Zaca Mesa Winery is a stunning wine-country wedding venue in Los Olivos, California. The Winery was established in 1973 – just the third winery established in the region - and built into a top-class winery, producing some of the highest-quality wines in Santa Barbara County. The estate vineyard is also SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certified, recognizing the winery’s decades-long commitment to respectful and holistic environmental practices. Zaca Mesa Winery is a large estate with up to 200 guests. With several indoor and outdoor celebration areas, this California property offers endless possibilities. For vow exchanges beneath the California sunshine, you and your love can say "I do" at the Grenache Blanc Vineyard Lawn. For an indoor wedding extravaganza, you and your guests can retreat to the property's modern View Room. Here, everyone can enjoy a wonderful meal and clink wine glasses next to 9ft-tall glass sliding doors and windows, which offer panoramic views of the Zaca Mesa estate. Zaca Mesa Winery also offers a variety of idyllic backdrops for memorable wedding photos. The Barrel Room is perfect for striking, directed shots, while a romantic stroll through the vineyard makes for heartfelt, candid images.

hich was one of the most important things to me throughout the planning process. They responded quickly to every single question my husband and I had along the way.
We originally toured the venue with Tara in 2024 and stayed in communication with her during the early planning stages. She answered all of our questions, walked us through the paperwork, and gave us all the information we could have possibly needed to get started. About halfway through the process, the venue transitioned to a new events manager, Jake (and let me just say, he is a BLAST). He made planning SO fun and never once made it feel scary or intimidating. He continued to answer every question thoroughly and promptly, which made such a difference.
We scheduled tours periodically throughout the planning process to make sure we had everything right, especially when it came time to finalize the details, and they were always incredibly accommodating with our schedules. Beyond being a well-oiled wedding venue machine, Zaca Mesa can truly cater to any type of couple or bride. If you want a venue with a seamless, start-to-finish process, they are perfect — with a recommended vendor list, furniture available, and flexible spaces and packages that accommodate different timelines, locations, and needs.
As a very picky, detail-oriented, and DIY-heavy bride, I also loved that the venue functioned as a blank (yet stunning) canvas. I was able to design my own layout, bring in my own rentals and vendors, and still utilize vendors from their trusted list when it made sense.
While the rolling hills of golden grass, green oak trees, vineyard views, and incredible wine are undeniably beautiful, what truly makes Zaca Mesa special is the people behind it. They made our experience exceptional, and it truly was. Thank you to everyone at Zaca Mesa for giving us the best wedding experience we could have ever asked for. We can't wait to be back, sipping wine under the oak trees. <3

Beyond the scenery, the estate wine is incredible. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how much they enjoyed the selection; it truly elevated the entire evening. The on-site accommodations were also a perfect fit for our needs—convenient and very well-appointed.
The highlight of our experience, however, was working with Jake L. He was a total pro and brought such a fantastic, positive energy to the planning process. Jake was incredibly easy to work with, coordinating seamlessly with our wedding planner and all our vendors to ensure everyone was in sync.
Thanks to Jake’s attention to detail, the entire day ran smoothly. We were able to actually relax and celebrate because we knew he had everything under control. If you’re looking for a venue with "wow-factor" views and a top-tier team, we cannot recommend Zaca Mesa and Jake highly enough!

Between the vineyards, the oak trees and spring/summer poppies, the setting is absolutely picturesque. Not only is the venue stunning but the staff, especially Tara Creighton are top notch. She truly went above and beyond and we are so very thankful for all her help. Zaca Mesa was very flexible and catered to our specific desires and vision. The site fee was very reasonable and it allowed us to spend money on other details like live music vs paying a fortune for just the venue. Another one of our favorites things about Zaca Mesa and arguably one of the biggest factors in our decision, is their wine. The wine is delicious and being able to choose between both Tread and Zaca Mesa wines allowed us to have the variety that we were looking for. Our overall experience with Zaca Mesa was incredible. Zaca Mesa was the first venue we toured in Santa Ynez valley and my whole family and I fell in love with the beautiful rustic scenery, delicious wine and the incredible staff! The event coordinator, Tara was so sweet and accommodating and helped us every step of the way. Having dinner under the large oak tree next to the vineyards felt so magical. The weather wasn’t what we hoped for unfortunately but Tara and the whole staff was able to adjust quickly and move everyone inside. Upon inquiry they provide helpful venue packages and layouts to see what fits your day, as well as recommended vendors. Their recommendations are tried and true and so helpful for a venue where you have to bring a lot of things in. It’s also beneficial to have vendors familiar with the venue.
You can expect the same level of great service and excitement throughout wedding planning and on the day of. You honestly get a lot of value at this venue, including a Zaca Mesa event manager. Tara is reliable, a pleasure to work with, and a breath of fresh air. She and their broader team really care about making your wedding unique and special!
Not only did we have the biggest smiles all day, our guest did too. Thank you Zaca Mesa for sharing our day with us and for making it absolutely amazing. It will be our favorite place forever!
