie full ghosted myself and several other Spring 2021 brides for our weddings. We were left in a lurch and forced to find other...
people to do our makeup/hair.
Here is the context:
• I connected with Yessie in August 2020 for my May 2021 wedding. Her reviews were great and I loved her portfolio
• We chatted via phone and she was lovely! So helpful and wonderful and her prices were reasonable compared to other Seattle artists.
• I paid her a $200 deposit.
• In February 2021 I emailed Yessie to ask about setting up my trial. No response.
• I emailed her again early March. No response.
• I called and left a voicemail on her cell phone. No response.
• I texted. No response.
• I texted a second time and got a response saying she was out of town for some major family issues and that she would reach out to me in a week. Never heard from her.
• 3 weeks go by so I text again. No response.
• I texted 2 more times. No response.
• My wedding was now 6 weeks away so I scrambled to find another makeup/hair artist.
• The new artist told me that this wasn’t Yessie’s normal character BUT it had happened to dozens of other brides too. My new artist was booking approx. 5 of Yessie’s brides PER WEEK who had also been ghosted.
• None of us have been able to get our deposit money back.
I understand that she may be going through some personal events but fully ghosting this many brides is uncalled for. If you are a future bride, I would look elsewhere.
The first person you see on your wedding day is your hair and make up artist. They help you start you day on the right foot, pump up the mood, make you feel beautiful and take away...
your stress. Yessie brought in a friend to help do make up & the both of them were the PERFECT combo for my morning - catered to my chill happy vibes, got along with my bridal party and really made the experience feel real, authentic & exciting. My bridal party and myself expressed our vision for hair and make up and they both really took it to heart and followed directions while helping bring it to life in a better way than we imagined. They accentuated our natural beauty and made us all look and feel like queens! Yessie was on time to take care of myself, 4 bridesmaids, 2 flowers girls, 2 moms and my grandma - leaving enough time for us to have some champagne before getting the day started. Highly recommend Yessie!

Her work looks flawless on photos and in person.
Besides being an amazing profissional she is easy going, fun to work with, full of energy and definitely that type of person you want to keep as your friend.
I've hired Yessie for all my special occasions and I will do it over and over again in a heartbeat. She is just THE BEST.

y to listen and work together with her brides. She even helped me calm down when I got emotional!
I've honestly been disappointed in my experience. I reached out to her a few times after not hearing from her. She claims she has sent emails to me, but I've never received any ema...
ils from her. I am now not using her services because I had to move on to another vendor. If you use her services, I recommend calling not emailing after my experience. If I could call, I would but I'm hearing impaired. Very disappointed because I wanted to use her services. I wish there was a way for other ways of contact if a vendor is not able to reach you or doesn't hear from you after some time.
Yessie surpassed my wildest dreams with hair and makeup for my wedding! Since I had a destination wedding, I was unable to have a makeup and hair trial. I was over the moon with ho...

look that made me feel like my most beautiful self! I decided to do a hair and makeup trial ahead of the wedding and I am so glad that I did! I felt much more prepared for the actual wedding day and had a better idea of how my whole bridal look would come together. Yessie is so talented and makes you feel so calm while she expertly enhances your natural beauty. I hope she is available for all of our future major events so that I can again feel as gorgeous as I did on our wedding day. I can’t recommend Yessie enough!
Yessie did my hair and makeup for my May wedding and I cannot say enough good things about her! I traveled to Seattle from out of state and was unable to do a trial run, which cou...
ld be nerve wracking. However, Yessie reached out ahead of time, asked for ideas/inspiration, and on the day of went right to work - giving me the perfect look that was totally "me," as if she had known me forever. She is sweet, has a calming presence, and it oh so talented. Can't recommend her enough! She also did all of the moms' hair - and each look turned out perfect. Again, she just knows how to tap into each individuals' look and personality, so everyone looks naturally beautiful without looking like someone else or "made up." We were all very, very happy. Thanks Yessie!
I cannot say enough about how happy I was to work with Yessie. She did my hair and makeup, and by far did the best work I've ever had done on both. She was calm, fast but not rushe...
d, and best of all, did not just go with a "standard package" - she took into account what shapes and shades would look best on me, and even gently steered me in the direction she thought would be most flattering. She really knows her stuff, too, and explained her recommendations about the skin care and makeup products, as well as the angles and height of my hair. I loved the final product - it looked dramatic but natural! I'm so thankful to have had her expertise, and only wish I could work with her every weekend!

e misfortune of getting a very bad tan line a few days before my wedding and she was able to fix it (and save me from a lot of stress!) I cannot recommend her enough to other brides!
Yessie is hands down amazing at what she does! She has a great reputation in the area for her natural makeup look, and I knew she had to be my makeup and hair artist for my fall el...
opement. I LOVED that we did a trial run a few months beforehand so I could really get a sense of the style and look I was going for. Yessie took photos to make sure she had them on file so when the day came she knew exactly what to do. Fast forward to the best day of my life, Yessie arrived on time to our cabin and was ready to go. She's professional, sweet, and responsive. I highly recommend Yessie as your gal for your special day! You won't regret it.

essie nailed both of them. She's not only the sweetest thing on the planet, but she really listens to what you want, and uses her expertise to make that look work for you. My makeup stayed put on both days, through extreme heat and wind (and tears from bright sun!) in the desert at my engagement shoot, to 12 hours of hugs, food, happy tears and dancing the night away at my wedding. I can't recommend Yessie enough, she will make you look and FEEL amazing for whatever event you book her for!!

ed my hair and my make-up (which I often have a hard time turning over to other people) was gorgeous. Such a big thank you to Yessie for transforming me in to the prettiest I’ve ever been on such an important day!

e time. Perfect for me. I appreciated the chance to do a trial run before to see how well my hair would stay up and to be sure I like the look. My mom and bridesmaids also enjoyed working with Yessie.
I had the pleasure of Yessie doing my hair and makeup for my wedding day. Not only did she allow me to change my hair style a couple of weeks before the wedding, she was also very ...
patient when I also wanted to change my makeup the day of. I felt so beautiful walking down the aisle! Despite it raining on my outdoor wedding, my hair and makeup held up very nicely. She also did my mom and sister's hair and makeup, along with my flower girl. She made everyone feel gorgeous on that special day. She is a joy to be around and I HIGHLY recommend her if you are planning a wedding!
Yessie is a magician! I loved loved loved my wedding day hair and could not have been happier. Originally, during the trial, I had wanted and updo because I was afraid that the wea...
ther was going to be super hot... but then once I got my dress after the final fitting and the weather was cooling off for the week, I really wanted my hair half up and half down with my dress and asked if it was possible to change it and she was all for it! On the big day, she spent extra time on my hair and wanted to make sure my curls were set for the night... and they definitely were... even the next morning! I wish my hair could look like what she did everyday! Highly recommend booking her!

mely picky. I researched several makeup artists, poured over reviews and wedding photos and decided I would give Yessie a try.
When I first met Yessie for our trial, she immediately put me at ease. She told me that she wanted me to feel comfortable with what she was doing and that we can fix or add anything as we go- very flexible and easy to work with...
My skin is sensitive and very oily and I was concerned that my makeup would not hold up all day during my wedding. Yessie went out of her way to find me a special primer to help combat the oiliness & it worked like a charm! I even went out and bought one for myself! My skin looked flawless and stayed perfect the entire day/night. She is seriously so talented and highly skilled- her photos speak for themselves...She is a true artist & a real sweetheart. :) Thank you, Yessie!
This review is long overdue. We had our wedding back in September. Yessie did my makeup for my engagement photo shoot and for our wedding day. She is amazing! Both times she did my...
makeup was absolute perfection! I wasn't really specific with what I wanted for the wedding but somehow Yessie just understood what I wanted and delivered. We had an Indian wedding, and I asked Yessie if we could incorporate a piece of jewelry on my hair. That little hair pin proved to be a challenge but Yessie made it work and I loved the final look! She and her assistant also did the makeup and hair for my bridesmaids. They worked fast! Each girl looked so beautiful! Yessie is amazing and you won't regret going with her on your special day!
Yessie did my hair and makeup for my recent wedding and she did a great job! I was super happy with how it turned out and my bridesmaids were happy with their hair and makeup too. ...
I got the package which included lashes, airbrush makeup and a trial, which was a great value at $270, especially considering that she came to do the makeup and hair at locations of my choosing for both the trial and wedding day. At the trial, Yessie went over my Pinterest boards with me to decide on exactly what I wanted. This made the day of go very smoothly. Yessie was also very flexible, making changes to my hair and makeup when I wasn't 100% that it was what I wanted. I would definitely recommend Yessie!

Made me look beatufil like never before ! She's very sweet and great to work with....She came to my house which made my life easier and is def affordable...def highly recommended!
