Yona Shaw - Makeup Artist

I met Yona through a friend and signed up for a photo shoot for our Save The Date photos. We had our allotted time Moved four times, two of them were because I was sick and did not want to pass it on, the others were because she double booked herself for a bigger gig. I would suggest that you pre-scout the area that you would like to take photos at because otherwise you will spend most of your time walking around trying to find the right light. Though she had told me that she did not have time to do my makeup, she and her husband expressed that the makeup that I paid to get done with another company was do-able. I would suggest walking into the shoot with "thick skin" as in every few minutes I was reminded to suck in my stomach, pull back my shoulders or angle my neck in such a manner you cannot see my "double chin". I explained to her that some of this is due to the fabric of the dress and not myself. But the other half was due to pandemic weight that I was consciously trying to loose. The photos that we ended up using were the ones that we suggested and arranged. We cut the shoot short because a girl can only be told so many times to "suck it in" before she wants to loose her temper. We paid about $250-$300 for a one hour shoot without makeup application and some edited photos. I deleted said number and put some. I do not feel for the price we paid, time spent was adequate for the price we paid.
