Working with Andy was absolutely seamless and he made sure everything was exactly how we wanted and even more! We could not have had our perfect day without Young Love and The Thrills! My husband and I went to see them perform at Capo basement before signing the contact, so he felt confident in their vibe too. He loved it and was so excited for the wedding. The band manager was very easy to work with, and very personable. Critically for us, we had a same-sex wedding between two men and we wanted to make sure that we worked with vendors that treated our wedding exactly the same as all others. We felt absolute support and celebration from all of the band members, who it was lovely to see are also very diverse and eclectic in their makeup. The band was an attraction, but it really felt like they were there to support us as the couple; and to help make sure everyone was having a blast. If I ever get the chance, I’ll be “thrilled” to book them again!

They also handled the full audio setup for our ceremony. From a logistics perspective, they knocked it out of the park. Our ceremony was outdoors and on the water - and it was super windy. Guests could hear our officiant, our vows, and every reading. I feel SO grateful to Andy and the whole YLATT team for that. I could not recommend working with them more highly!

Furthermore, YLATT has competitive rates and was very easy to work with. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID but Andy was very easy to work with throughout the process. Then a few of them transitioned into a jazz trio with soft tunes for the cocktail hour. Leading up to the wedding Andy was SO responsive and a pleasure to work with. You can tell he and his bandmates are SO passionate at what they do which truly excited us and all of our guests. They mix songs like a nighttime radio DJ would, so they have custom mixes that blend Beyonce into Bruno Mars into Jackson 5, seamlessly. Most bands play a song, it ends, people clap. Maybe it transitions into the next song - but they truly go in and out of songs and blend them and ohhh it’s a party! They played a lot of pop / club songs perfectly with traditional “band” songs. Not to mention, the members were so positive, high energy, joyful, and rocked their instruments till the last dance. For speeches and dancing, there were no mic malfunctions, static, amplifier pops, etc. Want the best 9 piece band you could ever find? Hire them now!!!

GREAT TIME - Our wedding was two months ago and to this day, all my guests said that the band was the highlight (and me, of course). We went to see YLATT perform throughout our engagement (in Somerville and Southie) and each time they were amazing. Andy always said hi and spoke to us during and after sets. We did our due diligence and went to see around 5 or 6 live bands including YLATT at CAPO in Southie where they pulled off getting the young crowd out on the dance floor, the entire time they where playing. After seeing them at CAPO, we wondered if they were the right band for our black tie optional wedding with a mix of both 30-somethings and 50’s + – but they DEFINITELY were. They were polished, gorgeous, and just cool. Andy is an absolute pleasure to work with and will be your POC from the initial contact to the wedding day, and EVERYTHING in between. As Andy is a member of the band, you aren’t passed off from the sales rep to the coordinator without ever having contact with the band and he will work with you to make the pricing work for both you and the band, set the style and accommodate with the band formulation to suit your needs. This is truly a one stop shop for all your event needs. YLATT provided our ceremony (guitarist), cocktail hour (two guitarists), dinner set (full 10-piece band) and an extremely versatile dancing set (full band). From the first dance to the final song with rock classics, to hip hop (classics and new age), to pop and EVERYTHING in between, they kept our guests on the dance floor all night and were beyond amazing. The #1 compliment we receive from our guests is how amazing the band was. There literally wasn't enough room on the dance floor. The set-list had a perfect mix of top 40, classics, and hip-hop. My single greatest regret is not bringing them on our honeymoon for a week's worth of fantastic live music.
