Your Generation In Concert

The absolute BEST Band in the entire state of Michigan - and they will travel anywhere you need them to go! Our daughter's wedding was AMAZING and it was due in large part to this wonderful band! Steve Trudell and Amanda McDonough were always available to speak with and communicated to the band all of our requests. I cannot speak highly enough about all of the wonderful people in the band and those associated with them. Every single person at the wedding communicated that they felt like they were at a private concert! It was a fabulous evening that we didn't want to come to an end!!!

We had the pleasure of having YGIC play at our daughter’s wedding reception, and I can’t think of enough superlatives to use to describe their performance and our experience. Starting with Amanda in the office and continuing up through Brian in the band and Steve, himself, everyone we dealt with was prompt, attentive and professional. So where do I start in trying to describe the perfect reception they gave us? How about with the fact that the quality of their music and their energy was unparalleled. The dance floor was filled all night long. More importantly, they played the songs we requested. While they have an extensive playlist of their own, they took the time to learn a new song for the bridal dance, as well as a couple of new songs that were special to each of the bride and groom’s families. And they even brought the groom on stage to play guitar during one of those songs (well, to pretend to play a guitar that, thankfully, was not plugged in!). They also abided by our “do not play” list. Another accommodation – which I probably should not mention because others may now ask them for it – is that they agreed to take only one “long” break instead of the usual two breaks. That meant their break occurred around 10pm, instead of 11pm. We all know what happens when the band breaks at 11pm – people use it as an excuse and cue to start to leave. That didn’t happen, almost everyone stayed until the end, where they were treated to one of the best final song renditions of Bohemian Rhapsody you have ever heard. EVERYONE was singing along at full voice. Now, the bad news is that YGIC does not come cheap. In fact, they were our most expensive band option. However, they proved the adage that “you get what you pay for.” We had decided, as we allocated costs and funds, that the band makes or breaks a reception, so we considered YGIC one of our “splurges.” And boy, did they ever “make” the reception. Perhaps the best barometer of just how good they are is that we had guests tell us, days, weeks and even months after the wedding, that YGIC was the best wedding band they had ever seen. Finally, I was concerned that YGIC might be more comfortable in a “performance” setting, and may not do well at a reception. I should not have been concerned, and neither should you. If you have a chance, go see them play and you will be sold. They are hands down worth every penny you will pay for a reception band. So stop your searching and call them NOW!

Very entertaining, interacted with us and our guests, and emceed the night with ease. I highly recommend this group for your wedding entertainment. They are professional and high quality!

Best wedding band! They played at both of our daughters’ weddings. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Would highly recommend them!
