We had Danielle as our main shooter both for our engagement photos and our 11.11.23 wedding at The Sablewood, and she was amazing! She made me and my husband feel so at ease in front of the camera, constantly giving us positive feedback and encouraging us the entire time. Danielle captured the most amazing golden hour photos and it’s a struggle to choose which will be in our album! Prior to the wedding, YTK are responsive to any questions you might have and listen to your vision of the day. They worked with us to create a detailed wedding photo timeline for us on the day of the wedding and actually stuck to it, even finishing a bit early so we could relax a bit before the ceremony. During family photos, which I heard could be chaotic, YTK had our shot list pulled up to make sure that every combination of family photos we discussed were taken. They organized individuals we wanted pictures with at cocktail hour so that we could quickly get those done. When we got the link to our gallery, all the pictures were organized into categories such as Details, Getting Ready, First Look, Ceremony etc. which was completely unexpected and sooo nice when looking for photos to put in our album. Additionally, we had our photo booth through them as well, and Katherine created a eucalyptus design to make our photo booth prints unique for our wedding! Plus, they came with a bunch of props (including a bunch of Harry Potter ones) that everyone loved haha.

Booking with Katherine and YTK Works was the best decision I could have made. Throughout the entire process she was communicative and enthusiastic. I loved how early we started talking about the days schedule, shot list, etc. I’ve had friends with other photographers not even receive their timeline until week of wedding- (I can’t even imagine!) but Katherine and her team reached out several months in advance to set up a preliminary timeline. She also is super skilled and efficient and did not waste any time while getting the photos so we could attend our cocktail hour. I received my previews (which included about 400 photos covering each part of the day, not just a handful of teasers) within 3 weeks and the photos are absolutely beautiful. People have told me they’ve never seen such stunning photographs of any wedding, ever! Beyond the photos she was a lovely person and super helpful during my wedding day.

From engagement session to wedding, Katie has an eye for detail unlike any other and truly knows how to capture a couple’s authenticity and love for one another. Katherine and her team did an incredible job shooting our engagement and our wedding. She was very responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process and extremely organized. Her team did an amazing job shooting our wedding which involved boats, a huge wedding party, a dog, and more! Her team captured every moment and I'm so happy I get to relive the magic of the day through her photos and videos. Her team seamlessly blended into the event while capturing amazing content. She also was so good at coaching us and helping us look our best for the photos! I'd highly recommend her.

Hiring Katherine was a no-brainer after our first conversation. Her commitment to her clients is truly something rare. She communicates well, and does everything in her power to keep you on schedule and give you the best possible shots. We used her for our wedding on 10/09/22 and we get nothing but stunning compliments on our photos and our video anytime we show them off. Her energy and presence is calm and pure, and she will stop at nothing to make sure you accomplish your goals on your big day. She even defended me against a rude bystander interrupting our photos on our wedding day. I was visibly shaken after the horrific exchange, and Katherine immediately made me take the most stunning portraits of myself, that looking back, I can’t believe how flustered I was seconds before taking them. She and her team are all incredibly talented and beautiful people inside and out. Katherine has shot our engagement photos, our wedding photos and video, and now our maternity photos. She is by far my favorite vendor we booked for our wedding, and you won’t be disappointed if you do the same.

We unfortunately had/are still having a very bad experience with YTK. I cannot in good faith recommend hiring them. Our wedding was 12/3/22 and we have yet to receive our final trailer. A brief overview of the situation is as follows: We were given the first version about 1.5-2 months after the wedding. Overall, the video quality just didn’t seem at a professional level like their other videos I’ve seen, maybe it was the lighting. They left audio in about us talking about the microphone which she said was left in as a mistake. They didn't include audio for things like our vows. We had 2 best men and they only included clips from one of their speeches and completely left the other guy out. They used some clips that were extremely unflattering, I even got feedback from family and friends to make sure I wasn’t just being my own worst critic. These are things that obviously needed to be adjusted. I gave a lot of feedback and gave replacement ideas from bonus footage. She said she’d call me on a specific day to discuss the changes. That day came and went, no phone call. I followed up about a week later. I’m told her household had bad food poisoning. Ok, fine. She finally calls and we discuss the issues. They worked to adjust them but weren’t using the footage I recommended in some spots. The owner ended up having to take over our trailer work because it truly didn’t seem to be done at a professional level and they were not fully listening to the feedback being given. The owner said to give her some time to wrap her arms around it (late Feb). I gave 2 months and heard nothing so I again followed up. No response, and another week went by, so I followed up again (it is now May 8, 2023). She emailed me back explaining some personal things again and said “You are top on the list and I expect to have it ready for you late next week.” A week comes and goes and I hear nothing. I give another month and a half. It is now almost the end of June and I follow up again. I explain that I still want the changes made and I’d like our video finalized. She replied by again giving me all the reasons why she couldn’t get it done. This is now the 3rd time I’ve been given excuses why the video still isn’t done. Now, it is wedding season again. We are approaching the 7 month mark from when our wedding occurred. It is almost the end of the timeframe in her contract (28 weeks). She is now telling me that since she is in her busy season again, I’ll have to wait, even though I was “at the top of the list” back in May. Why am I not still at the top of the list? She also said that a product was delivered timely and I just didn’t like it. Very disappointed to hear that her videos and services are based on HER standards rather than the standards of the paying customer. I am not asking for unreasonable changes and have been more than patient. At this point it seems my video is just not a priority and is never going to be. Do not hire this vendor if you want someone that does not keep an open line of communication or provide timely updates, and does not accept responsibility or accountability. We had no major issues with any other vendors and the rest were all excellent. I offered her to give me money back and provide me with all the raw footage and she can wash her hands of it and she was unwilling to do that either. We just want our video finished and we want to be completely happy with the end product as any client should be for a vendor they hired and paid for.

Katherine was amazing! We were both so nervous the morning of our wedding before our first look, but she came in and immediately made us feel better. Our bridesmaids/groomsmen were also very impressed with how much fun she made the group photos.

Katherine was the best photographer we could have asked for - absolutely on top of everything, an eye for detail, fantastic photo composition, and mindful of tricky family dynamics! She did our engagement shoot and wedding, and we are absolutely obsessed with our photos. She is somehow both warm and able to command a crowd, both willing to hear your wants and able to give suggestions. We chose the option that had a second photographer (Tatiana), and she was also wonderful. If we ever need a photographer for anything else, we know who we are going to call!

My husband and I fell in love with YTK and Katherine's vision from the first time we met her. Throughout our wedding planning process Katherine and her team were more than helpful with answering any questions in a timely manner, and giving us clear descriptions of what we should expect on the day of. Our engagement shoot was stunning and so much fun, and on the day of when the weather went south Katherine was calm and collected and used her artistic vision to give us STUNNING photos anyways! She was a calming force in the midst of a beautiful yet chaotic day, and I am so thankful for how well she was able to navigate both the venue and our families/guests to give us the perfect photos. We also opted in to get a livestream of our ceremony and we have gotten nothing less than amazing feedback! We cannot wait to go back to YTK for maternity photos, anniversary photos, etc!

honestly I can't say enough about Katherine and her team. she is the most wonderful, thoughtful and talented person. from start to finish she was there for me and listed to me. she reassured me that she "got me" and boy did she ever. from fixing my bouquet to pinning the bouteniers on the guys she did it all. I could just tell by how excited she was getting by the different lightening that she really loved what she was doing and you could tell because it made all the difference. she was so amazing and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to capture my day for me. book her now, she is seriously amazinggggg. I got one sneak peak and I'm dying about how gorgeous it looks, can't wait to see her work her magic!

We LOVE Katherine, the owner of YTK. She is amazing. I actually found her at the Saratoga Wedding Show in January 2020 (pre-COVID). She is incredible, and her work speaks volumes. Plus she is so sweet, and throughout the entire pandemic she would check in on us and see how she could help. All our photos in the past (engagement & boudoir shoot) have been AMAZING! I can not wait to see our wedding photos as well. I'll be using YTK for all my photography needs throughout my lifetime!

Katherine was the photographer at my sisters wedding in 2018, I told her that day I would be hiring her whenever I got married. She is absolutely amazing! She was so easy to get in touch with even though she was so busy with weddings. The day of she was so on top of everything. Even thought us girls were late getting ready she made sure we got the shots we needed before the ceremony. She seemed so genuinely excited about the shots she was getting. I got married on Saturday and Katherine sent me my sneak peeks the following Wednesday! They were amazing! I did not expect anything less! Then a month and a day after the wedding I got all my photos! Every single one of them was perfect! I was in utter shock how many there were! It is going to be difficult picking favorites! Working with YTK throughout the entire planning process- from engagement photos until our big day was seamless despite the pandemic. The owner of YTK, Katherine, helped with all of our planning and was so flexible in shifting our date. Jess from YTK is our favorite person ever! Jess was our assigned photographer and she took the time to get to know us and helped us get comfortable. She perfectly executed our vision for our photos and made us laugh along the way. Katherine from YTK Photography was incredible to work with! In planning she asked simple, key questions to help us choose our photography style and she delivered exactly what we envisioned and offered really reasonable packages that made it doable within our budget. When we postponed our 2020 Wedding she was flexible and compassionate and was able to still photography our Minimony. Katherine made my Husband and I so comfortable and captured the our evening perfectly and we can't wait to work with her again in 2021!

I don’t even know how to put into words how amazing Katherine is. Since the day we booked her as our photographer she was always there for us making sure this experience was the best. We got married in October 2020 during the pandemic. We stuck with our original date and made some adjustments. Katherine was nothing short of AMAZING during the entire process. If you want a photographer who makes you feel comfortable and can eliminate as much stress from you as possible she is your girl! If you want someone to step up and tie tie when the groom and groomsmen cant or put on their boutonnieres or button up your wedding dress the fastest and easiest ive ever seen anyone do (yes she is basically super women) Katherine is your girl! Katherine did an unbelievable job photographing and live streaming our wedding day! We couldn’t be happier with the quality and artistry of the pictures and video we received. She went above and beyond with this by also collecting congratulatory videos from all our loved ones to be shared with us on our wedding day! So my now husband and I booked Katherine/YTK pretty early on in our planning process. The photos on her site just really stood out in terms of quality and style, and our first meeting cemented the fact that Katherine really understood my vision and was really passionate about what she did. Well, fast-forward a year and half and my husband and I were no longer so organized. We didn't get a chance to do an engagement session, so I was worried doing the photos for the first time on our wedding day would be awkward and disorganized and nothing Katherine and her team could do would fix it. Luckily YTK are pros, and Katherine calmed all of our fears in those last few weeks with thorough plans and timelines. When she and her associate photographer showed up that day everything was handled with incredible ease. Besides making sure we didn't want anymore specific shots and Katherine jumping in to fix my broken bustle with a safety pin, I barely remember seeing them during the reception but we have such incredible candids from that night. I can't think of a single shot I wish we had but don't, and every one is beautiful quality. Plus, she delivered our photos to us right as promised, and has been nothing but enthusiastic and supportive about our wedding. I am so glad we booked YTK, and I would absolutely recommend anyone thinking about it do the same.

If you want to look at your wedding pictures and admire their beauty everyday I suggest you go with Katherine and the YTK Works team. Katherine and her team are simply amazing. Communication with Katherine was easy from the beginning, always responded to my emails and questions in a timely matter. The day of our wedding we had a very detailed timeline of the day and Katherine made sure Jim and I had all the pictures we wanted. The thing that stood out to me the most and truly showed her experience in this business was the day of our wedding when my bridesmaids and I were all getting dressed and one of my bridesmaids zipper broke and we were unable to fix it. Obliviously there was a moment of panic but next thing I see, is Katherine pull out a sewing kit filled with all kind of thread and needles along with other useful stuff that one might need. Katherine of course had the thread color of our dresses and started helping sew my bridesmaids in her dress, all while still taking pictures of me and making sure that I was doing ok. (I already knew that I admired her work but after that moment I admired her as a professional and person, it was just an affirmation that we had picked the perfect wedding photographer.) Booking Katherine Wright and YTK Photography was the BEST decision we ever made for our wedding. From the personal inquiry form to our first meeting with Katherine, I knew she was the perfect person to capture our wedding day. She’s so professional and easy to work with and honestly takes the best photos! My husband and I worked with Katherine for our wedding and we’re extremely happy that we did. Our first meeting was done on the phone since we lived further away and we felt really good about everything. Leading up to the wedding day, Katherine was great at responding to all our questions and requests and I feel we had so many and she happily responded to it all. On our wedding day at the Diamond Mills in Saugerties, it was her and an associate photographer. Because we had worked out a detailed timeline of the day we understood the flow of everything and knew what to expect including the time, location and who we were set up to pose with, etc. All of that was well thought out. Katherine thought of it all and was even prepared with her own version of a ‘wedding survival kit’! I loved that especially since we all had wedding brain. The setting of our wedding plus her eye for knowing the right shots made for a great day of photo opportunities! After the wedding, we were so excited to see the images and when we did she did not disappoint. Having to narrow down the photos for our wedding album was the hardest and yet so much fun trying to create a story out of the many options we were given. When we received our album I couldn’t stop looking at it! It just brings back those memories of one of our best days of our lives. Katherine is super professional and extremely talented. She’s also a lot of fun making it easy to work with her.

My husband and I hired YTK for our wedding in May 2019 and have nothing but good things to say about Katherine, Diane and the entire YTK Team! From the start, Katherine was by my side helping me to create the wedding I had dreamed of. She worked with our (my husband and my own) crazy schedules to allow us to do our couples shoot in NYC, and captured our everyday life in the most real and beautiful way possible- following us from iconic places in Central Park to the underground craziness of the subways! The photos were amazing and we got sooo many compliments from family, friends and even acquaintances! As the wedding got closer we had multiple conversations about planning a timeline that would allow us to do all of the family, bridal party and close friend photographs prior to the start of the ceremony. This took a lot of coordination and patience from Katherine and the YTK team but really helped Sean and I to get to spend time with family and friends on our special day— something that was extremely important to us. On the wedding day, Katherine helped to create the perfect “first look” scenario and used the light to create some gorgeous photos. Most of all, she kept me calm when any part of the day seemed stressful- for example, my husband lost boutonnière and Katherine effortlessly fastened him a new one from one of the bridesmaid bouquets! Basically, I could not recommend YTK photography more. They are an amazingly talented team who really care about their clients and couples and their photographs are gorgeous! There is no one else we would choose to capture our wedding day!

Katherine and her team are truly incredible! We had our engagement photos as well as the wedding photos with film and could not have been happier with the outcome. Katherine was wonderful to work with and makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Our wedding went so smoothly and was everything we hoped for and more. If it was possible to select more than 5 stars hands down I would select that! Katherine was a huge part in planning my surprise engagement in 2016. Those photos captured by Katherine was a moment in time that I didn't think could be topped. Guess what, she beyond topped that with coming to be a part of my wedding. Katherine isn't just a photographer you hire, she is family. She shares your most memorable day with you and your loved ones and appreciates all the little moments. Someone accidentally stepped on my dress and due to the recent rain there was a large mud stain. Katherine saw how much this bothered me and took me aside in a bathroom and she hand cleaned the mud. Did you catch that she did that by hand? I mean, who do you know that can say their photographer did that for them?! Katherine makes her presence known when you need her the most for direction or moments like that and also quietly captures moments that pass by so quickly on your big day. Katherine was a mother for me when I didn't have one on my wedding day, a friend for me who would do anything to make the day perfect and an outstanding photographer who captures love all around. Katherine and her team are truly warm hearted people who are passionate for what they do, and true hopeful romantics. I could not recommend them more to future couples for engagement and wedding photos.

Katherine and her associate Sabrina were incredible-everything from the communication before the big day to the intimate moments on our wedding day. We got married on the beach on Long Island, New York in August 2018. They were kind, respectful and warm, which the staff at our venue and our bridal parties greatly appreciated. They got absolutely stunning shots from the details of our venue and wardrobe, first looks, beach ceremony and indoor reception and so many great candid shots along the way! Our family and friends cannot stop raving about our photos that we used in our thank you a and have been sharing with them. YTK gives you hundreds of photos to choose from and make prints and gifts. Their website is easy to navigate when looking through and sharing photos. My wife and I cannot day enough good things about Katherine. She also shot our surprise engagement two years prior to our wedding day. A rainy day in Albany New York and Katherine’s talent made for beautiful photos that we have framed and on display in our lives. She and her team make you feel so special on your special day and are respectful of your intimate moments while capturing them so beautiful for you’ve to look back on. We really enjoyed working with YTK for our wedding! Jess was always so energetic, thoughtful and were really passionate about making our wedding special. Katherine was awesome to work with and took beautiful photos of our wedding. We loved our engagement shots as well. We spent a lot of time trying to find the right photographer, and Katy was so perfect. Leading up to the wedding, she was really on top of things and easy to work with. The day of she was on time and took really beautiful photos, which she turned around much more quickly than we realized. We never noticed the photographers during the event, so they did a great job blending in but still getting all of the photos we wanted. Katy and her team are nothing but the best. We've only seen the published blog, but let me tell you - AMAZING. My family and friends cannot get over how perfect the photos are. They captured some moments I did not see, such as my husband crying as I walked down the aisle. Katy and Jackie helped make my husband and our bridal party feel at ease. Our wedding day was a bit chilly and Katy was there to offer her jacket in between photos. We cannot wait to see the rest of the sure to be beautiful pictures.

If you are looking at YTK photography, look no further! Katherine is literally the best and I am SO HAPPY that my finance and I decided to book her for our engagement shoot and wedding! We just finished our engagement shoot with her and the pictures came out better than I ever could have imagined! Katherine even turned them around in no time! Katherine and her team at YTK Photography were absolutely INCREDIBLE. My husband and I got married a little less than a month ago in Troy, NY and we are still talking about how great the YTK team was to work with. From the moment I sat in her studio and told her our story about how we met and the vision we wanted for our wedding day, I knew she was going to be an easy vendor choice. During the entire process Katie was attentive to detail, extremely responsive through e-mail and was very accommodating when we wanted to create our own custom wedding package. Along with working with Katie and team on our wedding day, we also chose to do engagement pictures a year prior. When I say my husband wasn’t too keen on the idea of being photographed before this, was an understatement… BUT honestly, after that day, he continued to say how personable, cool, down to earth person he’s ever met – and on top of that felt 1000% more conformable when it came to taking pictures on our wedding day. We CAN NOT wait to see our wedding trailer. We know it will be phenomenal if it’s as beautiful as how our wedding blog came out. I look forward to working with Katie and her team in the future (maybe when we have kiddos someday). Word of advice, if you’re considering YTK as a wedding partner... DO IT, you will not regret it!!

I have known Jess for literally my entire life. Her eye for this is second to none, and her passion shows while she's doing her thing. Historically, it's very difficult to get good pictures of me (I really don't enjoy being photographed), and time and time again she has known how to draw them out of me. Not only that, but she was fantastic at calming us all down when we were having crazy moments and making sure that the schedule was on track so she could get the pictures I asked her for. The photos I've had the chance to look at have been perfect, and I know the rest will be, too. Thank you for everything!

I can never thank Katherine and Jess enough for the amazing work they did for our wedding. Their professionalism and love of their work are second to none! They went above and beyond my expectations - dealing with dogs, crazy family, and a very emotional bride. Katy and her team took the most beautiful photos. She made our day so much less stressful and made sure I looked flawless the entire time. When we started wedding planning, we knew that we did not want to book a videographer and thought that wedding videos were tacky. That is until I saw my friend's wedding video trailer and feature done by YTK. Since YTK is based in the Albany area and our wedding was in Connecticut, I did not think that hiring this company would even be an option. I reached out to Katherine and before you know it, we were on the phone with her and sharing our love story. It was a done deal! We booked that day and it may be one of the best decisions that we made as we now have this amazing footage that documents the best day of our lives. A few months before the wedding, Katherine met with us and we shared details that were important to us. We could tell that she was already envisioning our film even though the event did not take place yet! Katherine is a true artist in every form and so is her team!
