The band was formed in 2007 by a group of 90s kids with a passion for the music of their childhood. Bringing together their diverse backgrounds and raw talents, they play rip-roaring shows that make all the memories of the decade come flooding back. You Ought to Know offers couples a professional service and can play across their wedding experience. From ceremony to reception, they work to tailor their sets to couples’ tastes. They also provide MC services to keep the night moving between the music.

during their breaks were amazing. We are so incredibly happy with how well the band fit with our wedding. We danced the whole time! Incredibly easy to work with and very fast response. I 1000% recommended them.

on the dance floor, this band is for you! They absolutely shredded - what an amazing group of talented individuals. All of the most epic 90s songs that made the nostalgia sooooo REAL. My grandmother said, "I have never seen people attack a dance floor like they did at your wedding" and I think that adequately describes the night- people were sprinting back to the dance floor from the drink line/bathroom song after song because these guys are THAT GOOD. Our guests were on their hands and knees begging them to play more at the end of the night. My husband and I could be considered music snobs honestly, and my god this was the best money we spent for our entire day. Victor was an absolute pleasure to work with and was so kind and communicative. We ended up booking them for the DJ package too, so they did the music for our ceremony and MCd our reception- which was absolutely worth it. If you're thinking about booking them, this is your sign to absolutely, 100% do it. Thank you, YouOughtaKnow Band for making our wedding unforgettable!!

riends and family kept coming up to us all night asking who the band was. What's great about this band is that they appeal to all generations with songs everyone loves, but aren't just the songs played at every wedding ever. We couldn't have made a better decision.

hey answered for me from the beginning. They are a great investment because they also acted as MC for the evening and helped things run on schedule in addition to bringing great entertainment. They also play a ton of the classics in addition to 90s songs so we had people of all ages on the dance floor all night long! I would highly recommend working with them!

ade the entire process super easy. We used them for music during our ceremony (they played our spotify music from their equipment) and then they played our reception. People did not leave the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG! One of my favorite parts from our wedding was during the band breaks, they would play a preset playlist from spotify to keep the dancing going, and members of the band actually came out to join the party on the dance floor! These guys were an absolute blast and people are still talking about how incredible the band was. You Oughta Know was easily one of the best choices we made for our vendors the entire wedding planning process.

pipes impressed all our guests and we received endless compliments on their performance. Victor was super helpful planning out all the logistics and song selections leading up to the big day, and did a great job managing the sound tech, announcements, and general flow of the evening. We also used Victor as our pianist for the ceremony which worked out great. I think the band was definitely the most memorable and unique aspect of our reception. Highly recommend!

e floor was packed and rowdy from the very first song. Talented, fun, and accommodating - they were perfect. We are still getting compliments almost a month after the event. Victor handled communications during the planning phase; he was responsive and offered many helpful suggestions along the way. Bands can make or break your event and You Oughta Know definitely made ours. So happy with our decision to book them!
