From so many years of painting events, Yurik understands the importance of showcasing the little details that make his clients unique in his paintings. He is an expert at capturing so much more than just a scene but the emotional atmosphere that makes that scene what it is.
Yurik will arrive at your event two to four hours before the festivities begin to start painting the background of your wedding scene. As you and your guests arrive and your event comes to life, so will your painting, as he incorporates all the little details. His unmatched ability to portray the ambiance and emotion of a celebration through art has allowed him to dazzle clients throughout the Western United States. For Yurik, one of his favorite parts of his job is getting to interact and share his talents with a live audience as he chats with your guests and paints as they look on.
Your canvas will then be taken to Yurik's studio for those all-important finishing touches.

painter, and what drew us in the most was a previous painting he had done for someone else’s wedding that is so stunning, and we knew that he would create something magical for us as well based on that one alone.
The initial phone calls and meetings we had with him went so smoothly, he answered all our questions and gave us so much advice and other helpful tips that would make our vision come to light more. We were also very 50/50 on whether our setting would be in the church or in our second location and he was very patient with us until we made that decision the day before the wedding. He never made us feel rushed at all during this whole process which was great as it’s something so unique that you will have forever.
As for the actual painting, both me and my husband cannot believe what he created. I think it is my favorite thing in the whole world right now. The reactions from all our family and friends at the wedding were unreal too. For the last 30 minutes of our reception, all remaining guests gathered around and you heard so many exclamations of shock and awe and every iPhone popped up in the air to capture what he had started. And it wasn’t even close to how stunning the finished product is now.
Every time we think about having this painting in our home for the rest of our lives, we get so excited. It is so beautiful and he captured our likeness so well. He even added and edited things that we asked to be changed. He is just amazing and both my husband and I cannot recommend him enough. rik's portfolio was the most impressive to us. We really cared about the painting actually looking like us, and that is why we chose Yurik. The way he is able to capture facial details is pretty impressive.
To book, we had a phone call with Yurik to chat about the package we wanted to purchase (he offers different sizes of painting, different canvases, and additions like paper prints of the final product).
After booking, we had another phone call closer to the wedding to clarify which moment we wanted him to capture (we chose walking back down the aisle after being married) and timing for the day of.
On the day of the wedding, Yurik was prompt and flexible (we were the ones running late). We took some pre-ceremony photos with our photographers on sight, and then we had Yurik take photos of us walking down the aisle “pretending” like we had just been married so he could have a reference to paint. I highly recommend doing this so Yurik can get started on the painting and not have to worry about capturing the moment digitally in real time. Capturing those photos took maybe 90 seconds, so it’s not a big deal to add to your timeline.
It was so cool to see the progress on the painting throughout the night, and our guests loved it. We had so many compliments on how cool it was and how talented Yurik was! Live painting is pretty awesome because you not only get the priceless keepsake, but also guest entertainment.
By the end of the night, the painting was pretty far along (enough that it was very obvious the painting was us and the moment was clear), but it was not done. This was expected, but I just want to clarify that for folks who think they might be walking away with the painting that night.
Yurik took it home to his studio, and we picked the final product up about 2 months later! We are beyond impressed with his work - it is truly perfect.
Live painting is expensive! Yurik’s pricing was pretty comparable to other live painters in the area, though. The price is justified, in my opinion, for the product and experience you get.
