Had the Young Pinstripe's for a second line at our wedding last week. Showed up on time and led a great second line with great music. No complaints!
Young Pin is the best! Herbert is great and responsive. They were on time, professional, and blew our guests away! Highly recommend
Extremely unprofessional, will only communicate via text and there were many occasions where I had to text several times in a row to get any response. The manger texted me to tell...
me to tip, as someone who worked in the service industry I think this is extremely rude. I paid him his remaining balance the night of our wedding and planned on mailing a tip after our wedding, but don’t worry they don’t “suggest” tips, they demand them. Seconds before entering our venue I was stopped by the manager who was DEMANDING a tip, I tried to explain that I was about to have my first dance with my husband and he had been paid in full. I fully intended to mail a tip up until this point, even with the distasteful previous text. He then demanded my husband give him a tip right away and my husband cleared out his wallet to appease him. Tacky, disrespectful and RUDE is an understatement. I wish someone would’ve told me this before I hired them.
I loved working with Young PinStripe Brass Band! We used them for our secondline midway our reception and it was truly one of the highlights of the reception. Herbert, the manager,...
was very easy to work with and easy to get in touch with. They were very professional and punctual and certainly gave our reception a different kind of energy that every guest enjoyed. I would highly recommend Young PinStripe Brass Band!
Young Pinstripes did a spectacular job as our second-line band. When we were initially scouting out bands for our end-of-night parade, we tried to meet up with Herbert, who I belie...
ve is the band leader. It was a little dicey setting up a "formal" meeting so we ended up just checking out one of his shows later that night. They had fantastic energy so we basically cut a deal with him then. Herbert is very responsive through text, so we had no problems getting in touch with him. The band showed up early to our wedding and got ready outside, and they brought the energy to the second line. It was an unforgettable evening for us and for our guests, and I am so happy YPS made that happen. Would highly recommend.
We reached out to YPS to play for our second line at our wedding and I would 100% do it again! They were fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We did ask that t...
hey play a few songs that everyone knew and the last song that they played was Hey Baby and I can't tell you how much fun it was. Everyone was singing along. It was also my birthday and they play, yes you guessed it, Happy Birthday. They are seriously incredible. Right on time and very professional. Great group!
We were very disappointed. Band started late and left early. Paid for 30 min. (10:30 - 11:00 pm). They started playing at 10:37 . Said they were waiting on the DJ to stop. Then 15...
min later as the bride & groom were dancing around the room, the band just abruptly exited the building before 11:55. We didn’t know what happened. Totally SHOCKED and caught off guard! This was our gift to the bride/groom.
Simply amazing! It was so fun and they were so
easy to deal with throughout the process. Thank you for the memories and good times.
The Young Pinstripes were recommended by a couple of brides that had used them for their second line band. Herbert and the guys were awesome! They were there early and played us ou...
t of the Chicory and into the street. They sounded amazing and got the entire crowd into the second line. We would recommend them to anyone who wanted a second line band!
Top notch. Showed up early, played their hearts out. Easily the hit of our wedding.
I recommend booking directly through YPS as opposed to booking through an agency; the informa...
tion from the agency we used was a little slow to disseminate to the band. But once we started working directly through the band, all was aces.
We loved working with Young Pinstripe Brass Band and definitely recommend them. Thank you, gentlemen!
The Young Pinstripes played for our second line for our wedding last month and they were FANTASTIC! Reasonably priced and very laid back. They made our second line wonderful and th...
ey are so talented. Thanks, guys! What fun it was to have you join our day!
The Young Pinstripes Brass Band was the band we used for our second line in New Orleans. The saxophonist, Robert, also learned a song for me and played it for the wedding processi...
onal. Herbert Young is the person who coordinates everything, and he was very helpful. His preferred method of communication is text, which suited me perfectly. I was an out of town bride, so was a little worried having never met Herbert, but the band was at the venue before me and were the best part of our wedding! We had so much fun dancing in the second line all the way down Royal St and up to Bourbon St. The Young Pinstripes played the whole time and sounded fantastic! Their price was reasonable (be prepared to pay in cash as you would with any second line band), they were on-time, sounded great and made the second line so much fun! If you're getting married in New Orleans, you HAVE to have a second line. And The Young Pinstripes are a great brass band to choose!
