We had booked YSBU for our May 2020 wedding. Due to Covid we had to postpone until September 2020.
Originally Wes said that they were not taking any weddings in September since the...
y are a husband and wife team and Liz is pregnant. But Wes said they would "give it a try" for ours. This didn't make me feel very at ease since I was already stressed out enough with having to postpone the wedding and everything going on with Covid. Wes was not honest with me at first that this meant that his wife would not be shooting the wedding but eventually it came out he was "working on getting a second shooter" to stand in her place. He never even confirmed this with me.
As the weeks have passed, and this pandemic has dragged on, we have now decided to cancel our wedding. We are not local to the FL and my entire family would have to travel from Canada for the wedding. We ourselves would have to travel from the west coast (California) and then quarantine when we get back. Right now, the Canada/U.S border is CLOSED. So we would have to have the wedding without my entire family. Thankfully, given our circumstances, the majority of our vendors were understanding of this when it comes to refunding deposits. But not YSBU. Wes has refused to answer my texts and phone calls and completely ghosted us when we asked to work with them regarding the deposit. He was not even willing to discuss the situation and be a professional about this. We have been very respectful and just want to discuss options with him, we never even demanded our deposit back. We understand everyone is hurting financially from this pandemic.
I hope by reading this review you reconsider booking YSBU for your wedding. Planning a wedding right now in the midst of this pandemic is already stressful enough without working with people who provide such pitiful customer service. If something happens to you or anyone in your family know that YSBU will not be understanding of your situation whatsoever and keep whatever deposit they have gotten from you. You can expect them to just ghost you too. Save yourself the stress!
Check out Rebecca Cruz Photography or Eagle Vision Photography as they have a similar style to YSBU and are cheaper too!
My husband can not speak more highly of Your Story By Us. Wes and Liz were absolutely wonderful and are incredibly talented. The photos from our wedding day are stunning and surpas...
sed all of our expectations. They captured every wonderful moment and the smallest of details. They are the sweetest couple ever and make you feel completely comfortable. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE
Wes & Liz were absolutely fantastic!! We found them through a recommendation from a family friend. They offered a very fair price for engagement photos and wedding photos. It reall...
y takes going to their website: youstorybyus.com or their Facebook page to truly grasp their talent. I can’t tell you how many photography sites I looked at that offered the exact same photos: very staged, very boring. Wes and Liz stand out with their camera angles, ability to capture the light in the right ways, and artistic eye. They don’t believe in the “put your arm here, and you look there, and freeze!” They encourage you to whisper sweet nothings, smile at your future spouse, and REALLY get into the moment. This may not sound like a big deal, but this is how real model photo shoots are done (so I hear).
They are also just delightful people. We had so many laughs with them on our wedding day, and they really knew how to keep us on track and calm despite the excitement and fast pace of the wedding day. I am beyond excited to see the photos from our wedding. People are STILL talking about how we have the most exotic and magnificent engagement pictures they’ve ever seen. We were swimming in the ocean during the most incredible sunset. Who has engagement photos like that?!
I’ve already recommended Wes & Liz to a colleague, and after one call he was on board. Their photos are also beautiful.
You cannot go wrong with Wes & Liz!!
Wes and Liz were absolutely amazing to work with! Their photographs look like works of art and they truly can identify beauty in any surrounding. They were very professional, but r...
elaxed and made us feel at ease. They were efficient and we did not spend hours or multiple takes getting the pictures that we wanted. I would 100% use them again if I had the chance. The only problem I have is deciding which photos to frame for the house!! We have SO many that are amazing! There is no chance you won't be blown away by your wedding photos if you choose "Your Story By Us."
Hiring Your Story By Us to do our photography was EASILY the best decision we made for our wedding. We absolutely loved their style and when we initially contacted them, they sent ...
us a link with previous weddings they had shot at our venue. We were totally hooked. We met them for engagement pictures which were part of our photography package. I was really nervous because I don’t typically like pictures of myself. They were both so much fun, so easy going, and took all the pressure off. Once we got the engagement photos back, we were completely blown away. They captured the most gorgeous shots, neat angles, beautiful sunset, and made my husband and I look fantastic! I felt a huge weight of nervousness lifted off me because I knew the wedding pictures would be great if they could work such magic with the engagement shots. I started referring to them as our magicians instead of our photographers. Our wedding pictures exceeded all my hopes! It actually got a little awkward showing them off to people because everyone kept calling them the best wedding pictures they had ever seen (even our married friends)! The pictures were truly outstanding; we got all the typical posed family portraits in addition to really cool couples photos, awesome action photos, and beautiful moments that happened all throughout the day. Wes and Liz were so easy to work with, in fact, they really saved me with their timeline advice and coordinated flawlessly with our other vendors. Wes and Liz are lucky that my husband and I aren’t local to Florida or else they would never get rid of us, we would be trying to be their new best friends! They really were a wonderful addition to our day, never pushy, open to changes in the schedule and very flexible throughout the whole day. I give them the highest possible recommendation. Go ahead and book them now, you will be SO glad you did!!!
I knew immediately after reading Wes and Liz's About Us on their website and their reviews on Wedding Wire that this was the couple that I desperately needed to photograph our wedd...
ing. They are beyond amazing. I basically stalked them for a week trying to book them (they were at a photography conference at the time I made my initial inquiry) but I am so glad I did because they've been fantastic. From our engagement shoot to the wedding itself, Wes and Liz have just been an incredible part of our team. They were able to make my husband(!) and I look like we weren't incredibly awkward in front of the camera (which...believe me, I was) and their photography style is just...breathtaking. They're easy-going, relaxed and relaxing (both are important, in my opinion), and I truly felt like they were two friends of mine doing me a favor and not like I was just another bride at another wedding just getting the same old photos taken. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. I honestly want them to photograph all my major events in life just so I can pretend they're my friends. That's how awesome they are. Don't even look at any other photographers. Stick with Your Story By Us and you will be so glad and grateful you did.
Wes and Liz are so much fun to work with and do an absolutely amazing job. They photographed our engagement session and our wedding. We got married last weekend and obviously haven...
't gotten to see those photos yet, but it was easy and fun to work with them the day-of. They were professional and easy-going. They were flexible with the timeline and attune to what we wanted. Simply cannot wait to see how they turn out! The engagement session turned out wonderful. We had planned on a sunny day, but got big rolling clouds instead and they still rocked it. The photos turned out fantastic. Couldn't be happier with these guys. THANK YOU!
P.S. Their new business name is Your Story by Us instead of Weber Photography (I couldn't find the new business name on here)
Although we haven't received our photos back, we loved our engagement shoot and Wes and Liz are so great to work with. I had meet with another photographer prior to booking with We...
s and Liz but we totally clicked with Wes and Liz and their work is amazing! So much fun to work with!
Wes and Liz were amazing for my engagement and wedding photos. For the engagement photos, they met my fiance and I near our home at a park I love to visit. They were very professio...
nal, but also laid back enough to have fun with us. The pictures turned out great and I used them as part of our charity donation wedding favors. For the wedding photos, Wes and Liz showed up to document the entire days events. They began in my hotel room with the getting ready process for my bridesmaids and me. Then they were with my fiance and his groomsmen. I was very concerned about the pictures of the ceremony and did not want to disturb my guests with a photographer in their way. I did not even notice them at all during the ceremony, but the pictures are amazing. After the ceremony, we had family pictures. Then began the real photos during the sunset of my wedding party and my husband and me. Those photos are truly breathtaking. The photos were actually delivered within 7 days of my wedding. Not sure if this is normal, but it was very unexpected (in a good way). Thanks Wes and Liz!
Wes and Liz are an amazing duo who make their clients feel more like friends.
They are super easy to work with and they aren't afraid of taking risks to get the perfect picture....
We HIGHLY recommend them to friends and anyone else we come across who is getting married.
We have every intention of using them in the future for a maternity session when the time comes.

ed photos I stumbled onto Wes Webers website. I immediatly fell in love with his style and it only got better when I saw the price of his services, how I would recieve my photos and that his wonderful wife Liz is his partner in crime and would also be photographing the wedding! Of course I booked an engagement session right away and not only me but everyone who has seen the session was completely blown away! Our session was even blogged about on another wedding website! They kept in contact and answered all my millions of questions patiently and professionally up until the wedding. We had a blast on the day and they were wonderful to work with!! I absolutely love the pictures of the wedding so so much!!! Wes & Liz are all I could have hoped for and more!!
