I found Yuni online after looking for makeup and hair artists with experience working with a more natural look. I've never had my makeup done before, so finding someone I felt comfortable around was essential. Since I wasn't sure what I wanted, I needed someone to make recommendations. Yuni and her team knocked it out of the park from start to finish! My maid of honor and I received many compliments on my wedding day. As requested, my makeup was natural, not too glammy, remained light throughout the day, and appeared well in photos. I never wore makeup and wanted to keep everything light. Yuni and her team did a wonderful job with our hair and make up for my wedding everyone was extremely thrilled with their end results. I initially booked Yuni for a trial several months before my wedding and she came to my location and we did a trial where I showed her the hairstyle I was hoping to do on my wedding day. She gave me some tips (like growing my hair out since I wanted an updo, and skin care) and the trial worked out wonderfully. I was so happy that I decided to lock her in for my wedding. I was able to let her know how many people needed their make up done and was able to even add one more person 2 weeks out from D-Day. She was very flexible. A week before the wedding, Yuni followed up and provided a rough schedule on how she thought the timeline would work out for everyone on hair and make up. It was very organized and allowed me to assign times to my wedding party as well as integrate it into my final wedding schedule for the day. On the actual day of the wedding, Yuni was extremely professional. She and 1 other person (for hair) showed up on time with all the tools they needed. They did a great job with all my wedding party and Yuni was very open minded to suggestions on how people wanted their make up done. The end result was soft and flawless, just like how a bride would want her and her party to look. I would highly recommend hiring Yuni and her team for your big day!

For all my East Asian brides looking for a HMUA within the NYC and Long Island area, I HIGHLY recommend choosing Yuni! When I began to look for a HMUA, I was nervous after hearing horror stories about my friends who didn't like the results of their HMUA's work. However, Yuni knew exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond. She's someone who will prioritize you, knows how to work with Asian features, and is within a reasonable price range! From the moment I reached out, Yuni was very responsive and would get back to me within 48-hours or less, even if I took much longer to respond. During the trial run, I wasn't very certain of what I wanted but the results already looked good and were a good indicator of what the day-of would look like. On the day of the wedding, I had 4 bridesmaids and 2 moms who needed their hair and makeup done. Yuni brought in her team to take care of everyone else so that she could focus on my hair and makeup. Even when other distractions tried to get in the way, she put her foot down and communicated that she was there to prioritize me. Both my hair and makeup lasted longer than 8 hours and turned out amazing for photos! Yuni made me feel and look like a princess for the day of my wedding and if there were any other occasion I could hire her again, I would. If you're interested in getting a taste of how I felt, I strongly recommend choosing her!

This was my first time getting my makeup professionally done and to say I was blown away was an understatement. Yuni originally planned to have 2 artists come alongside her on the wedding day but so graciously brought along 2 more artists so that we could sleep in a little bit more (we had a very early start). I decided to change my makeup slightly from my trial and she executed it with ease and my makeup DID NOT BUDGE after many crying sessions - literally a magician. I truly felt so beautiful on my wedding day, as did all of my bridesmaids and both my mother & mother in law. They went above and beyond and truly made my whole wedding morning so memorable and fun.

Initially, I got my make up and hair done by Yuni for my engagement photos in the city. The makeup was so natural yet beautiful (I got many compliments from people in the city during the photoshoot). The makeup and hair lasted until late at night and our engagement photos all came out very nice. So I decided to ask her for my makeup and hair for my big day as well. When the big day came, Yuni was prompt, efficient, took time out to make sure everyone getting their make-up done was happy and that their makeup went well with their dresses. Our makeup lasted all day and night despite sunny weather in July. She also was able to change my hairstyle between the ceremony and the reception party, so that I was able to have different looks for wedding photos. Yuni is very sweet and it has been a great pleasure working with her. I would highly recommend her!

Amazing experience! I was looking for someone that had experience with Asian features and a natural look and Yuni delivered. She gave me some nice skincare products at my trial to use leading up to the wedding (which worked). I really appreciated her attention to detail with the makeup like individual false lashes and a bit of shimmer on my collarbone that made a huge difference compared to other professional makeup I've had done. I found Yunis makeup by chance through Instagram, and I loved the simple and natural look. She went an extra mile for me by giving me skincare products a month before my wedding, and my skin was beautifully moisturized. I was looking for an amazing hair and make-up team willing to work with large groups, with extra bonus points if they specialized in asian beauty. I am so glad that I found Yuni on Wedding Wire and The Knot! I was impressed by Yuni’s Instagram page as well. Yuni is so sweet and very quick to respond to emails and messages. During the trial process, Yuni made recommendations and was open to feedback. She worked until the look was perfect. The trial went so well that I convinced two other friends to book Yuni for their weddings too! I was pretty sold by the trial, but the wedding day went even better! For the wedding, I had 15 ladies (including myself) and 2 flower girls that needed hair and make-up. Yuni was very willing to accommodate our large group and created a schedule to go by six weeks prior to the wedding. Her and 4 other team members ran services on a timely manner (even early), leaving lots of time for touch ups at the end! Artists were able to replicate inspiration pics very well! Make-up artists were able to work well with varying skin tones and facial features. Everyone had such a fun time. Everyone’s hair and make-up looked beautiful and lasted through the night! Our wedding ended at 1AM too!! Highly recommend, especially if you have a big group!

Yuni did a wonderful job for my wedding hair and makeup! I wanted hair extensions but for ethical reasons I did not want to use real hair. I brought my own fake hair extensions and Yuni styled and even trimmed them to match my hair. The hairstyle was even better than what I had envisioned. People couldn't believe that I had on hair extensions! And I am really happy with my makeup that lasted the entire night. I am so grateful to have found Yuni for my wedding hair and makeup!

Amazing Experience! It was a great experience to have Yuni to work on my makeup and hair. I consider myself is a difficult person to please because I have hooded and small eye. I have never been satisfied with professional makeup before. But Yuni was amazing. She patiently listen to what I want and work until I was happy with the result. Also Chloe did my hair, the result was super gorgeous! I am SUPER HAPPY with them.
