Young Love and The Thrills

ell with our venue. The dance floor was FULL all night. We hired the 9 piece band (horns and 3 singers!). The tech sound was fabulous and they worked so well with our group. Don’t give it a 2nd thought and hire them! Everyone raved about our band!!! The singers were fabulous but so were the guitars, drums, etc! We also had the sax and keyboard play for the cocktail hour and they also sounded awesome!! They are worth every penny!

d the keyboard for our ceremony and a jazz-trio for the cocktail hour. They played the piano versions of the songs we wanted them to play for the processional and recessional of our ceremony and learned songs for us for the reception. Andy was super communicative and accommodating to all our questions leading up to the big day. We can’t thank him and all the band members enough for everything. We highly recommend!

Southie! On our wedding day, danced and sang even harder all night long and people are still talking about how awesome they were! Working with Andy was absolutely seamless and he made sure everything was exactly how we wanted and even more! We could not have had our perfect day without Young Love and The Thrills! They came highly recommended from our trusted wedding planner, and she could not have been more right! BEST. BAND. EVER!!!!

email, even before securing a venue! I am so lucky they were free and we booked them ASAP. My husband and I went to see them perform at Capo basement before signing the contact, so he felt confident in their vibe too. He loved it and was so excited for the wedding. Let me tell you-- THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I had tens of guests asking me who our band was and remarking that we had the best wedding band they had ever heard. You are assured to have an electric dance floor if you go with YLATT!!

and stamina of all of the band members. Half a year later, guests get in touch with us wanting to know more details about the band and rave about how amazing they were. The band manager was very easy to work with, and very personable. Critically for us, we had a same-sex wedding between two men and we wanted to make sure that we worked with vendors that treated our wedding exactly the same as all others. We felt absolute support and celebration from all of the band members, who it was lovely to see are also very diverse and eclectic in their makeup. The band was an attraction, but it really felt like they were there to support us as the couple; and to help make sure everyone was having a blast. If I ever get the chance, I’ll be “thrilled” to book them again!

sked for upbeat music that would keep our guests dancing all night, and man did they deliver. They were absolutely fantastic to work with from start to finish. Working through the music for the prelude, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was an absolute breeze. Our dance floor was packed from the first song to the last - even during the break! Young Love & The Thrills was also incredibly thoughtful - changing the lyrics of “Jessie’s Girl” to “Kevin’s Girl”. It was an awesome surprise for us and our guests to dance and sing to! We can’t recommend this band enough. You must hire YLATT! It’s the best decision you’ll make for your wedding!

s perfect from start to finish. We had people all night asking for their information so they could book them for a future event. We can't thank them enough for keeping the dance floor FULL all night!! Would recommend them a million times again and again!!

lievably talented, fun, and created such a joyful vibe. The set list they built for us was a dream and we literally did not leave the dance floor once the music started. They also handled the full audio setup for our ceremony. From a logistics perspective, they knocked it out of the park. Our ceremony was outdoors and on the water - and it was super windy. Guests could hear our officiant, our vows, and every reading. I feel SO grateful to Andy and the whole YLATT team for that. I could not recommend working with them more highly!

of our planning process and Young Love did not disappoint. They are extremely talented and provide an energy and capability that we had not often experienced amidst the countless weddings we’ve attended over the years listening to a neverending stream of the same songs. Andy was very easy to work with throughout the process and we cannot overstate how amazing their performance was, particularly with our special request songs (Zombie by the Cranberries absolutely set the tone). The dance floor was packed all night and our friends and family were buzzing for days. Absolutely recommend!!!

hing was in place for the ceremony and the reception. I cannot recommend them enough.

s making sure all the details were perfect for the day-of. They were also incredibly accommodating when we asked to add on a ceremony guitarist and a jazz duo for cocktail hour. They were a huge part of what made our wedding an absolute blast, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

ry beginning when our wedding planner recommended them, Andy from YLATT was incredibly friendly, fun to work with and super flexible and open to our questions and thoughts. He was super communicative and responsive every step of the way throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, the simply blew all of us away. The entire band was so insanely talented, were so much fun interacting with our guests and especially my little five year old niece! They tailored the playlist to our preferences -- every single song was perfect! It was a perfect mix of everything for everyone. I truly cannot recommend them enough. I didn't want the evening to end and that's in extremely large part to YLATT. We are all still talking about how amazing they were. I want to throw a big party just to be able to experience the magic they created on our special day again! Thank you to Andy and the entire band for making our special day so incredibly memorable. We are forever grateful to you all!

from friends, and we choose them based on their style/set list which is a bit more differentiated than some of the other bands in the Boston area. Furthermore, YLATT has competitive rates and was very easy to work with. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID but Andy was very easy to work with throughout the process. He stayed in constant communication throughout the planning phases and was always quick to respond to our questions. The night of our wedding, YLATT had the all of our guest dancing the entire time and we received countless feedback from our guests that YLATT was the best wedding band they have seen. YLATT also learned a few songs for us and absolutely nailed it.

er got tired of one song. Andy was wonderful to work with and kindly accommodated our request to have my dad sit in on the drums for a song. Do yourself a favor and book them ASAP! You will not regret it.

ing all night. They were terrific. Many thanks to those 9 band members who made my daughter's wedding so much fun, thanks for playing great songs, and even more so, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for learning the song for the Dad/Daughter dance. It was beautiful and beyond special and I can't thank you enough.

and was! We had them for our ceremony, cocktail reception, AND reception. They are SO versatile and talented... for the ceremony, Andy played our hotel's 120 year old Steinway piano! Then a few of them transitioned into a jazz trio with soft tunes for the cocktail hour. During reception, they were able to set an elegant mood for dinner and then an absolute ROCKING dance floor for post-dinner time. Leading up to the wedding Andy was SO responsive and a pleasure to work with. You can tell he and his bandmates are SO passionate at what they do which truly excited us and all of our guests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

ue to COVID. We decided to hold our ceremony this year and postpone our larger reception to next year, and we were still able to have them play at our ceremony. We tried to preserve as much as we could from our original plan, and we are so grateful that they were willing to help us do that even for just our ceremony. We can't wait to have them be part of our celebration next year as well!

dding band. Andy was fantastic during the planning process. He was responsive and spent time on the phone with me making sure we were on the same page. Day of, they was just fantastic. They learned our first dance song for us and nailed it. They were so professional and so fun. Everyone had the best time. If you're lucky enough to have them help you celebrate your big day, you will not be disappointed!

t wedding band they have ever heard. Andy and the band really made our wedding the best night of our lives!!!

nk and thinking everything sounds good) - they are the BEST. They provide what most bands don’t - song mixing. They mix songs like a nighttime radio DJ would, so they have custom mixes that blend Beyonce into Bruno Mars into Jackson 5, seamlessly. Most bands play a song, it ends, people clap. Maybe it transitions into the next song - but they truly go in and out of songs and blend them and ohhh it’s a party! They played a lot of pop / club songs perfectly with traditional “band” songs. Not to mention, the members were so positive, high energy, joyful, and rocked their instruments till the last dance. For speeches and dancing, there were no mic malfunctions, static, amplifier pops, etc. Want the best 9 piece band you could ever find? Hire them now!!!

k, pop, jazz, r&b and they played our requested song list perfectly. YLATT interacted with us and our guests all night. People were going crazy, like it was a concert. AMAZING to work with - Andy is the best. I had a song list to see what they could play prior to booking and he highlighted all the ones that were in their repertoire (which was a ton). He was professional, funny and never made me feel like a crazy bride for asking too many questions. GREAT TIME - Our wedding was two months ago and to this day, all my guests said that the band was the highlight (and me, of course). So many people texted me the next day to ask who the band was and that made me so happy. YLATT was never cheesy, always professional, and they handle wedding planning with ease. We went to see YLATT perform throughout our engagement (in Somerville and Southie) and each time they were amazing. Andy always said hi and spoke to us during and after sets. Bands are an investment and this one is so worth it. I can't stress that enough. YLATT, thank you for giving us the best day ever.

assure you, no matter the style and vision you have in mind for your special day (or any event), working with Andy, YLATT can pull it off. We did our due diligence and went to see around 5 or 6 live bands including YLATT at CAPO in Southie where they pulled off getting the young crowd out on the dance floor, the entire time they where playing. What we saw was just one of their many different configurations, so we worked with Andy to find the best fit for our style and vision. After seeing them at CAPO, we wondered if they were the right band for our black tie optional wedding with a mix of both 30-somethings and 50’s + – but they DEFINITELY were. They were polished, gorgeous, and just cool. Andy is an absolute pleasure to work with and will be your POC from the initial contact to the wedding day, and EVERYTHING in between. As Andy is a member of the band, you aren’t passed off from the sales rep to the coordinator without ever having contact with the band and he will work with you to make the pricing work for both you and the band, set the style and accommodate with the band formulation to suit your needs. This is truly a one stop shop for all your event needs. YLATT provided our ceremony (guitarist), cocktail hour (two guitarists), dinner set (full 10-piece band) and an extremely versatile dancing set (full band). From the first dance to the final song with rock classics, to hip hop (classics and new age), to pop and EVERYTHING in between, they kept our guests on the dance floor all night and were beyond amazing. The #1 compliment we receive from our guests is how amazing the band was. I can’t express enough that working with one person from the beginning to end is the ONLY way to go and that Andy and YLATT is the very best band you could have for your special event.

thout them! They have everyone dancing the entire night - even people who are not the dancing type were tearing up the dance floor. From the time they took the stage during dinner, people couldn't help but start dancing. They are such phenomenally talented musicians with such amazing range and variation in their repertoire. People are still raving to me about how amazing Young Love & the Thrills were at our wedding and how much fun they had because of them. Honestly, hands down one of the best decisions we made was to hire them as our band. Thank you YLATT for making our wedding unforgettable and so much fun!!

secure them for our wedding, which didn’t even have a date yet. Before all this, I had a preconceived notion that a wedding band was a group of old people playing songs like We Are Family to a lackluster crowd, but then I saw and heard YLATT play for the first time. They’re not just a wedding band, they’re an experience – a live show where the entertainers are close enough to walk out into the crowd and join the audience. Our goal when wedding planning was to have the most people on the dance floor for as long as possible. Now that the day has passed, we’re confident we achieved that goal. Our wedding would not have been half as fun without this band. Booking Young Love and the Thrills is a necessity.

w they were going to be great and they did not disappoint. The wedding would not have been nearly as much fun without them. The way that they engaged with us but more importantly the rest of our guests was truly amazing. If you want to hire a band to do your wedding/event, hire Young Love & The Thrills. You will not be disappointed!

even grandmothers!) were out on the dance floor. Extremely talented bunch! Someone asked if we could have an anniversary party, just so we could party with them all over again. Can't recommend enough!

wedding specifics so easy and handled everything very professionally. They learned our wedding song which made our first dance even more special. The band knew how to get the party started and sounded even better than the videos. We are so thrilled that we took a chance on YLATT, we couldn't be happier with our decision!!

Andy our contact was funny and down to earth, and also listened and followed through with any requests we had. They had 95% of our guests on their feet 95% of the reception - exactly what we had envisioned. Such a special privilege to have them as a part of our wedding day. No couple could possibly regret hiring YLATT, they were absolutely phenomenal, not to mention exceptionally talented!

. Andy and the rest of the band were very professional and worked with us to make sure every detail was perfect. The performance was awesome - they really made the dinner set work well for the setting and the dance portion was great. They engaged the guests and really brought the place down. People are still telling me how much they loved the band and I have other friends who are getting married that asked for their number. I would recommend them for any type of wedding as they have that much range.

. they are AMAZING! We are still hearing from people months later how much they loved the music, and how much fun they had dancing at the reception. On top of that, Andy made it a breeze throughout the entire process. From the very first conversation, I knew that we were in good hands and could rest easy knowing that the music (arguably the most important part of the reception) would be handled to perfection! I wish I was planning another wedding so I could book YLATT again, and have told anyone and everyone I can how awesome they are. 10/10, highly recommend, you NEED them at your wedding!!!

the band. Not only are they talented, they do an amazing job MC'ing. Their performance of our first dance song, Into the Mystic, was beautiful. The entire planning process and communication with the band was super smooth and trouble-free. We went to see a YLATT show in Boston before booking them to make sure they were great. We knew immediately into the first few songs that they were the one. Both we and our guests agree - BEST WEDDING BAND EVER HANDS DOWN! I highly recommend these guys - extremely talented, professional, and overall awesome people to work with!

em in person at a bar in Somerville which confirmed that we HAD to have them play our wedding. Andy was super responsive, helpful and supportive from the moment we reached out through our wedding day, which everyone knows is an invaluable trait of a vendor during the hectic planning process. I really can't put into words how fun, outgoing and talented YLTT is. They play the BEST songs, dance and interact with everyone. My entire family and all of our friends were blown away - all asking us for their information to book them. They ended our reception with SHOUT and it was the highlight of the night - the lead singer coming out to the dance floor and literally belting the song while jumping, dancing, lying on the ground. My husband and I are music junkies so the band selection was super important to us. We could not have imagined a better band or experience for our reception.

act with them through the wedding day, they were incredibly professional and came as advertised. Their manager is responsive and accommodating, and the band is incredibly talented. They were energized and fun onstage during our reception, and the cocktail hour music they played was fantastic as well.We received dozens of comments from friends and family about how great our band was, and I would HIGHLY recommend YLATT for any wedding.

ss customizing the times during which the band would play, both during dinner and during the dancing part, and request specific songs. We had two guitarists play background music during our cocktail hour and during dinner, and then Andy did a great job queuing-up toasts and announcing them during dinner. They followed our timeline to the T. On top of all of that, they were just so damn talented. They kept our wedding guests dancing like crazy all night and we since have had tons of requests from friends with upcoming weddings. We could not have asked for a better band.

is September! Everyone was up and dancing the ENTIRE night from the first song to the last! They were professional and of course extremely talented. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to make a lasting impression on their guests. Everyone after the wedding couldn't stop talking about how great the band was.

ght! Friends told me the next day they couldn't leave the dance floor to get a drink because the music was just so good! The set Young Love and The Thrills played over dinner was so beautiful and so many of our guest were complementary. HIGHLY recommend adding the horns, they brought such a cool vibe to the night! The two lead singers, whose voices are ones of angels, were so great coming out on the dance floor later in the night and dancing and singing with our guests and so professional when doing so! Needless to say we had an absolute blast on the dance floor. They ended the night with Shipping Up to Boston which BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN!!!! I could not recommend YLATT more. I would pick them over and over again!

time of our lives. So many of our guests came up to us afterward and told us they were the best wedding band they had ever seen. As soon as the band started playing, everyone left their seats. There literally wasn't enough room on the dance floor. The set-list had a perfect mix of top 40, classics, and hip-hop. I will never forget the sight of my husband's grandmother dancing to Notorious B.I.G.! The energy of this band is amazing. They MCed the night perfectly so that everything ran smoothly and everyone was having fun. I can't say enough nice things about Young Love. If you're willing to splurge a little, do yourself a favor and hire them because they MADE this wedding. I want to throw an anniversary party just so that I can hire them again!!

t Deloitte holiday parties. We and our guests were blown away by how amazing they are. Some guests were shocked by some of the vocals they heard, they thought they were recordings initially! Andy was very easy to work with, very funny guy. They played everything we wanted to hear including the hip hop mix I requested. All of our guests were on the dance floor while the band played and we actually regret not booking them for longer! Thank you Young Love and The Thrills!

ly kind individuals. They managed to listen to our vision, while adding in their own flair. Andy, who handles all communication for the group, was extremely responsive, and replied to my emails in just a few hours. After our wedding, the top compliment we received was regarding the talent of Young Love and The Thrills. Book them if available. They are worth every penny.

all attendants of my wedding couldn't stop talking about the band.

nd always responded to emails within the day! They were great at getting guests onto the dance floor and put on a heck of a show! We will be going to Boston to hear them play again! I would recommend these guys for any event! They’re absolutely phenomenal!!!

tting the party started! To say that they were amazing is an understatement. They were easy to work with, were so organized (they provided a form about a month before the big day that really gave them an idea of our taste), and they were all very talented musicians. Not only were they organized but they were also able to adjust on the fly. For example, one of our guests requested the microphone from the band and I joined in signing with the band mid-song, and they didn't miss a beat! Having YLATT as our wedding band was one of the best decisions we've ever made and we HIGHLY recommend having them at yours! Go Friars

and the entire band. They were by far the most pleasant, enjoyable and easy to work with vendors I encountered. After ensuring a relaxed smooth jazz vibe for cocktail hour, they had everyone on the dance floor before the salad course was served. Seamless transitions were made from Frank Sinatra to Childish Gambino, a feat I could not have predicted or loved more. Nearly every guest has commented on how fantastic YLATT was and by the end of the night, they were out of business cards as all our friends have already poached them for their own weddings. My single greatest regret is not bringing them on our honeymoon for a week's worth of fantastic live music. They know how to feel out a crowd, are entertaining, professional and beyond fun, so if your friends like to dance, this is the ONLY band you need to consider.
