This eventually improved as we got closer to the day of, but the meetings were often abruptly ended and it felt like we were being squeezed into the schedule. On the day of, my sisters luckily helped with a lot of the coordination because our planner Stacey seemed to have her hands full with the vendors. Our venue's event coordinator also was able to come up with some helpful improvisations with the sunny weather and step into the shoes I thought our planner would fill. Overall, helpful to have a planner but generally middle of the road experience for me.

These two did everything- ordered our save the dates/invites, assembled and mailed, negotiated with vendors, designed the most beautiful mood boards and actually brought them to life, came up with creative touches to make the day unique- the list goes on forever. There are so many factors part of the planning process that you wouldn’t be aware of, so I highly recommend YPB. They break down everything into small parts, you feel genuinely taken care of, and they bring so much fun & energy to the process as well. . One of the things I loved was that Carly insisted that we don't do any of the work on the day of, including takedown. This was hard for me to accept, but it was so helpful to know that she was in control. We went with the biggest package (?) for our wedding and it was worth every cent. I loved the spreadsheet approach and Carly adding to the spreadsheet vendor ideas so that it cut out the research. JUST DO IT!!! Carly is direct and even if she disagrees with something, she is very respectful of letting you choose to do it your way. However, she is also respectfully direct and I often had blind spots that she helped me see. I highly recommend Carly!!

Katelyn hit the ground running with us from day one. She was our boots on the ground, meeting with vendors in person when needed and was an expert in keeping things moving no matter what the action item was, big or small. A few particular difficulties that Katelyn navigated expertly: - We struggled to pull together the decor based off our wedding vision. Katelyn realized that one decor vendor was not meeting our needs and worked overtime to pull together an order sheet that pulled decor from multiple vendors that matched our vision perfectly AND cut our decor costs by half. - Katelyn accommodated our parents needs down to even the smallest requests, like making sweets available to guests at auspicious moments during the wedding weekend and even helping coordinate dinners outside of the wedding itself. - Katelyn pulled together last-minute needs during the wedding weekend without a sweat, such as setting up umbrellas to provide shade during the wedding ceremony or last-minute hotel room booking adjustments. The result was a multi-day South Asian wedding that was even better in real life than we could have dreamed of. Our guests LOVED (1) the decor, (2) the food, and (3) how organized and thoughtful each event was.
