Peggy did an absolutely wonderful job with my wedding makeup. We had a trial so we could capture the look I wanted and she was very through and made me feel like she truly cared and wanted to make sure what I wore complimented my skin and eye color. On my wedding day, she once again provided me with the most perfect wedding makeup! Peggy is very kind, funny, and knowledgeable and I highly recommend her for your wedding or any event! Truly cannot say enough good things about her and her services.

Peggy was amazing from start to finish. She answered all my questions leading up to my wedding day. She had great recommendations for other vendors I still needed. Arrived on time, bright and early! She is so knowledgeable and easy to be around. She was able to address a variety of blemish and skin issues and made everyone look and feel gorgeous without feeling like you had a ton of makeup on. My look lasted all day! From 7am to 9pm in the August heat .. I only needed to reapply my lipstick and that's from all the newlywed kisses 😘😚 I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a makeup artist for their Big Day or any special event.

I would highly recommend this vendor! When I first met Peggy, her makeup was flawless and not overdone, so I knew I was in good hands. She was pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. Her communication was prompt and dependable. I like how she asked for my approval for each step- foundation, eyes, etc. so I could approve as we went. No surprises at the end when it’s too late. I requested a slight change in my eye makeup which was not a problem. Pricing was slightly below other vendors. The name of her business said it all! I loved my look-me, only better. She is capable of the heavy made up look if that is your preference, but that’s not me. I felt beautiful and got many compliments on my make up. I lucked out, just picking someone from the internet. Choose this vendor, you will be glad you did.

She was amazing! She made sure to meet my whole bridal party’s needs! She was very patient with the flower girl. She made sure to explain everything she was doing to all of the bridal party. I asked for natural make up and she made sure to make that happen! It held for MANY MANY hours afterwards! I would hire her over and over again. Loved her!

Look no further - Peggy was incredible! She was punctual, professional, and so genuinely kind. She made sure to time everything perfectly so she got to all of us, but she didn’t rush. I did five trials from different vendors and each time my comment was “it does not look like me or I look like a mannequin” When Peggy did my trial, I knew based on the applications and techniques she used, paired with meticulously chosen products to showcase my skin color, she was the one for me. My makeup looked so natural but highly sophisticated at the same time. I don’t know how to explain it but it definitely looks like me but a sophisticated version of me. It was hot on my wedding day but my makeup stayed, no smudging, not a single touch up was needed throughout the event. I danced my butt off and I still looked good till after the party. Peggy did my makeup at my sisters wedding and she made me feel like a million bucks! The only things I told her were that I wanted "soft glam" and eyeshadow on the brown/ gold spectrum since I'm brunette. She DELIVERED. Peggy and her team were absolutely incredible for my wedding at North Beach Resort in May 2022. I had 15 women I needed them to get hair and makeup done for by 2pm. Peggy never blinked an eye during planning about the large number of women and was extremely easy to communicate with. She provided great tips for me to share with my ladies to make sure the day went smoothly. Peggy and her team showed up early and were extremely professional. Peggy never rushed or made me feel rushed while doing my makeup and was so sweet the whole time. Peggy and her team are absolutely amazing!! I had my 3 daughters along with my ( the brides) make up done by Peggy and her associate Mary, and their name says it all... YOU. Only better. Our makeup was done to perfection. I have one daughter who struggles with acne, not one blemish appeared. Peggy was professional, friendly, and it felt like I had known her a lot longer than the hour that I spent with her for my pre-wedding trial makeup run. She was thorough and honest, telling me her thoughts but also asking mine all along the way... the end result was exactly what I had been looking for in my wedding look. I don't live near Myrtle Beach, so my planning and selecting of vendors has been very heavily dependent on reviews and recommendations. Peggy (You. Only Better), was not only recommended and highly rated through The Knot, but by my venue as well as our photographer... they did not steer me wrong. Peggy Boodro is the best!! The name of her business is exactly what she offers and provides. She gives honest feedback and points out the things to cover and the areas to enhance making you the best look possible for your big day. We hired her for our daughter's wedding and she did me (MOB) as well as all the bridesmaids and our gorgeous bride. So often, you see the bride and she doesn't look like herself. Peggy was so easy to work with. I did my makeup trial with her a few days ago and was a bit nervous because I don’t wear makeup that often other than mascara and maybe some eye liner if I’m feeling dressy. However, I had no reason to be nervous! Peggy was so great. She explained all the products she was using and how she would apply them. She also explain how some of the colors and products will appear on my skin tone. She listened to everything I wanted and kept checking to ensure I was happy with the results. Peggy also added notes to her file for some of the little things i would like to do differently on my wedding day. The makeup overall came out great and I would definitely recommend Peggy. Peggy & her assistant were great!! I had my consultation with Peggy, she walked me through the entire process, asking me questions about how I currently wear make-up. Confirming that I was actually happy with her work, and not brushing me off or doing a "rush" job. The day of, she arrived, ON TIME, because I see not all actually arrive on time, based on previous reviews when we were looking, so this is very important to mention, got all set up, and got right to work on the girls. Everyone was happy with how their make up lasted throughout the day. We had pictures at 3:30, and the ceremony was at 6p! I would recommend hiring Peggy!

I wish Peggy would do my make up every day! But if I can’t have that, at least she was able to do it on the biggest day of my life. On my wedding day, Peggy was more than punctual and arrived 15 minutes before scheduled. In fact, she even arrived at the venue before I did! She provided a perfect map of my face and used products and colors to elevate my natural beauty. She did the same for my sister (my only bridesmaid, hello Covid brides!) and best and most hilariously of all, gave us instruction on what she called Proper Crying Posture, so we wouldn’t ruin our faces with our tears! Peggy is awesome!! We could not have had asked for a better make up artist for my wedding. We all loved our make up and couldn’t have been happier. I don’t have the best skin and I had an active break out and she somehow made my skin look flawless! I like full coverage and she was able to do that and still keep me looking natural and not cakey. I didn’t even have to show Peggy pictures of the look I wanted, it was like she knew exactly what would look good with my skin tone and eye and hair color and she nailed it! I also liked how she would occasionally show us a mirror and make sure we liked how she was doing our make up. I chose to do fake lashes and she took her time and showed me many different styles and how they would look on my eyes. She never rushed and took her time on each one of us and was so professional and friendly. I highly recommend Peggy!!!

From your first initial contact with her about booking, the trial run before your wedding and the actual day of Peggy exceeds every expectation when it comes to a professional makeup artist. Peggy is the most incredible makeup artist. Artist is definitely the right word too!!!! Peggy is so patient, and explained everything she was doing to me while she applied the makeup. It made me feel so at ease and comfortable as someone who doesn't wear makeup very often. Peggy clearly cared about how I felt, and often asked me how different makeups felt on my face. Throughout the process she regularly showed me what she was doing and accepted feedback easily. Peggy worked hard to make sure I was happy and comfortable. I really felt like I was getting the VIP treatment being made up by her. I have trouble with lashes, and after our trial we realized that I could do individual clusters of fake lashes, but not strips. These are incredibly beautiful, but way more difficult to apply. Peggy PERFECTLY applied those lash clusters and they lasted all night. They never bothered me once!!! Further, the quality of the makeup she uses is GREAT! I am not a makeup person, but it was clearly excellent quality because it lasted throughout the night, and when I was outside in the heat of July in South Carolina taking pictures. Although my entire body was sweaty, that makeup didn't go ANYWHERE! Peggy is kind, patient, thoughtful, and dedicated to her profession. I received endless compliments all night on my makeup; and so did my mother, mother in law, and my bridesmaids. My father CRIED when he saw my mother, that is how beautiful Peggy made her! Throughout the entire process, she explained her color choices and techniques and even shared tips that I could use during my everyday make up, too. She was kind, courteous, and so open to feedback. I hired Peggy for our upcoming wedding after receiving a recommendation from a trusted friend, and after reviewing the work she has done with other brides. Peggy let me know that she does trials prior to the wedding to really perfect the look for wedding day. I decided to do a trial because I wanted to know how the makeup would hold up for outdoor pictures and to make sure the look I was going for would be achievable. I HIGHLY recommend Peggy and I HIGHLY recommend doing a trial. The makeup trial allowed Peggy and I to work together without any constraints on time to really get the look we were going for. I have such sensitive eyes and Peggy worked with me to find the best way to give my lashes definition and feel comfortable. I have been searching for the right way to do my lips for years, and she found the absolute perfect color for my lips. Doing the trial allowed for Peggy to look at the dress, go over the colors and overall theme of the wedding, and what jewelry we would be doing. That extra time and information allowed us to really find a makeup look that will compliment me and the whole wedding day itself! I cannot say enough how valuable the trial was, but also just how wonderful, sweet, and thoughtful Peggy is. She is truly a gem!!!! She happily did a Saturday trial for us to do portraits and followed up after the trial and before the wedding to make sure everything was covered.
