Dr. Schenck is warm, personable, and passionate about his work. He enjoys people--and has been well-trained to take good care of them. He is an ordained pastor with degrees in religion, ministry, and strategic leadership and is authorized to legally solemnize marriages in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. He is both a pastoral care and a certified mental health coach. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, a licensed psychotherapist in private practice, for 46 years. They have two adult children and one grandchild. "Rob," as everyone knows him, has garnered only 5-star ratings from his very happy clients!

Rev. Rob was a wonderful officiant for our wedding, both due to his responsiveness to getting the ceremony planned and how well he executed the ceremony day of. It is hard to express how clear it is that this man does everything he does with love in his heart. Also to note, Rev. Rob has experience in performing hand fasting ceremonies (which he did for our ceremony).

Rev. Rob was lovely to work with and was a perfect fit for us (catholic & non- religious). We worked together on the ceremony until we had a version we were all happy with. His calm and gentle demeanor made us feel comfortable at the alter. He also stayed to sign our marriage license and take some photos after the ceremony. I highly recommend him!

Rev. Robert Schenck was fantastic! Very kind, personable and professional. We met with him a few times. He listened to our vision and ideas about our ceremony and then offered several ceremony versions to choose from and customize. It was perfect!
Reverend Robert was very best officiant for our wedding. My fiancé and I took no time to book him as soon as we had our very first session with him. I am Peruvian and I wanted to be incorporated Spanish in our wedding and he made that happen for us. He made this process very stress-free and awesome the whole time. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our wedding ceremony! Rev Robert helped us immensely with the ceremony/officiant planning process, as my now-wife and I were very unsure of how we wanted the wedding ceremony to go. Rev Robert was so thoughtful and inclusive, walking us through every step and asking us for input along the way. He even encouraged us to let our personalities and even our little inside jokes shine through during the ceremony, which was awesome! Our wedding guests got a kick out of inside jokes we included in our ceremony script and Rev Robert even got in on the little jokes with us! He had such a special way of making our ceremony feel like it was just the three of us up there, exchanging our vows with each other and we were so, so happy that he was our officiant. Finding an officiant was one of the more stressful parts of our wedding planning process, as there are so many to choose from in our state and we had no idea where to begin. We stumbled upon Rev Robert and we really feel like we were meant to find someone as amazing as he is. For couples planning your own ceremonies - do yourselves a favor and reach out to Rev Robert. It will only take a couple minutes to be drawn in by his warmth, sincerity, and passion for his work and it will be the easiest decision you have to make for your wedding.
Rev. Rob was THE BEST! All of our guests even said how amazing he was. He was so responsive and took the time to explain every detail so nothing was a surprise the day of. We felt so comfortable with him and would highly recommend him to any couple in the future!

The ceremony he made for us was incredibly beautiful, and we will remember it fondly for the rest of our lives. We spontaneously decided to elope and Rob was very happy to work with all of our ideas and requests. This day was perfect and Rob was part of a two man team (with our photographer who he only met the day of), behind the scenes, who contributed to our day being as beautiful and memorable as we experienced it! I recently photographed an elopement that Rev Rob officiated and I just wanted to come on here and say how professional and warm he was during the ceremony. If you're looking for an officiant, look no further. Rev Rob is a pleasure to work with.
Last July, my wife and I had the privilege of being able to be married by Reverend Rob. It was an absolute pleasure. The ceremony was incredibly well put together, he was always communicative about every step of the process, and truthfully had the entire experience down to an art form. When he says he has a passion for love, he genuinely means it, and it shows in his work! He has an amazing way about the way he works that allows him to be completely professional, and at the same time, entirely personal. If there was a way to rate him more than 5 stars, we would. If it comes down to needing an officiant, Reverend Rob is the best way to go.
Rev. Robert was not only my sister’s officiant this year but he was also ours. It was a pleasure working with him and having him as our officiant. He ensured we were stress-free during the whole process and was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We highly recommend Reverend Robert!!

Rev Rob was extremely organized and very very kind. We had several conversations leading up to the event and he was very conscientious and patient. Rev. Rob was hands down the easiest and best person to work with for our wedding!! He answered all of our questions, and even helped with questions you don’t even think about! His whole demeanor is loving, and welcoming. He is very respectful, down to earth, and so easy to get along with. He came an hour or so before the wedding and checked in with everyone to make sure we were good before the ceremony start. The families loved him. We are so happy that we chose Rev. Rob to officiate our wedding! If you are on the fence between him and another vendor, book him!
We had the best time working with Rev. Rob from scheduling, prewedding conversation to ceremony. He was such a pleasant person to work with! He cared about us as individuals, trying to understand who we are, so that he can reflect our cultures and values during the ceremony. As we had quite a few guests with limited ability in English, he also learned and incorporated some Korean phrases to make all the guests feel welcome. Reverend Rob was a wonderful officiant. We held an intimate ceremony, and he created a joyous atmosphere for everyone present. In addition, he was extremely responsive to all of our emails, allowing us to coordinate closely on the text of the ceremony. We moreover held a couple video calls in advance of the ceremony to go through the logistics, and also to allow him to get to know us better. Everything was very smooth, and we could not have asked for a better officiant.
Rev Rob was excellent! We had such a great experience with him even with a wedding planned in short notice. He was easy to work for and listened to everything we wanted and needed on our special day. I’m not sure where to begin, my wife and I have so many wonderful things so say about Rev. Rob. The word that comes to mind for me if I had to describe our experience would be effortless. Rev. Rob made the whole process effortless for us. He was incredibly professional, thorough, detailed, prompt and responsive. This made planning our wedding day officiant effortless.

I can't say enough amazing things about Reverend Rob! He was so amazing and caring for us throughout this process. The first time we spoke to him, both my finance and I were in agreement that he was perfect for us. He was so thoughtful and caring and honestly so flexible through out this process with us. Don't hesitate working with him you will not regret it!
Robert was a dream of a wedding officiant! My fiance (now husband) and I were a little nervous about someone we didn't know performing our marriage ceremony, but Robert not only was incredibly kind, but he was super professional and confidently navigated us through the entire process. Not to mention, many of my relatives at the wedding were commenting on how much fun he was (both during the ceremony and just general socializing). Highly recommend!
Our first meeting with Reverend Rob completely sold us on him. He is one of the most warm and genuine people you'll ever meet -- exactly what we wanted in an officiant. He worked with us from the start, making sure that the ceremony we built was exactly what we wanted. He gave us options, and he made sure we knew that he could be as flexible as we needed to make sure that the ceremony fit us perfectly. Throughout the entire process, he was a calm, guiding voice that really helped put us at ease in an obviously stressful situation. As wonderful as all of that is, I think my favorite part about Reverend Rob is that he was always excited! Reverend Rob loves love, he loves marriage, and he loves being able to play a part in bringing two people together. When we hit those points where we were starting to get a bit fed up with all of the planning, and everything started to weigh on us, one conversation with Reverend Rob would have us energized and excited again! We can't recommend Reverend Rob highly enough; he was exceptional in every way!
Reverend Rob was exactly what we were looking for! We loved him from the first time we talked with him via Zoom. He was fun and flexible to work with, and took great care in customizing our ceremony to make sure it was perfect for us. Rev Rob Schenck performed our ceremony for our April wedding and it went on perfectly! Obviously with Covid19 it was a little uncertain how our day would go but Rev Schenck was there to assure us that if we did have a small ceremony he would be there! He's a very experienced speaker and our guests commented how great he was as well. My husband and I definitely recommend his services!
We hired Rev. Rob shortly after our previous officiant cancelled due to COVID concerns. My (now) husband grew up Catholic and I was not raised with religion, so we were trying to find someone to deliver a ceremony more of the “middle ground” for our hotel wedding. From the first meeting, we could tell that he was a very kind person and would be the calm presence we needed when coming up with our wedding ceremony content. He was easy to work with during the planning process and really went with the flow of picking up with what we had previously put together. We did not meet him ahead of the wedding, but even in our “we’re getting married” fog up there at the altar, we were both impressed with his delivery and engagement with the ceremony. We even had several guests comment on how well he delivered everything and how he genuinely felt very much apart of things. Would highly recommend!
My now wife and I first spoke with Rob on the phone roughly a month before our DC wedding, after our original Colorado-based ceremony was scrapped due to Covid-19.
He was a delight to speak to and made us feel confident that we could have the ceremony we wanted, no matter the time crunch. Rob showed incredible willingness to work with us on our vows — even when we took a while to get back to him due to other, non-related planning issues — and shouldered some our burden by handling our license paperwork.
That easygoing manner was welcomed on our Big Day, when our bus broke down, delaying us almost an hour, and during the ceremony itself, after we realized we had forgotten something and had to hit "pause" for several minutes. Rob brought a sense of calm and genuine happiness to the proceedings that everyone appreciated.
My wife and I are forever grateful that Rob was our officiant, he made our day even more special.

Reverend Rob was AWESOME! He was so fun and easy to work with and ensured that our day was as special as possible. We held our wedding outside and near the end of the ceremony our barn cat decided to show up and make an appearance. Rob rolled with it and even made a joke to the crowd. It was hilarious! We were blown away by how easy it was to work with Robert. He made everything stress-free both before the wedding and the day of. He helped us to customize our ceremony and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what typically works and what doesn't.

Reverend Schenck was very professional and did a wonderful job officiating at our wedding. In addition to his talent at speaking and performing the ceremony, he was very helpful and accommodating and provided a calming presence when the timeline on our wedding day didn’t go exactly to plan. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced and talented priest to officiate their wedding.
Reverend Rob was so great to work with! When shopping around for officiants, I immediately felt comfortable speaking to him over the phone. We went over what I was looking for and he really did a phenomenal job at carrying everything out seamlessly. We enjoyed meeting with him and getting to know each other at the pre-wedding meeting and he did such a great job at making the ceremony "us".
We couldn't have been happier with Rev. Rob. From the very beginning, he was a joy to work with. He provided invaluable advice and guidance, proved to be incredibly flexible and was very calming during the big day.
He was accommodating with a special surprise request for the service - and even went above and beyond by delivering parts of the service in Spanish for half of the ceremony guests that were bilingual. In fact, he even took time out of his personal schedule to Skype into the rehearsal so as to meet the wedding party and make sure he got a good feel for the room and schedule.

Rev Schenck presided over our ceremony on 9/15/2018 and he did a fabulous job. Throughout the process, he took the time to meet with us on multiple occasions so we could bond and to create the perfect wording for our special day. He was always responsive over email and telephone as well. He attended our rehearsal as well. We were so grateful for all of his contributions. He is open minded, kind, well spoken, and patient.
