I’ll admit, even I felt skeptical about hiring a day-of-coordinator for my wedding, but I heard so many people say how essential it is. Now, in hindsight, I can say with absolute certainty that a coordinator is a must. I truly don’t know how we would have finished everything if it hadn’t been for Your Perfect Bridesmaid. Our coordinator Shauna worked closely with our vendors and made sure they were all on the same page for the big day. The planning tools YPB provides were so helpful. The centralized location for the guest list, timeline, floor plan, etc. was so convenient and it was my Bible throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, Shauna was there with an assistant coordinator, and together, they were an unstoppable force. They made sure the ceremony went off without a hitch. I swear Shauna had EVERYTHING in her fanny pack, including super glue that someone had requested. She kept us calm, and made sure we stuck as close to our timeline as possible. She also mailed our marriage license for us, so we didn’t have to go back and do it on our own. We are so thankful to Shauna and the YPB team for making our wedding day so smooth and seamless.

After college, I began my career in corporate event planning, and not long after, I transitioned into wedding planning. I made this shift because I wanted to take my love for events and use it to serve people—helping them create meaningful moments that truly matter. So, I launched YPB and have spent years dedicating myself to our clients’ big days, all while building an exceptional team of planners who share the same values and vision. She is an excellent communicator, both during meetings and in her follow-up emails. She sets reasonable timelines to complete tasks while remaining flexible and supportive wherever possible. Lexi was incredibly patient with both my mom and me as we tried to align on our visions (and budgets). She absolutely knocked it out of the park and is worth her weight in gold. YPB has phenomenal relationships with nearly every vendor in town, which cuts down on your research time and ensures you get the right people in place. Planning an ethnic wedding in Oregon is surprisingly difficult, but YPB made it their mission to ensure I got the wedding I had always dreamed of—and they did not disappoint. My wedding was an incredible event, and it wouldn't have been possible without Lexi's expert management. One piece of advice to anyone planning a wedding: If you can, spring for the highest planning package. Having someone help with setup and takedown specifically allows you and your family to focus on enjoying the festivities. I upgraded my planning package three months before the wedding because fielding all the questions from my family and vendors became overwhelming. Lexi had the capacity to take on the extra work, and it was the best decision I made throughout the entire planning process.

YPB has a great assortment of resources for couples to help keep on track and prioritize tasks. Their professionalism and industry connections make them a great team to work with. Once the vendor team was built and the wedding date approached, Guillermo essentially took over, building event timelines, sending emails, and coordinating all of the vendor needs. He became the main point of contact and helped alleviate a lot of the stress in the days leading up to the wedding. This allowed for me and my husband to focus on ourselves and families. On the day of, Guillermo went above and beyond, working on last minute projects (seating chart, photo backdrop, table setup) and coffee runs. His coworker Hope arrived bright and early, eager to help. My family was impressed by how friendly and approachable they both were and how they kept the show running. I know my husband and I got caught up in the moment and our timeline got a little iffy. But at the end of the day, I have the fondest, happiest memories of my wedding day and I wouldn’t change a thing. I was able to talk to everyone, drink, party, dance, laugh, cry. And somehow in between all that, Guillermo and the rest of my vendor team somehow got everything else done too! The toasts, cake cutting, first dance, etc. The set-up and tear-down was seamless and efficient, and when I left, I realized I didn’t have to do a single thing because they had thought of everything! Since we were planning a destination wedding from Texas while getting married in the Columbia River Gorge, we were nervous about how we were going to coordinate everything from so far away. From the very beginning, Kat completely put our minds at ease. Because of her, we were able to just truly enjoy our wedding day instead of worrying about all details. She created an incredibly detailed timeline that kept everyone on the same page and ensured the day flowed seamlessly. She took over communication with all of our vendors, so I never had to wonder when someone was arriving or worry about coordinating logistics. Knowing she had everything under control allowed us to be fully present and soak in every moment of our wedding. Kat went above and beyond to anticipate needs before you even think of them, solve problems without you ever knowing they existed, and makes you feel like you're being taken care of by a close friend. This eventually improved as we got closer to the day of, but the meetings were often abruptly ended and it felt like we were being squeezed into the schedule. On the day of, my sisters luckily helped with a lot of the coordination because our planner Stacey seemed to have her hands full with the vendors. Our venue's event coordinator also was able to come up with some helpful improvisations with the sunny weather and step into the shoes I thought our planner would fill. Overall, helpful to have a planner but generally middle of the road experience for me.

ad a 100 person wedding with about a year and a half of planning time from when we booked to the wedding date. What made YPB perfect was that they had a ton of resources to help you plan. This included helpful guides on budget tracking, vendor recommendations, seating charts assignments, and an extremely detailed day of timeline, to name a few. The biggest help was when we were struggling to find ivory long sleeve shirts for the groomsmen. My husband had talked to custom suit shops and no one could accommodate the sizes we needed. We talked with our coordinator and in two days she had found a place that we could get the suits from. We had Ashley Wittwer as our lead coordinator. I cannot say enough amazing things about Ashley. She made sure we stayed on track the last couple weeks leading up to the wedding. With YPB you not only get your lead coordinator but you do get a second one on the day to help out. At our wedding YPB made sure that me, my family, and the wedding party didn’t have to think about anything. Ashley took care of everything on the day. All the planning and timeline work we did before the wedding meant that Ashley just executed the plan. Ashley also helped remind us to “have our moment”, this is something that helped make sure we really soaked all of it in. I am truly so thankful for all that Ashley did for us. Booking a YPB planner will be the best decision you will make when planning your wedding.

. One of the things I loved was that Carly insisted that we don't do any of the work on the day of, including takedown. This was hard for me to accept, but it was so helpful to know that she was in control. We went with the biggest package (?) for our wedding and it was worth every cent. I loved the spreadsheet approach and Carly adding to the spreadsheet vendor ideas so that it cut out the research. JUST DO IT!!! Carly is direct and even if she disagrees with something, she is very respectful of letting you choose to do it your way. However, she is also respectfully direct and I often had blind spots that she helped me see. I highly recommend Carly!!
