This talented artist has been sketching people for most of her life, completing her first portrait at the age of two. Since then, Melita has honed her passion into a professional career as a caricature artist. After obtaining her Bachelors of Fine Arts, Melita learned to draw caricatures working at a pushcart in the streets of Boston. She later moved to California where she worked in Hollywood’s Universal Studios and further studied at the Animation Guild under former Disney Artists. Both experiences led her to perfect her quick and linear drawing techniques. Today, Melita loves nothing more than putting pen to paper to craft humorous sketches that keep guests entertained. Your Caricature Studio is located in Westbrook, ME, and is open for Bridal and Engagement Portrait Sessions and Consultations. Melita plans to host a series of drawing workshops and lessons at the studio starting this spring. Several wedding packages and services are available to choose from at Your Caricature. You and your beloved can choose a custom portrait package, where Melita will create a light-hearted sketch of you together. This picture will be an amusing memento of your special day that you can always treasure. Melita and the team can also produce drawings for your guests.
