Zaca Mesa Winery was the best venue we could have chosen for our June 2025 wedding. Not only do they offer clear, transparent pricing, but their communication is truly top-notch, w...
hich was one of the most important things to me throughout the planning process. They responded quickly to every single question my husband and I had along the way.
We originally toured the venue with Tara in 2024 and stayed in communication with her during the early planning stages. She answered all of our questions, walked us through the paperwork, and gave us all the information we could have possibly needed to get started. About halfway through the process, the venue transitioned to a new events manager, Jake (and let me just say, he is a BLAST). He made planning SO fun and never once made it feel scary or intimidating. He continued to answer every question thoroughly and promptly, which made such a difference.
We scheduled tours periodically throughout the planning process to make sure we had everything right, especially when it came time to finalize the details, and they were always incredibly accommodating with our schedules. Beyond being a well-oiled wedding venue machine, Zaca Mesa can truly cater to any type of couple or bride. If you want a venue with a seamless, start-to-finish process, they are perfect — with a recommended vendor list, furniture available, and flexible spaces and packages that accommodate different timelines, locations, and needs.
As a very picky, detail-oriented, and DIY-heavy bride, I also loved that the venue functioned as a blank (yet stunning) canvas. I was able to design my own layout, bring in my own rentals and vendors, and still utilize vendors from their trusted list when it made sense.
While the rolling hills of golden grass, green oak trees, vineyard views, and incredible wine are undeniably beautiful, what truly makes Zaca Mesa special is the people behind it. They made our experience exceptional, and it truly was. Thank you to everyone at Zaca Mesa for giving us the best wedding experience we could have ever asked for. We can't wait to be back, sipping wine under the oak trees. <3
P.S. A huge shoutout to Jacob in the tasting room for being the best wine sommelier ever. Every wine he recommended was a hit. At this point, we’ll happily buy anything you tell us to.
Our wedding at Zaca Mesa Winery this July was an absolute standout. From the moment we toured the estate, we knew the stunning Los Olivos backdrop was exactly what we wanted. The v...
iews of the rolling hills and oaks are breathtaking, and the grounds are kept in pristine condition.
Beyond the scenery, the estate wine is incredible. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how much they enjoyed the selection; it truly elevated the entire evening. The on-site accommodations were also a perfect fit for our needs—convenient and very well-appointed.
The highlight of our experience, however, was working with Jake L. He was a total pro and brought such a fantastic, positive energy to the planning process. Jake was incredibly easy to work with, coordinating seamlessly with our wedding planner and all our vendors to ensure everyone was in sync.
Thanks to Jake’s attention to detail, the entire day ran smoothly. We were able to actually relax and celebrate because we knew he had everything under control. If you’re looking for a venue with "wow-factor" views and a top-tier team, we cannot recommend Zaca Mesa and Jake highly enough!

lt of the venue, my client's wedding details were shifted with just two weeks before the wedding. Tara and the owner did everything they could and made so many exceptions to accommodate my client and all their needs. I have never experienced this level of superior customer service in all of my career. On the day of the event, a flip was required by the client in a small window. Zaca Mesa, La Dolce Vita Catering, Events by Chrissy and the florist team - Hello Daisy. Zaca Mesa was incredible, I am looking forward to brining clients here and returning to plan more weddings here!

The winery is breathtaking and the views were unbelievable. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone having a wedding or other event. I have visited several wineries in the area, and Zaca Mesa is a beautiful place to relax and have a glass! We will continue to visit this winery for years to come!

an incredible indoor reception space, a perfect wedding ceremony under the most glorious Oak tree. We could not have asked for better! Tara truly made us feel like VIP’s throughout the whole booking, planning process and especially on the day of. Our guests were in awe of the view (we also lucked out with absolutely perfect weather), and how every detail was perfectly executed. We could not recommend the Zaca Mesa Winery enough, and can't wait to return for future celebrations. It's definitely well-worth the investment for a beautiful, love-filled weekend!

sional, responsive, and accommodating; and of course, the wine is fantastic. Everything from the venue booking to the wine selection and the actual day was completely seamless. It was better than anything I ever dreamed. I am thrilled that I made the decision to hold my wedding here and the memories will last a lifetime. I'm also happy to now be wine club members and go back frequently. Can't recommend enough!
One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was getting married at Zaca Mesa Winery. We instantly fell in love with how remote it is and how you truly feel like you are surro...
unded by nothing by nature. It’s set back from the street so we didn’t have to worry about cars zooming by like at other venues. Between the vineyards, the oak trees and spring/summer poppies, the setting is absolutely picturesque. Not only is the venue stunning but the staff, especially Tara Creighton are top notch. It was important for us to be able to connect with the staff and Tara did an amazing job of working with us and helping to manage the event on the day of. She truly went above and beyond and we are so very thankful for all her help. Zaca Mesa was very flexible and catered to our specific desires and vision. The site fee was very reasonable and it allowed us to spend money on other details like live music vs paying a fortune for just the venue. Another one of our favorites things about Zaca Mesa and arguably one of the biggest factors in our decision, is their wine. The wine is delicious and being able to choose between both Tread and Zaca Mesa wines allowed us to have the variety that we were looking for. Our overall experience with Zaca Mesa was incredible. We are grateful for the memories we made there and for all the incredible staff that helped to make our day perfect. If getting married in wine country is your dream, check out Zaca Mesa, it will not disappoint.

ing and I can't express how the team went out of their way to help us with our wedding. I knew we had a special place when I saw the venue, but I didn't know I would get the customer service level that we received. They made the event seamless and rolled with all the punches. The venue, the wines, the staff are all five star.
The wedding / events coordinator, Ileana, at Zaca Mesa was absolutely lovely. She was a pleasure to talk to, kind, professional and informative. The staff at the winery poured our ...
guests wine and were very engaging and delightful. We hired a DJ from a friend's recommendation and a catering company recommended by Zaca Mesa (I'm sorry it's been some time and I cannot remember their name) but the food was scrumptious.
The atmosphere of the winery is gorgeous, it was my dream to have a wedding at a winery - close to nature and yet glamorous and romantic, and it came true. We had our guests stay at Buellton (hotel) and we bussed them from there to the winery (no drinking and driving).
We definitely recommend exploring Zaca Mesa as your wedding venue, it a gorgeous place you and your guests will love.
When it came to finding a venue, my husband and I knew we wanted an outdoor venue. We packed 6 venue tours in a weekend, and Zaca Mesa Winery was our first stop. As we walked the g...
rounds and made our way down to the lawn and oak tree, I turned to my then-fiance and said, "This is it; we don't need to look anywhere else." The lawn and oak tree package offers stunning mountain views and an intimate ceremony and reception feel.
After touring the remaining venues, we went home and agreed that Zaca Mesa Winery was our venue. The coordinators at Zaca Mesa Winery were fantastic, easily reachable, and prompt with their responses. We appreciated Tara's guidance and assistance through the planning process, including wine suggestions, ceremony and reception layout, and more. Day of, Tara went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect - even helping my mom and maid of honor bustle my train. We can't thank Tara and the Team at Zaca Mesa Winery enough for making our wedding a day we will never forget.
We were looking for a venue that would handle a small wedding and still give us the attention and support that a larger group might command. Zaca Mesa was perfect. The grounds are ...
lovely, the staff is friendly, accommodating, supportive, and flexible, and the recommendations they made for supporting vendors were top-notch. Each step of the way, Ileana kept in contact with us and made decision-making easy. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect, with the staff attending to details and coordinating with our wedding planner to make sure everything went as planned. And, of course, being able to feature the excellent Zaca Mesa wines to our guests was a plus. We continue to get compliments from our guests about what a beautiful day and evening it was.

s the perfect setting, the wine was great, and it ran so smoothly. The backdrop also made for such beautiful pictures. My husband and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect wedding and we’re so grateful for everyone’s help to make it a magical night. My husband and I are Santa Barbara locals and always dreamed of getting married on a vineyard. My parents flew down from Oregon to tour different vineyard venues and the venues we ...
toured in Paso Robles didn’t feel quite right and knew the Santa Ynez valley felt like home. Zaca Mesa was the first venue we toured in Santa Ynez valley and my whole family and I fell in love with the beautiful rustic scenery, delicious wine and the incredible staff! The event coordinator, Tara was so sweet and accommodating and helped us every step of the way. Having dinner under the large oak tree next to the vineyards felt so magical. The weather wasn’t what we hoped for unfortunately but Tara and the whole staff was able to adjust quickly and move everyone inside. We received so many compliments about the wine, food and especially the beauty of the venue. Some guests said it was the best and most beautiful wedding they have been to! We’re so grateful for the Zaca staff and will remain wine members for life and continue to visit frequently!
My husband and I got married at Zaca Mesa Winery and we barely even have words to express how amazing our day was. The venue is absolutely stunning and everything that we dreamed ...
of. The wine was spectacular, of course. We had most of our events outside but as the night went on it got cold and the venue moved us inside which was equally as stunning. I highly recommend Zaca Mesa for your wedding or big event.
Also, a big shoutout to Tara, the event manager. She was there for us every step of the way, answered all of our questions, and was extremely accommodating on our wedding day.
Zaca Mesa Winery is an absolute dream venue! From the moment we arrived, Illeana made us feel comfortable, excited and gave us a vision of how our day would be. The entire team is ...
responsive, direct, and friendly with any changes or ideas we had for the wedding.
Pros
- great wine
- fantastic staff
- flexible with time for vendor setup, breakdown and were very professional when the hiccups happened.
- responsive and respectful to our vendors
- lots of different, fun areas for guests to relax and enjoy
Cons
- bathrooms are a little far from the festivity areas. Also, very ugly and outdated.
- no bridal suite
- event must end by 10pm (although most venues in the area require this)
All in all, I can't recommend them enough. We had the most memorable wedding day at Zaca Mesa and can't wait to return to relive our special day (with lots of great wine!).
