What a beautiful ceremony that summed up our love for each other perfectly! Very professional and a pleasure to work with. Would recommend to everyone!!!
We’re writing this review nearly three months after our wedding because we genuinely liked the owner of “Your Fairy Godmother Weddings & Events,” which made this difficult. She was...
warm, communicative, and even gave us creative ideas — including the signed picture frame guestbook. However, many key parts of our day were not coordinated as expected.
Ceremony:
Guests arrived early (at our request) due to the distance, but because there were no signs or direction, many ended up inside the reception area instead of the outdoor ceremony space. Reserved seating for our family was discussed beforehand but not set up, so close family members didn’t get the front-row seats intended for them.
The wedding party was sent out in the wrong order, which disrupted our carefully chosen music. My husband should’ve gone out directly after the officiant, but instead went after the bridesmaids because he was kept hidden in the bathroom, even though I was in a separate room.
The ceremony also started more than 30 minutes late, despite us being there at 3:40 for a 4:00 start and all guests already waiting. A golf ball incident did happen, but even with that, the delay and loss of flow felt preventable. Family members weren’t being “difficult”—they were trying to help keep our vision on track when they saw things weren’t set up correctly.
Reception:
Time management continued to be an issue. After introductions and dancing, we were suddenly told we had to eat immediately with no warning, which felt rushed. She had previously said one of her pet peeves was guests interrupting the couple’s first meal and promised to make an announcement — but no announcement was made, and we barely ate because guests kept approaching us.
The signed picture frame idea never came to life because the Sharpie wasn’t placed nearby and no instructions were provided. Our fans, which were supposed to be displayed in wicker baskets she said she had, sat in a plain Amazon box on the dance floor.
Because the timeline wasn’t followed, we completely missed the toast from three people — a moment we can never recreate or capture on video.
We later learned she hadn’t communicated with any of our vendors (DJ, photographer, or photo booth) except the venue, which was the entire reason we hired a day-of coordinator. We planned the wedding ourselves; we needed someone to manage it, and she fell short in that area.
Over an hour before the ceremony we realized our vow books were missing. She kindly helped search for them (they were never found — not her fault), but this shouldn’t have impacted the start time, especially since she stated she had been on site since around 11am.
I addressed all of these concerns with her directly afterward, but she did not take accountability for any of them except acknowledging the incorrect order of the wedding party. Managing a wedding of 125 guests can be challenging, but she knew our guest count and we were told she would have an assistant — instead she worked alone, and that choice contributed to many of the issues.
In conclusion:
Despite everything, our wedding was beautiful and full of love. The R&B notes, the soulful vibe, and the joy from our family and friends carried our day. We truly grew to like her as a person, and this review isn’t to harm her business. We simply hope it helps future couples have a smoother experience and encourages her to strengthen the level of professionalism couples are paying for.
My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Sharon and her granddaughter Keegan at Your Fairy Godmother Weddings. Sharon was organized, kind, and an absolute lifesaver mor...
e times than I can count throughout the planning process. She kept everything running smoothly on the wedding day, even when the schedule needed to be changed. She answered every one of my stupid questions with “No such thing!” And handled every detail of our perfect day with calm professionalism. She even did our florals, silk, which I had never even considered until meeting her and they were absolutely stunning. Everything was what we envisioned and more. It meant so much to us to have someone so dependable guiding us through everything. We’re so grateful to Sharon and Keegan for helping make our wedding everything we dreamed of!
We just got married on 4/19/25, and I'm so glad I found Sharon to officiate my handfasting ceremony. She was so kind every step of the way, and is really adaptable to any requests ...
you might have - we already had a handfasting ceremony script we wanted to use, but she had a poem in mind for us she asked if she could share too, and it was beautiful.
She also made our handfasting cord with our chosen colors, which was a service and a kindness I wasn't expecting!
I'm so grateful she was there on our day.
Sharon was the day-of coordinator for my October 2024 wedding and she was such a pleasure to work with from the very first phone call through the end of the wedding night. She know...
s this industry front to back, side to side, and it's so obvious that she loves what she does. As soon as you meet her you can tell that she already cares so much about you and your wedding! While we primarily kept our focus on her day-of duties, Sharon was such a huge help throughout the whole planning stage for my wedding. I knew she was always just a phone call away and it was a comfort to always have her insight and guidance at the ready. She is scrappy, forthright, and if there's something to think of you can guarantee she has already thought of it. Sharon is truly one of a kind, you're not gonna find somebody else like her.

venue and vendors, they do it all. Sharon and team took a lot of stress out of the whole process despite shortcomings of some of the other vendors. I really appreciated the efforts of Your Fair Godmother and team throughout the whole process and would recommend them to anyone looking to reduce the stress of wedding planning.

dding. We spent months planning every detail of the wedding day but knew we didn't want to try pulling everything together day-of or ask our family/friends to. We couldn't recommend the Fairy Godmother team more.
Sharon was our perfect Fairy Godmother for our wedding day on November 19, 2022. My husband and I planned our wedding from start to finish without the help of a wedding planner and...
thought it was going to be “so easy” for us to do the day-of coordination ourselves on our wedding day (I have no idea what we were thinking!). About a month before our wedding, we realized we needed a day-of coordinator to help things run smoothly, and I found Sharon online after reading reviews of many local coordinators that I felt I didn’t connect with. Sharon and I clicked immediately over an introductory phone conversation – She made me feel so much better about my wedding anxieties and promised me she would have things running smoothly for our wedding day … let me say that she DELIVERED. Sharon showed up for our wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and reception and she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She is organized, helpful, very calm, and does all the background work to make everything flow perfectly. What was really important to me was that I wanted someone to help keep the night moving without pointing a finger and saying, “we have 30 seconds before this happens!!!” Sharon gracefully reminded my husband and I when the specific events of the night were about to happen without that feeling of being rushed or scolded. When my husband stepped on the train of my bustle about 4 minutes into the reception (men… am I right?), I thought my night had been ruined, except this was an easy, straightforward fix for Sharon, who calmly took me into a side room and fixed my bustle with not even a breath of worry or anxiety! We cannot thank Sharon enough for being our day-of coordinator. I feel that we now have an extra mom, or I should say, a Fairy Godmother, for life! - Faron and Kayla
