As a prospective client, all you have to do is take a quick glance at Yisell’s portfolio, and her talent jumps off the page! Truly beautiful work in every single photo. In addition to being a wonderful hair & make-up artist, however, I think there a few special traits that set Yisell apart from others in her industry, of which (1) her professionalism, (2) welcoming, congenial personality and (3) genuine care for her clients, are just a few. - Professionalism: Yisell is extremely timely and organized. Every time we worked together she was on time, and we were never rushed with any of the services. In fact, on the wedding day we were about an hour ahead of schedule, which was wonderful. Also, as I went back and forth on which services to purchase for my wedding day, she was very accommodating with all of the changes, did not pressure me in one direction over the other, and was very prompt with ensuring everything was captured in our updated contract. A huge help for any bride trying to stay on top of contracts and finances! - Positive Personality and Energy: Yisell has this ability to connect with, and make whomever she’s working with, instantly feel at home and comfortable. I was always genuinely excited before each of our beauty appointments because she’s just an absolutely lovely person to be around! On the morning of my wedding she brought the perfect amount of excitement and positivity, which is exactly what a bride wants as they prepare for the big day! - Care for Clients: I had a few special requests for my wedding day, (i.e., including my young nieces in the getting ready process), and Yisell very graciously and willingly accommodated them without any hesitations or concerns. She understood that having the girls there was important to me, and truly went above and beyond to make them feel extra special and included during the big day. Each of them independently shared that getting ready was one of their favorite parts of the wedding, and Yisell was a key part in shaping those memories for them. Yisell loves her brides and will go the extra mile to make your day extra special. I would highly recommend her to any bride, and hope to work with her again soon in the future for all my special occasions which are yet to come! Her email exchanges were incredibly professional, and I felt so assured that even with COVID I would be totally safe in her hands. She showed up early, and made me look and feel so gorgeous, as well as my mother and mother-in-law. Yisell has mastered the balance of natural but special - I felt like the most sparkly version of myself all evening long. I cannot wait to work with her again for our larger ceremony next year!

ever worked with for both! I worked with Yisell for over 2 years in advance for my wedding hair and makeup - -both close and afar. Living in Baltimore when I booked her, I was able to come down and do a trial run for hair and makeup. She was easy going, accommodating, and sweet. 2 Years later, she still had all her notes, answers about 20 questions leading up to the event, and showed up ready to go as if no time had passed. She handled my bridal party with great accommodation - - from indecisive hair styles, to apprehension around makeup. She was light, calming, and accommodating. I am on the verge of 40 - - and not feeling my most beautiful self of life. Given that this is my first wedding, I was so concerned about hair and makeup. Hands down - the best hair and makeup of my life. I felt BEAUTIFUL. Natural, yet radiant. so took into account the shooting style of our photographer, making sure I looked great both in person and in pictures. Yisell and her second artist (thank you Sarah!) were ahead of schedule the entire wedding day, which made the morning relaxed and easy. Love her and can’t recommend her enough.

She listens to what you have in mind and delivers that vision. Even more, she is so sweet and genuine and you can tell she really cares about her clients. I truly enjoyed my time sitting in the chair and getting ready. Oh and she is great with moms too! I would definitely recommend Yisell whenever you want to get dolled up!

During planning, we had to make some adjustments to our day-of schedule and Yisell was great about working with us to adjust her schedule to fit our needs. The day of, Yisell (and her assistant) did not disappoint. They came to our getting ready location on time and made my bridal party and my mother look absolutely beautiful. For my own hair and makeup, Yisell made it look flawless and it lasted all night long. Yisell has a great sense of what the right shades of makeup for different skin tones are. My family has a dark tan complexion and my bridal party and husband (to whom she also applied makeup to, in order to reduce his undereye circles and give him some color, so he didn’t look as washed out in photographs) all have pale and olive complexions. And, on the day of, my father had a terrible cold sore come up and her (unscheduled) makeup application to it made it look like he had nothing there at all. I am so glad that I found Yisell to do my wedding day look, I recommend her to brides in the DMV and I look forward to using her services in the future!

She inquired about my makeup routines and actively listened as I described my vision for my wedding look. We corresponded via email frequently leading up to the wedding. She sent a detailed beauty schedule for the morning of the wedding, and was flexible in adjusting the times when I had a time change with our transportation. She even walked me through the process of choosing clip-in extensions to make my wedding day updo fuller and more dramatic, a decision I made rather last-minute. The day of the wedding, Yisell and Sarah arrived at my hotel room right on time, took control, and knew exactly where to set up in the room for the best lighting. They were professional, fun, and upbeat and added to the celebratory atmosphere of the whole morning. They both stayed right on schedule, and had my entire bridal entourage looking gorgeous with time to spare. Yisell worked my extensions (which, because of her knowledge and advice, matched my hair color perfectly) into my updo so that you could not tell at all that they were in there, and my makeup was exactly what I had envisioned. Both hair and makeup lasted throughout the entire evening, even after-party bar-hopping and a late-night trip to Wawa! Yisell understood and executed my vision better than any other stylist I have worked with. And nothing beats your brand new husband raving to you all evening about how beautiful you look. I highly recommend Yisell if you want to feel absolutely beautiful and sexy on your wedding day!
